This Week in Trophies 08-16-2015 – 08-22-2015

This week kind of had it all when it came to trophies for me. A little PS4, a little PS3, and even a little PS Vita. It was just one of those weeks where I really couldn’t fully commit to just one game and ended up playing a bunch of games. At least I didn’t start anything new so all of the trophies that I got basically were working towards completing some games here and there.

Fallout 3 – 7%

Up one whole percent this week for the two trophies that I was able to get. I’m really enjoying starting my week with Fallout 3. I’m liking how the story is progressing, I’m liking the side missions, and I’m liking just exploring the Wastelands. There really isn’t anything that I’m not enjoying with this game, but I am hoping that I can at least complete the game before November.

The Sims 3 – 87%

I was so close to getting the platinum this week! So close! It’s actually very frustrating how close I am but the last few trophies require quite a bit of work, like granting 1,000 wishes to my Sims. I just recently hit the 600 mark, so only 400 more to go! I’m hoping that I can finish this game in the upcoming week, but it’s possible that my play time could lapse into September.

Tales from the Borderlands – 81%

I took some time out of my week to play through the fourth episode that was released on Tuesday. Ugh that ending, but I’m excited about the final episode and hopefully won’t have to wait to long for it. I’ll have the full review of the episode up on Wednesday.

Crazy Market – 35%

This is one of those games that I didn’t realize that I still had on my PS Vita, and thought what the hell I might as well try to finish it. It’s a free game, but it’s also one of those games that wants you to spend money because you only get three lives every 30 minutes. That’s fine with me since I really can’t see myself playing it all that long anyway.

Treasures of Montezuma Blitz – 52%

Another free game on my PS Vita that I didn’t realize was still installed. Once again I figured what the hell and decided to pick this one up again and play. I actually had a lot of fun playing. That was mostly because I had over 200 lives stored up. I can see myself continuing to casually pick this up during the upcoming week when I have some free time.

Now for this upcoming week, I’m going to be super busy being an adult so I’m not sure how much time I’m going to have for gaming. Being as busy as I plan to be, I’m probably going to be sticking with the small PS Vita games since it’s easy to pick it up play for 30 minutes and put it down. I’m going to try really hard for The Sims 3 platinum that if I get it I’m going to reward myself with starting Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for the third time on my PS3, this time with trophies! Here’s hoping I can still get a decent amount of trophies this upcoming week.

  1. I used to be an achievement/trophie whore up until recently (after 100% completing Far Cry 4)… & this is making me want to go back lol.

    • Congrats on completing Far Cry 4 100%. After getting the platinum I was done with that game and didn’t want to bother with the DLC. If you do decided to go back to trophy/achievement hunting which game do you think you’ll start with?

      • Lately I’ve been playing my PS3 a lot more. I’m too broke to buy the games I want for newer consoles so I’m probably gonna start with something I already have. Maybe Borderlands, I can play that game for days. I’m Christina btw & I think your blog is marvelous.

      • Thanks so much for reading my blog! I totally feel your pain. Being broke but wanting new games really sucks, but at least it allows you to work on your backlog. Borderlands is a really great game to go for the platinum in and even the 100%. I keep telling myself that I’ll go back to finish up the DLC trophies one of these days.
