I Never Finished…God of War II…Because

God of War II

As I said last week, this was the time in my life where I was unemployed so I figured I might as well play as many games as possible. Thinking I would quickly find another job, spoiler alert – I didn’t, I was trying to fit in as many games as possible without caring about trophies. Since I already played God of War, I figured the next sensible thing to do would to play God of War II, especially with God of War III on the way. Unfortunately, I never finished this game either. Keep reading to find out why.

Taking place after the first God of War, Kratos is still plagued by nightmares of what has happened to his family. Being God of War isn’t enough and now he wants to take down all of the Gods that stand in his way. His sights are set on Zeus this time around basically setting up the main plot of God of War III. You’ll learn some interesting facts about Kratos this time around as he screams his way through another game.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy this series. It was a game that I played multiple times on my PS2 and was thrilled to be able to play it again on my PS3. I played this game over and over to the point of pure exhaustion. At this point I really didn’t have that many games that I actually owned for my PS3, but this was one of them so it was a given that I would play this game constantly. While I did technically finish the game, I seen the ending and all that good stuff, I just didn’t get all of the trophies leaving it finished but unfinished.

As you can see from the picture above, I was able to get 24 out of the 35 trophies for this game. Pretty silly if you ask me since the ones I’m missing really don’t seem all that difficult at all and one of them seems like it was a glitch since it was a story mission and the trophy for it didn’t pop. The only problem I see with the trophies that I don’t have is beating the Loom Chamber in under 10 minutes and the 500 hit combo. Everything else seems pretty obtainable especially since there are no difficulty type trophies, which is always a bonus.

Probability of this game getting played again…5 out of 5.

The good thing is I still own this game, it came as a collection with both the first and second game so it’s a given that I still have this game. With the new God of War game hopefully coming out sometimes in 2017 or at least 2018, I feel like it’s probably time to go back and start playing these games again and even getting the platinum trophies for them. Besides, it’s been so long since I actually played these games that I can see myself easily getting back into them.

God of War

Now it’s your turn. Do you have this God of War finished and the platinum trophy added to your collection? Or are you like me and have this game finished, but also unfinished at the same time? Maybe you aren’t into the God of War games at all and think they’re horrible. Let me know in the comments section below and as for next week, it was another attempt to live out my PS2 glory days and find a sports game that I actually liked. If I’m talking about it here, you can probably tell that I probably didn’t, so next week I’ll let you know why I never finished MLB 10 The Show.
