I want to start off by saying that I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year! In typical fashion I spent the last hours of 2016 trying to get in as much gaming time as possible and get those last few trophies that might help me out with my goals. I’ll let you know how I did with those tomorrow, but after that I spent some time with a buddy of mine playing some Borderlands which is always fun. I tried to get a lot of gaming in this week and I think I did pretty good so here’s a breakdown of how my week went.
Overwatch: Origins Edition – 13%
I had no intention of getting this game, but I got it as a gift and was extremely happy because one of my favorite Mass Effect 3 players was playing this game and I knew it would be awesome to team up with him. It was and I’m having a great time playing. We could always use some extra players though so if you have Overwatch and want to join leave me a comment in the comments section and we can set up a gaming session.
Stardew Valley – 7%
I finally got some trophies for this little game that I am loving so much. The trophies are well deserved and are no easy feat at all. It doesn’t matter because I just adore this game. It’s fun and there’s so much to do and I can’t stop playing. While it’s never a bad thing when you can’t stop playing a game, when you have a backlog as huge as mine it kinda sucks. Backlog be dammed though because I’m going to continue playing.
RISK URBAN ASSAULT – 45%
I’m in the mood of “what the hell was I thinking” while I play this game now. I’m struggling to play the online portion which is filled with people dropping out of the game when they’re losing and then trying to actually find a game while trying to finish up with some of the trophies for this game. It’s one of those games I’m going to struggle with but eventually get I hope.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier – 40%
All I’m willing to say about this game is that I played the first two episodes this week and you’ll have to wait a few weeks for my full review on each episode. Yes I know, but I’m behind once again on my reviews and have a ton of them coming out in the upcoming weeks. It’ll be worth the wait though!
Mafia III – 17%
When I know that I want to play a game, I try to stay away from other reviews and stuff which I know is weird because I expect you to read my reviews when the game comes out, but I feel like if I don’t I won’t be objective about the game. Anyway I am absolutely hating this game. I think that the quests are repetitive, you can’t do what you want when you want, and I’m tired of it playing out like a movie. Not to mention that Lincoln is one of the most unproportioned characters I’ve ever come across. The man is huge, clunky to move around, and just overall weird to maneuver throughout the game.
That was it for this week. A nice way to end out the year and start a new year fresh. While you’ll see how I did on my goals for last year, I’ll also let you know the new goals I have in store for this year. As for this week though I plan on continuing to play Overwatch, Mafia III (grudgingly), Stardew Valley, RISK URBAN ASSAULT, and I actually have enough room on my PS4 to add a new game which might happen. I’ll let you know how everything went next week.
