I Never Finished…Choplifter HD…Because

Choplifter HD

I first picked up this game way back when it was first free thanks to PS+. It was one of those games that I never got any trophies on, but after not being able to play a full game because of an increase in workload, I decided to go back to this game to play between having to work because I thought it would be fun and simple. If it ended up on this list you know that I didn’t finish it, so keep reading to find out why.

In Choplifter HD, you play as a Helicopter sent on dangerous missions throughout different scenario with different objectives each time. It’s a regular 2D platforming game where each level is different and each way you navigate through each level is also different. There’s really nothing special about this game and it kind of feels that not a lot of work went into it.

At first I enjoyed playing this game. Mainly because it still allowed me to game a little while I had more and more added to my plate at work. This was all on me because I wanted to prove myself at work and be the best web designer that I could be. Little did I know that I was working for a con artist and would soon find myself out of a job again. That’s not the point here though, the point is why didn’t I finish this game. After a few days of playing, I ended up doing the same missions over and over again. There are only so many times that you can play this platformer in one sitting without getting bored. So, it was the boredom of this game that did it for me. Each mission started to blend into one another as they became the same and I just couldn’t handle it anymore.

As you can see from the picture above, I was able to get 2 out of the 12 trophies for this game still giving me an A rating in this game. I’m kind of happy with that. I think that as a gamer I strive to get good ratings in games, but I want to make 2019 the year of fun gaming again because as I’ve said before, gaming just hasn’t been as fun anymore as I end up playing a lot of games that I don’t like either to completion or almost to completion just for ratings and other things. While I still strive for good completion ratings and everything else, I still want to have fun. Anyway, I was able to get two random trophies for this game and I’m missing a bunch of other random trophies along with trophies for finishing the whole game and getting 5 stars on each level.

Probability of this game getting played again…0 out of 5.

This is one of those games that I have no intention of ever playing again. Of course, like other games on this list it sits on my PS3 waiting to be played, but I barely even look at because to be honest it’s at the bottom of my long list of downloaded games. For me, I’ll take the A rating and run with it. If I ever feel like playing this game again, it’ll be just for fun and not for the trophies.

Now it’s your turn. Did you also get this game for free thanks to PS+? Did you love it? Hate it? Let me know down in the comments section below. Now for next week, a game that I bought because it was on sale and I wanted to replace this game because it was a sports game and I could spend a minimal amount of time on it before going to work as I still lived out some fantasy that I was going to work for this little startup company that would turn into something huge. Spoiler alert, it totally didn’t. Anyway, next week I’ll let you know why I never finished NHL 14.
