Since the last time that I posted this blog there have been so many guests announcements that my head is seriously spinning. I mean I was at first a little worried about the guest list, I mean in some ways I still am, but the announcements keep coming so let’s get to them.
Kiefer Sutherland

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve watched a bunch of different things that Kiefer Sutherland has been in including movies and TV shows, but just because you’ve watched someone doesn’t mean that you always want to go meet them and this is just one of those times. I think it’s great that he’s going to be there, but I’m just going to pass on this one.

The final piece of the Smallville puzzle is the star himself. This is really great like I’ve said before and I always think that having as many of the cast of a show or movie at the convention is always great because people want to meet these people in groups so that they can get whatever they want signed once and that’s it.

I’m pretty sure that Stephen Amell has been announced for MegaCon a couple of times now but has cancelled. I really hate people getting their hopes up that this will be the year that Stephen Amell finally comes to MegaCon, so here’s hoping that he actually shows up this time.

Believe it or not, I’m a huge fan of Boy Meets World as it was my whole Friday night growing up. This was a great little surprise and a blast from the past as the whole cast was announced. I’m super excited for this even if they are missing one very special cast member and you’ll know who when I’m done announcing all of the cast that they were able to get.

I’m not sure with this one yet. The first video game voice actor announcement was of someone that I wasn’t even excited for so this was kind of a bummer. I know a lot of people are excited since she’s the first person to voice Zelda in the whole Zelda franchise, but I haven’t played the game or am a fan of her other roles enough to meet her.

So here’s the thing, I’ve always wanted to watch iZombie because it looked like a cool show, but I never had the time to do so. There were so many seasons that I just decided that I would wait until the show ended then I would just watch all of the seasons and be done with it. Turned out that when they announced Rose McIver, I figured I might not get that many chances to meet the star of the show and have been binge watching iZombie since. I have to say that I love the show and am pretty excited about this guest now.

I’ve been complaining for years that we never get anyone from Gotham while it seems like all of the other conventions do so I’m super excited that we get James Gordon himself. If you’re going to have Kiefer Sutherland at MegaConand Corey Feldman, why not just add in Jason Patric and do a Lost Boy’s reunion as well? This is awesome, but this is also one of those movies that I didn’t really care for so it’s going to be a pass for me.

Cancellations
It’s not a convention unless you have some cancellations and this years first person to cancel was Jason Momoa. I know this is disappointing for a lot of fans especially after the success of Aquaman and seriously, if you’re a fan of Game of Thrones who would pass up the chance to meet Khal Drogo? This is a bummer, but I have to say that it did happen last year and then he came back for one day so fingers crossed that this is what happens again.
As more and more announcements come I have to say that I’m feeling the excitement. For me I just need a couple of more well known voice actors, and maybe a couple of more people from TV shows or movies that I actually watched to be in full blown fan mode, but right now I’m feeling pretty good and am getting ready to go. There’s still a bunch of time to go and I’m expecting a bunch more announcements so come by at the beginning of next month to see who else was announced and just how much more excited I am about the whole event.
