Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Is there a control issue with Ms. Pac-Man on the PS4?

Submitted by Anonymous Is there a control issue with Ms. Pac-Man on the PS4?

The answer to this question is pretty simple. HELL YES! There are some major control issues when it comes to playing Ms. Pac-Man on the PS4. I don’t know how many times this game frustrated me to the point of wanting to break the damn controller because the movements of Ms. Pac-Man just didn’t function correctly. Sometimes there was a delay in when a button was pressed for her movement and when she actually moved it would cause me to run into a ghost that could have been avoided. Then sometimes, it was like she just did whatever the hell she wanted, typical woman, and didn’t listen to my commands at all. This was an extremely frustrating thing for the PS4 version and it ruined the game just a little bit. While I love when these games are brought to the PS4, I would really love a re-release like this of Space Invaders and Asteroids, it takes away that little piece of good memory I had with this game when I originally played it.

My suggestion is, that if you’re playing this game just be patient. There’s really nothing to be done about it and I’m not even sure if this game was patched or not since after I beat it, I deleted it.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Do you have any tips for playing Tropico 5?

Submitted by Anonymous Do you have any tips for playing Tropico 5?

Yes, I do actually. I have quite a few times for playing Tropico 5 and I will break them down for you. There are basically three modes for this game which are Story, Sandbox, and Multiplayer. Each of these can be tackled with different methods, so depending on what you’re looking for help with scroll down and keep reading.

Story

One of the more difficult aspects of this game, I started story mode so many times before I found the right rhythm to actually complete it, and my main suggestion would be to save often. Finish a goal that was involved with the story? Save your game! This might seem like a simple suggestion, but it’s the best one that I can give. While you might finish one goal for the story you’re working on, you can completely screw up the next goal and have to start all over again, unless you have a backup save. Most of the time you’ll know what you did wrong and at least you can go back and start from your last save instead of starting story mode all over again.

Sandbox

This is by far the easiest part of the game. You’ll of course want to do the two trophies for the Sandbox version and those can both be done at the same time by playing on a tiny island that is going to have relentless disasters. Make sure to set your goals low and it should only take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Everything else that isn’t story related can also be completed in Sandbox mode because you can set yourself up to have unlimited money making those specific trophies that don’t relate to the story mode super easy. While this does take a little while, it shouldn’t take all that long.

Multiplayer

This is a complete pain in the ass because let’s face it, if you can find some random to play the multiplayer with it’s very likely that they will just leave if they aren’t winning. They’re there for the same reasons that you are and that’s to get the trophies not actually play. What you’ll want to do is to get a friend to do this with you or go on PSNprofiles.com and set up a game session. I can’t recommend this site enough because there are some really cool people on there that are willing to help people out. Unfortunately, after getting the platinum for this game I deleted it so I am no longer available to help, but there are a bunch of other people that are.

And there you have it, some tips to help you get by when it comes to playing Tropico 5. I hope they help and if you have a questions for a specific trophy, you can always ask in the comments section and I’ll make it one of my weekly trophy tips.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Is the last mission in Dragon Age: Inquisition glitched?

Submitted by Anonymous Is the last mission in Dragon Age: Inquisition glitched?

I’ve played this game a bunch of times meaning that I’ve also beat the game a bunch of times playing the last mission on Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. (I don’t like to stack my trophies so I went for a playthrough on each difficulty) Anyway, this is what I found out. On Normal and Hard, the last mission plays out like it should. Everything happens when it should and it plays out like the ending to a really great movie. On Nightmare though, that’s a completely different story. On Nightmare mode, I had to restart this mission so many times I lost count. Sometimes the mission wouldn’t progress, sometimes the things that were supposed to die died but it didn’t register that they did keeping me trapped in a certain area. This was extremely frustrating especially since beating this mission to get the trophy for beating the game on Nightmare mode was the last one I needed for the platinum. Eventually the final mission did play out but I can confirm that while the final mission works fine on Normal and Hard, there is a glitch in the final mission on Nightmare mode. Since this was one of my more recent questions, I’m sure this hasn’t and will not be patched. My advice is to just play along and if you get stuck and have to restart do so. It will eventually work. Not the best advice, but at least it’s something.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Are there any problems with Bully on the PS4?

Submitted by Anonymous Are there any problems with Bully on the PS4?

Unfortunately there are some problems with this game as it made its transition from the PS2 / PS3 to the PS4. As I said in my full review of Bully, the mechanics of the overall game are a little wonky. Well, more than wonky. In fact at times they can be absolutely controller breaking as trying to control Jimmy and move him around campus or the town just doesn’t work right at times. I found that there was also a slight delay in when you actually press the button on your controller to when Jimmy actually performs the action. While this doesn’t matter most of the times, the times that it does is when it’s most frustrating.

Then there’s this issue that the game crashes. Thankfully it only happened to me once, but when it did I lost a couple of hours of playtime since I hadn’t saved. I’m not sure if anyone else had this problem or if it was a constant problem, but you would rather be safe than sorry in a case like this so save often. Other than that the game worked fine and if was a nice chance to replay an old PS2 favorite.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – What are the main choices to make in Tales from the Borderlands?

Submitted by Anonymous What are the main choices to make in Tales from the Borderlands?

While there are a lot of choices to be made within this game, as there are with any Telltale game, I’m thinking that this question was more geared towards which choices are the ones that turn up at the end of the game and give you the statistics of who picked what. So, here go you, a list of all the main choices from episode 1 – 5.

Warning, there are some spoilers! Obviously.

Episode 1
• Will you keep your cool?
• Will you let Shade accompany you?
• Will you let Felix die?
• What mask will you purchase?
• What will you tell the loader bot to do?
• Will you trust Sasha?
• Who will you choose?
• What kind of loadout will you choose?

Episode 2
• Will you let Sasha help you?
• What will you pick at Scooter’s shop?
• Will you look inside of Sasha’s gift?
• How will you shoot Finch?
• Did you tell Vaughn about Jack?
• Where will you choose to go?
• Will you bro-fist Vaugh? (That sounded incredibly dirty)
• Will you trust Finona?

Episode 3
• Who will you tell Vallory who is to blame?
• Will you agree that Athena should kill Cassius?
• Will you let Vallory help you?
• Will you make a tentative alliance with Jack?
• Will you give Sasha a flower?
• Will you refuse to let go of Sasha?

Episode 4
• How will you honor Scooter?
• What will you do to the tour group?
• Will you shoot the Diamond Pony?
• Will you reveal Jack’s assistance?
• Will you knock Yvette out?
• Will you reject Hyperion?

Episode 5
• Will you shoot Finch?
• Will you tell Rhy’s to shut up?
• Will you ship Rhy’s and Sasha?
• Will you destroy AI Jack?
• Will you confess to having a crush on Sasha?
• Who will you choose for your final team?

Now that you’re thoroughly confused on what the hell this game is about, I suggest that you actually play the game and see what these choices are and why Telltale thinks that these are some of the most important choices throughout the whole game. As always, with these games I like to suggest that you play how you want. I don’t like influencing your choices by telling you what was right and what was wrong. That’s for you to figure out.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – How many classes are there to attend in Bully on PS4?

Submitted by Anonymous How many classes are there to attend in Bully on PS4?

There are a total of six classes for Bully on the PS4. Unlike the Bully Scholarship Edition that was released, two of the classes, Math and Geography, were left out of the PS4 version. You’ll start off at first with a Chemistry class in the morning and an English class in the afternoon. The next day things will switch up and you’ll have an Art class in the morning and a Gym class in the afternoon. The other two classes won’t be unlocked until chapter two of the game. In order to unlock both classes make sure that you play through the Hattrick Vs. Galloway mission. After that you’ll have Shop in the morning and Photography in the afternoon.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Do you have any suggestions for playing Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug?

Submitted by Anonymous Do you have any suggestions for playing Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug?

Turns out that I do actually have a couple of suggestions for playing Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug. One of the things that you’re going to want to do before starting the game is going to the options menu and giving yourself the max number of lives because you’re going to need it. Believe me you will die multiple times and at least if you have the extra lives you won’t have to start your game all over again. This will make it easier when it comes to some of the more difficult trophies for the game. You’ll also want to turn on level select while giving yourself more lives. This way, when you die and you’re still trying to collect all of the objects you need for trophies, you can go back to the last level that you died on and start from there instead of starting from the beginning all over again. This will save a lot of unnecessary frustration.

Also, I do have a few video’s for some of the trophies for this game and you can take a look at them below.

Just Passing Through

Clean Harpoon

Rock and Roll

Dig

Other than that I would say to just enjoy the game and take as much time as you need to play. Some of the trophies can be frustrating and if you get to the point of frustration, put the game down and play something else for a while before going back to play again.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Why didn’t I get the platinum trophy for Never Alone?

Submitted by Anonymous Why didn’t I get the platinum trophy for Never Alone?

Sometimes, I think you guys are like messing with me with some of the questions that I get. Anyway, this was one of those questions that I debated if I should answer or not and then just said what the hell I might as well.

The reason why you didn’t get the platinum trophy for Never Alone is…drum roll please…because there isn’t one. Yes, this game is platinum trophy-less meaning that there is no platinum trophy but you can get 100% of the trophies for this game which is basically just as good. If you need help seeing which games have platinum trophies though before you start playing them, I would once again suggest using PSNProfiles.com and looking up the game of your choice. Here you’ll find all of the games trophies along with seeing if they have a platinum trophy or not. If you’re just looking for games with platinum trophies then you’re kind of missing out, but no judgement here.

KUDOS: I want to take this time to say a big thank you to the anonymous people who have been asking really great legitimate video game questions. I didn’t think I would get so many questions asked and I really enjoy answering a lot of the questions that I answer. Keep asking and I’ll keep answering!

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Is Treasures of Montezuma Blitz broken?

This was a tough question for me, probably one of the most toughest questions that I’ve had to answer in this Frequently Asked Video Game Questions segment. Why was this question so hard? Mostly because I had to dust off my PS Vita, which I haven’t used since I played Taco Master, charge it, turn it on, only to find out that I had to update the damn thing, and then actually log on to see if this game works. Hard work indeed.

After all that hard work, I can no clearly tell you that Treasures of Montezuma Blitz is not exactly broken, but it’s not fully working anymore either. The lottery type scratch off ticket that you get to play when you first start the game is completely gone, there are no options to purchase anything such as lives and etc. in the Playstation store and there is no longer a leaderboard. The servers for this game seems to either be down or completely shut off. In other news though, if you have lives or gems still left over, the actual game still works. I had 160 lives when I started and then I had to level up to the next level to see if I gained more lives. When I moved up from level 68 to 69, insert 69 joke here, I did not get any more lives just more gems. I’m guessing that this means that once you run out of lives you’re basically done.

The moral of the story is that if you have lives left on this game, I would just get it over with and play the game until you run out of lives. I’ll keep checking to see if the servers are actually down or off and try to update this question when I get more information.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – What are the missable trophies in Minecraft: Story Mode?

Submitted by Anonymous What are the missable trophies in Minecraft: Story Mode?

As of late, to get a platinum trophy in any Telltale game all you had to do was well play the game. With Minecraft: Story Mode, that all changed and they threw in some missable trophies just to make sure you weren’t skipping through the game just getting the trophies without actually playing. Anyway, here’s a list of all the missable trophies in Minecraft: Story Mode.

Leveraging Resources – Attempt to craft a lever at the crafting table
Missable in – Episode 1
The way to get this trophy was featured as one of my Weekly Trophy Tips that came with a video that showed you exactly what you needed to do. You can see the whole thing here.

Griefer Madness – Acquired the Griefer
Missable in – Episode 2
Getting this trophy has a lot to do with the last decision that you made in episode one where you’re asked to choose which hero that you want to go after. If you want to get this trophy you’ll obviously choose Magnus.

Occam’s Razor – Acquired the Engineer
Missable in – Episode 2
As with the Griefer Maddness trophy, in order to get this trophy you’ll have to pick to go after Ellegaard at the end of episode one.

TIP: You can get both of these trophies without having to play the game twice. Make whatever choice you want for your “main” save and then create a new save. Go to the end of chapter one and choose the opposite of who you chose for your main save. Play through episode two, which doesn’t take long, until you get the trophy.

That’s Some Pig – Exhaust your conversations with Reuben
Missable in – Episode 3
The way to get this trophy was also featured in one of my Weekly Trophy Tips. While there is no video for this one, there’s a pretty good explanation on how to get the trophy. You can see the trophy tip here.

And there you have it. All of the missable trophies in Minecraft: Story Mode. Episode 4 and episode 5 have no missable trophies so you’re good to just sit back and play however you want not having to worry about missing anything.
