This Week in Trophies 08-27-2017 – 09-02-2017

This week was kind of back to crazy mode even though I was able to find some extra time to game. Just when I thought I had a break at work and would be secure for at least another two years, turns out that I’m really not as my job get threatened on a daily basis. This is wearing my patience really thin at the moment, but I am being an adult about it and just trying to go on with my life, and coming home to game is basically what I look forward to each and every day so I’ve been gaming as much as possible. Here’s how my week went.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – 40%

So I finished my first playthrough of this game and absolutely loved it which is why I started my second playthrough on Crushing mode. Not really having that great of a time because it’s crushing mode and even though I have some buffers to help, I just really hate dying every five seconds sometimes. Anyway, I still love the game and I’m really hoping to get the platinum for this game sometime soon.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – 30%

The only reason why I was able to get trophies for this game was because I really like the survival mode and have been playing it in between playing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. When a trophy pops in this mode it counts towards Uncharted 4.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Last Day of June – 100%

I know I usually don’t comment about games that I’ve finished until my review, but that review is weeks out as I’m that far behind in reviews so I will say that I absolutely loved this game and give it my strong recommendation to pick up and play even before my full review comes out. Seriously you do not want to miss this game.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm – 30%

This was one of my must have pre-ordered games because I just love the original game. I know my reviews are backed up and it’ll be a while before the review for the first episode comes out, but I’m really enjoying this game. I have a few little qualms about this game but nothing major and I’m looking forward to the next episode.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 43%

As some of you know I’m trying to grow my YouTube channel and have not only been doing video reviews of the games I play but also a bunch of Let’s Play video’s and it takes a lot of time on my PS4 using ShareFactory to edit which means that my PS3 is completely open for use since I still need to game. Anyway, that’s why this game has been getting so much attention lately.

And that was it for the week. A pretty impressive week with another 44 trophies for the week. I’m pretty sure next week will slow down a bit as I concentrate on playing and hopefully getting the platinum for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. If I can finish that up within the next two days, I’ll be going back to Fallout 4 for the rest of the week. Other than that, I’m not sure what else will be planned for the week, but as always I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.

This Week in Trophies 08-20-2017 – 08-26-2017

This turned out to be a pretty busy week for me gaming wise as I was able to play a bunch of different games. I really have no idea how, because it felt like I once again had no time to play. I have to say though that I made a huge effort to play Uncharted: the Lost Legacy and it seems like it payed off. Here’s how my week turned out for me.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series – 60%

I picked this game up on sale and was able to play through all three episodes that were available for this game. While I’m not going to say what I think about the game here, you probably already knew that was coming, stay tuned for my reviews for each episode that are coming up shortly. Until then feel free to check out my YouTube channel to see my complete playthroughs of each episode.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – 24%

I got this game a whole day early, I know it doesn’t seem like a lot but it makes a huge difference for me. Anyway, I’ve been playing this game any chance I can get because I am absolutely in love with it. I think it’s one of the best add-on’s for the Uncharted series and they couldn’t have picked two better characters to do this with. It’s a great story that has a lot of meaning to it and it’s just an amazing experience. I really can’t say enough good things about this game.

Sonic Mania – 14%

I was able to add one from this game to my list this week and believe me it’s not from a lack of trying. This game is super hard, it’s always been one of those harder games for me, but that doesn’t mean that I enjoy playing it any less. I’m seriously still loving this game and play for at least half an hour each morning before work. I might have been late to work one day because I lost track of time…

Sonic Mania

Angry Birds Trilogy – 42%

I’ve been making a lot of video’s for YouTube and it takes up a lot of my PS4’s time with editing and then transferring them to my flash drive so I turned on my PS3 and played a few games this week. Angry Birds was the only game I was able to get some trophies in so at least it wasn’t a total loss.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – 29%

Wait, how the hell did this get in there? Oh yeah, I played some multiplayer on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and the trophies went towards this game. Pretty neat how it worked out because without The Lost Legacy I wouldn’t have went back for those survival multiplayer trophies.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Uncharted 4: A Thief's EndUncharted 4: A Thief's End

And that was it for the week. A total of 41 trophies, which is a huge step up from the past few weeks when I was barely able to get any trophies. Now for the upcoming week, I’m going to continue to play Uncharted: The Lost Legacy throughout the whole week while playing Sonic Mania, I’ll try not to be late for work again, I’ll also be starting The Last Day of June at the end of the week as well as the first Episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. I’ll let you know how everything works out next week.

This Week in Trophies 04-09-2017 – 04-15-2017

As much as I hate to admit it, I didn’t get much gaming done this week. It was a tough week for me all around as covering for someone at work all week just completely drained me to the point where when I came home, I couldn’t even think about sitting down and playing video games. Yesterday was the first day in three or four days that I even turned on my PS4. I did get to turn on my PS3 this week, which is still in working condition and played a game that has been taking me forever to complete. Keep reading to see what trophies I was able to get this very hectic week.

Color Guardians – 48%

I really thought I was going to be able to breeze by this game and just play it without a problem, but boy was I wrong. This game is pretty tough and it’s going to take me a while to actually finish this game or even get the platinum trophy. I thought this would be an easy one, but clearly I was wrong. While I do find myself having fun sometimes when I play, a lot of the times I just feel frustrated as I lose over and over again.

Mass Effect: Andromeda – 77%

I really only had one day to actually play this game, which kind of sucks because I’m really enjoying my second playthrough. It’s been just about a week since I last played and I really have no idea where I even ended up saving at. I know I had done a few major things, but I’m still nowhere done exploring or doing all those extra tasks. I really want to play more, but I just have to find the time.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 38%

I told you there was an old PS3 game on here this week. This game has made many an appearance on this blog. Unfortunately though it’s usually one trophy at a time. Sometimes I just get in an Angry Birds mood where I play for a little, get my fill, and then let it sit there for months without playing.

That was it for this week. Not that many trophies especially since I didn’t really spend that much time playing anything at all. I think this upcoming week will be more of the same as work plans on being just as hectic as last week, but as always I’ll let you know how things go next week.

This Week in Trophies 08-14-2016 – 08-20-2016

While I was only able to get 18 trophies this week, it was still a pretty exciting week as I got 100% completion on two games, one which had a platinum trophy, and made some progression on a game I really didn’t see myself playing all that much this week. It was a less hectic week for me which was actually pretty nice. Anyway, here’s a look at how my gaming week went.

FEZ – 100%

I know I just started this game two weeks ago and was able to finish it. It’s a good feeling to finally have finished playing this game. If I liked it or not is another blog. My full review of FEZ will be up in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned if you want to see what I thought about it.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 37%

I really don’t know what it is about this game, but sometimes I just need something as simple as launching a bunch of birds at a bunch of different objects so I don’t have to think all that much about anything. Funny thing is that it actually makes me think about other thing since I’m not concentrating on the game. Things like work which is actually no fun. Maybe no more Angry Birds this week.

Prison Architect: PlayStation 4 Edition – 100%

Yay! Because I finished this game this week. It was a pretty awesome feat actually as I got stuck on getting the last snapshot that I needed for the final trophy and the platinum. Either way I finished the game and got the platinum making it platinum trophy #61. I’ll have my full review of this game up right after FEZ.

That was it for this week. A pretty exciting week because of the two games that I completed. Now for the big question of this upcoming week. I actually have no idea what I’m going to play. I said this last week, but I’m seriously going to try and get some more Ghostbusters in. I really want to finish that game and be done with it for good, I also need a new PS3 game for my Sunday’s and I’m kind of feeling like an RPG but I’m not sure. I’ll let you know how things go next week.

This Week in Trophies 08-07-2016 – 08-13-2016

Things for me kind of went back to normal after a string of basically weird weeks. I guess they all can’t be weird, which of course is a good thing because I’ll take normal when I can get it. Anyway, this week I continued to play some games that I’ve been playing while also finding a game to replace Mass Effect since I’ve finished all three games. I know I have to go back to the first one and get the platinum, but that will be done at a later time. Here’s how my trophy week went.

FEZ – 33%

This was the game that I decided to replace my Mass Effect binge day with. What’s now my FEZ binge day, this is one of the games that was on my list of games that needed to be completed. I figured I needed something a little lighter after tackling all three Mass Effect games and this is going to do just fine for me. While I’ve played this game before, I decided to start fresh and so far I’m enjoying getting back into this game.

Prison Architect: PlayStation 4 Edition – 70%

While I finished the story, I’m now working on cleaning up the rest of the trophies in Sandbox mode before having to go back and collect some snapshots that I missed along the way. I’m still enjoying the game and I think this time I finally was able to get my prison just how I wanted it. Now I just have to get the platinum for this game.

Ghostbusters – 28%

Playing this game is a real chore and I only played it once this week. I was able to get some trophies for it, but at this point I’m just a little over it. The story just plain sucks for this game and the action part isn’t so great either. This is turning out to be a total waste for me, but I still want to finish it. Maybe I’m missing something and it’s really a great game. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

Ghostbusters GhostbustersGhostbusters Ghostbusters

Angry Birds Trilogy – 33%

I played this game one day when I came home from work pissed off. I don’t really know why but by the time I finished playing this game I was even more pissed off than I was when I started. It’s just something about this game that puts you in the worst possible mood ever when you’re done. Anyway, at least I got a trophy out of it.

That was it for this week, next week should be more of the same as I continue to play FEZ, I might even finish it and move onto something else, Prison Architect: PlayStation 4 Edition, Ghostbusters, and probably something else that I don’t even know of yet. I was really really tempted to download Indigo Prophecy since it came out this week, but I don’t know when I’ll find the time or energy to even play at the moment, but I might just break down and get it this week. I’ll let you know how things turned out for me next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-03-2016 – 07-09-2016

Another interesting week in trophy hunting as I pretty much just stuck to two games. I was tempted to buy a bunch of games and start them thanks to the sale that Playstation was having, but decided that it probably wasn’t best to have a bunch more games on my system when I have a bunch of games piled up on the floor just waiting to be played. I did have a surprise trophy pop up this week when I played a random game from my catalogue because I was absolutely bored to tears. Anyway, here’s how my week went.

Mass Effect 3 – 93%

I finally got that last trophy that I needed from the Omega DLC. The only reason why I missed it the first time around was because I forgot to hand in one extra mission that comes with this DLC. Playing this DLC for only the second time, I got a little bit more of an understanding about it but I still thought it should have been included in the original game, not an add on DLC, and it’s still one of the worst Mass Effect DLC’s ever. As I also continued playing this game this week, I hit a few milestones in the game that I really wasn’t looking forward to as I continued my journey. For the first time in any playthrough, SPOILER ALERT, I killed Mordin. Shot him right in the back and felt like absolute crap for doing it. Playing a renegade in Mass Effect 3 does not make you feel good. I also got through the battle on the Citadel in which another beloved character bites the dust. My last three trophies for this game are in the Citadel DLC and I look forward to continuing to play and hopefully unlocking them this time around.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell – 73%

I’m so close to getting the final trophies that I need for the platinum, but like the other Saint’s Row’s game before this one, I’m seriously tired of this game. Don’t get me wrong, the Saint’s Row franchise is pretty damn great and I enjoy playing but after a while enough is enough. The game is over and now I’m stuck doing 101 different challenges. Yes most of them are complete, but they’re just annoying as hell. Not to mention that the Fly You Fools trophy totally glitched on me and did not pop even though it was completed as a challenge. Unless it randomly pops as I finish getting the rest of the trophies, I guess I’ll have to start a new game and just fly around.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 32%

This was the surprise game this week as I was extremely bored and I didn’t wat to get sucked into another 3-4 hour session of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I’ve been trying to be good and stick to the main game but it’s really hard especially since this is really the only multiplayer that I’ve ever liked. Anyway, as I scrolled through the games on my PS3, I found this one and figured why the hell not. I played through one whole seasons level, which was a hell of a lot more frustrating than the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer I was avoiding, and was able to get one trophy.

That was it for this week. It’s a decent amount of trophies for the amount of games that I’ve been playing. Lucky me, my schedule is all messed up again this upcoming week and I really have no idea when I’ll be able to game. When I do get a chance though, I plan on continuing through Mass Effect 3, although I’m not sure If I’m actually going to play through the ending or not yet, hopefully finish up Saint’s Row: Gat out of Hell, and maybe play some other random game that’s just sitting around. I’ll let you know how things went next week.

This Week in Trophies 10-18-2015 – 10-24-2015

This week had a little bit of everything. It was one of those weeks where I felt like I did a lot because I played a bunch of different games, but when I looked at my final numbers I realized that I really didn’t do all that much which is kind of a bummer. Anyway, here’s how my week went.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 31%

This game came out of no where right? This game has been sitting on my system for a while now. I started it when I first got it about two years ago, and have been randomly playing it on and off ever since. I really only play it when I’m multitasking. I know it sounds weird, because how can multitasking involve playing video games but believe me it’s totally do-able and this wasn’t the first time I’ve done it.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – 91%

I finally beat the game on hard! Finally! I spent most of my Sunday doing it, but it was well worth it and in the end the parts that I thought were going to be extremely hard actually turned out to be easy and I didn’t even die. I seriously died more on Normal which makes me think I’m ready to tackle Crushing mode.

Tales from the Borderlands – 100%

The final episode of this game finally came out and I just had to play it right when it came out to see what happened. I don’t want to really give anything away since I’ll have my full review of the episode up on Wednesday.

Tales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the Borderlands

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 71%

Once I got past level 85, the rest of them just seemed like a complete breeze for some reason. I was able to knock out level after level this week without much downtime letting me go way past level 100 and collecting a few other trophies I needed along the way. I noticed that a new patch was installed on the PS3 version of the game this week and for some reason it seems like the lives just keep piling up which helps a lot. I’m not sure if this is an error or if the game is going to continue on like this but I would really like to finish it up before this goes away.

Broken Age – 74%

I finished with this game about mid week and was really happy with the game overall. I still have to go back and clean up some random trophies that I didn’t get and I also have to go back and complete the game in under an hour. I’m really not looking forward to rushing through the game to get that under an hour trophy. While I have no problem playing the game again, I just think that this trophy kind of ruins the game as a whole. Needless to say, I will be developing a plan on how to easily complete the game in under and hour and once I develop a plan that works, I’ll be sure to let you know about it.

Broken Age

Chariot – 12%

I played this game quite a bit this week and was only able to get one trophy. While I’m still enjoying it, I’m a little stuck at the moment because the levels stopped opening which means that I have to go back and redo a lot of the levels. I don’t really mind, but I doubt I’ll be playing as much as I was.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – 15%

I started this game late in the week and I’m really still not sure what to think of it. I really am enjoying the graphics because they’re stunning and extremely real like, but I’m just not sure what I think of the actual story yet. I need to spend a little more time with the game before I form an opinion of the game as a whole.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture Everybody's Gone to the RaptureEverybody's Gone to the Rapture

That was it for this week, a total of 19 trophies. Not really a great week at all, but I will say that the 19 is better then a big fat 0. Currently I’m at the point where I’m actually counting down the days until Fallout 4 so I’m going to be trying not to start anything new especially with the end of the month coming up. There are a few things I would like to do before Fallout 4 comes out which is finish up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, finish Broken Age, finish Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and finish Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight. Other then that I’m going to stick to playing some games that are already installed on my systems and just sitting around waiting for me to play them. I’ll let you know how everything worked out for me next week.
