This Week in Trophies 06-28-2015 – 07-04-2015

Besides hitting my 5000th trophy this week, the week as a whole would have been pretty uneventful if it wasn’t for the addition and completion of Scrabble to my trophy list. While Scrabble took me a whole day to finish, I continued to play Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and I even got in a little Mass Effect 3 multiplayer like I had wanted to. Here’s how my week played out.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 54%

I finished up my first Athena run this week and started some of the DLC so I can continue to level up to 50 with Athena. I also picked up a few extra trophies here and there for doing those specific type of things. This week I plan to continue on through the rest of the game, hopefully finishing up a couple of DLC trophies as well as getting Athena to level 50 so I can start on another playthrough.

Scrabble – 100%

I got this game on Tuesday and finished it on Wednesday which isn’t really saying much, but it was my first board game type game on the PS4. I’ll have my full review up of the game sometime this week.

And that was it. It was a pretty blah week and it wasn’t even because I spent a lot of time playing Mass Effect. To tell the truth I only got in a couple of hours of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer and the rest of my gaming time was spent on Scrabble and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. For this upcoming week I’ll continue to work on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel since I’m still really enjoying it on the PS4. I might throw in a new game some time this week, but if I do it will be a small one.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 360 No Scope

This is the type of trophy that I really enjoy getting. It’s a rare trophy that is super easy to get and really just requires you to be patient. This week’s trophy is coming to you via Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. While many people will try to get this trophy right away, I’m going to tell you now that you will fail multiple times and getting this trophy will become frustrating. Here’s how to get this trophy quickly and efficiently.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 360 No Scope
While airborne, spun 360 degrees then got a kill with a Sniper Rifle without using the scope – Bronze
TIP: For this trophy, I’m going to suggest waiting until you are at least level 10 or over so that you can either purchase, loot, or use a golden key to acquire a high powered Sniper Rifle. Once you do this you want to head to a low leveled area on your map like Serenity’s Waste. You’ll find some Kraggons there that are extremely low leveled so the area is perfect. Once you spot a group of Kraggons approach them so that they start attacking you. Jump in the air with your sniper rifle equipped and boost yourself up. Spin around 360 degrees, which means that you’ll end where you start, and then shoot one of the Kraggons. You’ll have to shoot from the hip since if you use the zoom you’ll use the scope and then you won’t get the trophy. At a higher level, it should be one shot one kill, but if it doesn’t happen right away keep doing this until the trophy pops. Remember, the higher the level you are and the higher the level your Sniper Rifle is the easier it is to kill your enemy. Check out the video below to see how I did it.

Have anything additional to add to my tip? Let me know in the comments section below and I’ll add it in and give you credit. Need help with a specific trophy? I’m always looking for my next weeks tip so throw out some suggestions in the comments section. If I have the trophy I’ll post a tip on how to get it.

This Week in Trophies 06-21-2015 – 06-27-2015

This was one of those strange weeks where I feel like I didn’t get enough gaming time in to the point where my mind is like “GAMES, GAMES, GAMES” every five seconds while I’m trying to get other stuff done, but I did rack up a decent amount of trophies. With the release of the newest Tales from the Borderlands episode, this was basically a Borderlands week for me. Here’s my breakdown of trophies for the week.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 31%

I continued to play the Pre-Sequel this week, and I feel like even though I liked it on the PS3 I didn’t give it much of a chance. I only played through the game once before tossing it aside, but I feel like with the PS4 version I might actually attempt the platinum. I’m almost done with my first story playthrough and I plan on playing the DLC after the main missions of the game. I’ll probably get to the DLC this week and then I plan to start my True Vault Hunter game with Athena.

Tales from the Borderlands – 65%

I was really eager to play this game on Tuesday and it was one of those times where I was constantly checking the PSN store to see if it was available to download. I have to say that this was probably the best episode in the series so far and I’ll have my review of it up by the end of the week.

That was it for trophies for the week. I did continue to play Sparkle 2 even though I didn’t get any trophies for it and I would have been playing The Elder Scrolls Online if I still wasn’t waiting for that damn patch to download. This is partially my fault since I didn’t feel like keeping my system on to complete the download and it’s only really been downloading when I have my system on, but it’s also part of the games problem because a patch shouldn’t be over 15GB. Anyway for this upcoming week I plan to continue my Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel journey and play Sparkle 2. I’ve also had this strange need to play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I really don’t know why and I’m not even sure if the servers are still active, but I might give it a try this week.

This Week in Trophies 06-14-2015 – 06-20-2015

While I’m continuing to play The Elder Scrolls Online every once in a while, I kind of got tired waiting to log in all the time and decided to start a not so new game this week for those times when I don’t feel like waiting to log in, which in most cases I really don’t feel like waiting around to play a game so I just don’t play. The start of a new game usually means a bunch of trophies, so this week was ok when it came to trophies. It wasn’t great, but here’s how my week played out.

The Elder Scrolls Online – 5%

I was able to get one random trophy this week along with a story mission trophy. While I’m progressing in the game it just seems like it’s taking a really long time and I always get side tracked when I enter a new area, probably because there are a bunch of side missions that I always get stuck doing. Anyway, I’m still enjoying my time doing random stuff, but I just haven’t been playing all that much.

The Elder Scrolls Online The Elder Scrolls Online

Sparkle 2 – 61%

I finished up my hard playthrough this week and I’m currently working on my nightmare playthrough before I start the survival and challenge modes. Even though this is the third time I’m playing this game, I’m really enjoying it and I look forward to finishing it so that I can start Sparkle Unleashed on the PS4.

Rollers of the Realm – 70%

I started playing this game again this week because I recently seen that a patch downloaded for this game. Hoping that this patch cleared up some of the trophy issues that I was having, I was glad to see that after a few frustrating rounds of arena I was able to get a trophy that I should have gotten a long time ago. Since this game and it’s trophies are now functioning properly I’ll continue to play and hopefully be able to get the 100%.

Rollers of the Realm Rollers of the Realm

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 12%

I started this because it was sitting on my PS4 taking up space, plus I needed something new to play while I played The Elder Scrolls Online. Sometimes it’s just like that where you can’t strictly play just one game. Besides, I always like getting back into Borderlands and in this game I really enjoy playing as Athena because let’s face it, her shield is just badass.

So for this upcoming week I will continue to make my way through Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I’m not really sure if I’ll be getting the platinum for this game since I don’t even have the platinum for this on the PS3, but you never know. I’ll also be continuing my journey through The Elder Scrolls Online while playing Sparkle 2 and Rollers of the Realm in between.
