Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – How do you beat level 50 in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

Submitted by Anonymous How do you beat level 50 in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

First let’s take a look at what level 50 is. Level 50 is a beat the clock level that you need a score of at least 80,000 points to pass. These beat the clock ones look intimidating, but I’m going to tell you that they actually aren’t. For this particular level you have 90 seconds and there are a bunch of obstacles standing in your way. Your first move when attempting this level is to see what the board actually looks likes. You’re 90 seconds starts after you make the first move so make your first move wisely. After that when it comes to the beat the clock rounds, speed is important. Make move after move as quickly as you can building up score multipliers and bonus’s. This is why you should know the general layout of the board. Once you know this you’ll be one step ahead of yourself so when you make one move you can go and make the other without thinking basically. Remember to keep up the momentum and just play without even looking at the clock. Do this and level 50 should be as easy as level 1.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – What is the easiest way to get 500 stars in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

Submitted by Anonymous What is the easiest way to get 500 stars in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

Here’s the thing, the trophy for getting 500 stars in this game is pretty rare, ultra rare even, so the easiest answer to this is that there is no easy way to get this trophy because if there was then everyone would have it. I’m sure that wasn’t the answer that you were looking for so I’m going to give you a few tips to make getting 500 stars a little bit easier then what it is.

This is the kind of trophy that is going to require a grind and a lot of time. My suggestion is that you don’t have to play all the levels in the game. If you get three stars on every level you’ll only have to play at least 167 levels. What I did was I just played normally until I reached about level 183, after that I went back and started replaying the levels that I didn’t get three stars on and I played them until I was able to get 3 stars or even 2 because anything other than 1 helps. You will get frustrated doing this and getting the 3 stars sometimes is just dumb luck. When you get frustrated put down the game or just go to a different level. Before you know it you’ll have the 500 stars that you’re looking for.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – How do you beat level 71 in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

Submitted by Anonymous How do you beat level 71 in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight?

In order to beat level 71 in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight, you have 30 moves to eliminate 50 blue gems and 50 red gems. The way the board is setup can be frustrating, but this is something that can be done without the use of paid for or earned power-ups. Why use your well-deserved earned power-ups if you don’t need to. Anyway, while there is no step by step way that I can provide for you to beat this level, each level is generated randomly so it’s impossible to have a step by step for this question, I would suggest making as many combos as possible. Match 4, 5, or 6 of the same color to unlock different combo power-ups that will help you along the way. When you do this, it doesn’t have to be for the red or blue gems either. If you can match up 4, 5, or 6 green ones go ahead because this will help you out in the long run. I would even suggest making combo power-ups next to each other if possible so that you can combine them and clear off more of the board. Using combo power-ups will help eliminate some of the red and blue gems that are off in the corner and can’t be matched or just random red or blue gems that can’t be matched with each other.

Remember that you only have 30 moves so make sure that you are also matching up red and blue gems in between making combos just to help lower the overall number you need to eliminate. I think the hardest part with these levels where you have to eliminate a certain gem is that people only concentrate on that gem, I’m also guilty of this, and you’re not watching the rest of the board to find chances to make combos. As long as you watch the board and plan your moves accordingly you should be able to walk away from this level with 3 stars.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight Review (PS3)

By now you know that I’m a complete sucker for free games. Yes, they aren’t actually free because they have the now popular micro-transactions, but you get my point. Unlike most people I don’t actually spend any money on these games making them harder to complete and finish, but I’m glad to say that after two whole months of playing I finally finished this game. Was it worth the download? Keep reading to find out.

There really isn’t a story to this game. It’s a Bejeweled / Candy Crush type game that was ported from mobile onto the PS3 and PS4. If you know the movie Frozen, then it kind of follows the plot of that but not by story but by the pictures that change in the background during each level. If you’re looking for something with a story this isn’t it, so just let it go. (Cheesy pun that should have you rolling on the floor with laughter. No? I don’t even know why I try.) You’ll get five lives at a time and you’ll only lose a life when you don’t complete the goal of the level. Once that happens your life will regenerate after 30 minutes. There are 193 levels to complete, so there are a lot of things to do and each level has a rating system so you’ll get 1-3 stars for each of them.

BOO! After a while the whole daily reward thing just stopped working because of the “Disney Servers.” You would think that Disney would have better servers, so no servers meant no daily reward meaning that if you wanted special items you had to either complete goals in the game or buy them.

Yay…Kinda… Yes, I know a Boo and then Yay but that’s just how it goes. Yay because after a while the lives for this game never got lost even when you failed the level. Towards the end I would sometimes play for hours on the same life even though I would lose over and over again. I have no idea how this system works and I’m really not complaining. I will mention though that sometimes losing a level does take a life, but most of the time it doesn’t so the game is fickle.

At first this game is fun to play, and then you get to just about level 95 and you want it to be over. I have to say that after I got the last trophy, which doesn’t require you to actually complete the whole game, I just stopped playing and deleted it from my system because I was done. It’s basically level after level of the same thing. Yes, the challenges are different but there are times when the challenges are the same for 5 or more levels in a row. Not only was this boring, but sometimes just frustrating. Unlike other similar games, with this game, the board that you’re given doesn’t change unless you shut the game off and restart it. If you fail a level and play it again you’ll get the same board that you failed on. Nothing was really randomized and I just felt that was lazy.

While the game did stall on me once, that was about it when it came to bugs and glitches. Everything else worked fine and the game was simple enough to play. There are tutorials throughout the game to help you along the way and it follows the pattern of any match game. Make a match of 3 or more and you’re good to go.

The graphics weren’t bad for this simple game, but I wish some more time had went into the actual characters. Some of the characters looked a little off and you think with something that was created with the Disney name would have had better looking characters to resemble the characters in the film a little better, but this is a free game so I guess not. I will say that the backgrounds were detailed and enjoyable to look at while playing.

Now for the trophies. There are a total of 17 trophies for this game and they really just require you to play the game. Do just about everything possible in the game and you’ll get them. I’m going to be honest though. Do not download this game just for the trophies. They are not easy to get and you’ll spend hours, months, or maybe even money if you’re prone to that trying to get them. The four silver trophies for this game and 13 bronze are just not worth it.

While there is multiplayer for this game, it’s good old fashioned co-op. So bribe a friend to play with you as you have to play at least 50 games, or you can just hook up your spare controller and let your favorite furry friend sit next to it while you play. I want to say a big thank you to my very own furry friend who helped me out getting the co-op done. Little buddy, thank you. Thank you for sitting there in front of the controller and letting me beat you every time. I’ll get you that box of flavor bones you like so much as a reward. When playing the co-op, both players will receive a board of things to match and whoever makes the most matches in each two minute round gets to throw the most snowballs and wins the game.

Overall I give this game a 2 out of 5

What’s Great:
+ A lot of levels means a lot of things to do.
+ Unlimited lives…sometimes

What’s Not So Great:
Disney Servers are constantly down meaning no daily rewards which then means if you want special items you have to purchase them. Funny how the servers aren’t down for that.
Game gets really boring really fast. Doing the same thing over and over again is just not fun.
Some levels just feel unbeatable at times and you’ll spend hours if not days trying to beat them, but there’s a catch. If you buy some power-ups you’ll beat the level.
MICRO-TRANSACTIONS!

If you’re a Bejeweled or Candy Crush fan, I really wouldn’t recommend this game. Yes, it’s similar to both but it’s just not fun. If you want to give it a try because it’s free go ahead, but don’t say I didn’t warn you. If you have kids who love Frozen and you want to get this for them, I would say go ahead (they would have a better time playing a Lego game), but just make sure you don’t have your credit card stored on the PSN store because you might just get a huge bill since it’s easy to accidently click on one of those micro-transactions.

This Week in Trophies 12-13-2015 – 12-19-2015

This actually wasn’t a bad week for me. I got in a decent amount of game time, completed a game, caught up on Minecraft: Story Mode in time for the next episode, and played another episode of Life is Strange. Of course I played Fallout 4 as well, I mean that should be a given at this point, and a little more of GTA: San Andreas. Here’s a breakdown of every trophy that I got this week.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 100%

I finally did it! After two months and three weeks, I finally got this game at 100%. I couldn’t be happier that I’m finally done with this game. My game reviews are a little backed up at the moment with everything that I’ve been playing, but you’ll be seeing this review very soon and I’ll give you a breakdown on the whole game.

Life is Strange – 36%

I played through the second episode this week and I have to say that I am loving this game. I’ll have my review up soon, but this has seriously been one of the best episodic games that I’ve played this year. This might even take the number one spot away from Tales from the Borderlands at this point, but we’ll see.

Life is Strange Life is StrangeLife is Strange Life is StrangeLife is Strange Life is StrangeLife is Strange Life is StrangeLife is Strange Life is StrangeLife is Strange Life is Strange

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – 17%

I’m having a really great time getting back into this game. I don’t even think I got as far as I am now when I was originally playing on the PS2. It feels good to revisit a game that feels familiar but new at the same time.

Minecraft: Story Mode – 61%

After not wanting to play because the second episode was just bad, I forced myself to play through the third episode. The third episode was…ugh. At this point I don’t even know where this game is going, but I’m just glad all the missable trophies are over and done with so I won’t have to do another playthrough.

Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story ModeMinecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story ModeMinecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story ModeMinecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story Mode

Fallout 4 – 72%

I continued on my journey through Fallout 4 as I try to complete some of the other trophies before starting my new game. I only got one trophy this week, but I’m really really close to getting to level 50 and I expect to do so the next time I play. I also should pick up a couple more the next time I play and my second playthrough is actually right around the corner.

Fallout 4

Pure Hold’em – 47%

While I’ve basically given up on this game, I had a friend who was willing to help me out with a trophy so I said why the hell not. I guess I’ll continue to play this game when the mood strikes me, but other than that I’m kind of done at the moment.

Pure Hold'em

And that was it for this week. It was a pretty decent week and I’m hoping next week to be the same. I know the holidays are coming up, but I’m thinking I can still get through another episode of Life is Strange as well as the new Minecraft: Story Mode episode. I’ll also be continuing to play Fallout 4, and I might or might not start a new game this week. I hate starting new games so close to the end of the month, but sometimes I can’t help myself. I’ll let you know how things turned out next week, and I hope everyone has a very happy and safe holiday!

This Week in Trophies 11-29-2015 – 12-5-2015

There were a bunch of different trophies this week from a bunch of different games including a brand new platinum trophy. Even though I still spent most of my time playing Fallout 4, I did have a little extra time to devote to gaming this week so I kind of spent that extra time playing some other games. Here’s a breakdown of my gaming week.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – 100%

I started out my week just right with this platinum trophy. I spent the majority of one day just powering through chapter after chapter of this game on crushing. In the end, the parts that I thought were going to be difficult actually weren’t and I was happy just to get this game finished with. I’ll have my full review of the game up on Wednesday.

Fallout 4 – 70%

I finished my very first playthrough of Fallout 4 this week. As much as I really liked the game and the story attached to it, especially the twist, I thought the ending was a little…underwhelming. At the moment I’m going back and collecting some trophies that I didn’t get before starting a new playthrough that will hopefully get me the platinum.

Fallout 4 Fallout 4Fallout 4 Fallout 4Fallout 4 Fallout 4Fallout 4

Pure Hold’em – 42%

I am really really trying with this game, and don’t get me wrong, it’s a good game. It’s just that the servers are basically dead. It’s a struggle to get into any kind of tournament and I’m really tired of playing with the AI over and over again. It’s just getting a little boring.

Pure Hold'em

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – 10%

I picked this game up when it was released on Tuesday for the PS3, thanks Playstation for not mentioning that it would be released for the PS4 on Saturday! Anyway, I picked up this game because I’ve been longing to play some old school GTA ever since I got rid of my PS2 a while back. I could have gotten the PS2 classic version of this, but didn’t because of lack of trophy support. With trophy support added I knew it was the perfect time to get back into GTA. I’m looking forward to playing III and Vice City on the PS4.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 90%
I am almost done with this game! I’m so close too. I only need another 24 stars to reach the 500 stars required for the final trophy. I have to tell you though, this game is being a real bitch when it comes to getting those final stars. I’m going to power through it though and will hopefully be able to finish sometime this upcoming week.

Minecraft: Story Mode – 40%

I had some free time and was eager to play the next episode of this game since I really enjoyed the first one, and then almost immediately regretted it. The second episode was just…I don’t’ want to give too much away here but I’ll have my review of the second episode up sometime after my review of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story ModeMinecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story ModeMinecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story Mode

And that was it for this week. A pretty active week for trophies and that platinum made me one step closer to my year end goal. I will say this though, at the moment I’m a little burnt out on Uncharted. Playing the three times in a row like that was just crazy even though it took me a little over two months to complete. I had planned on going back to finish up Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but I’m going to wait until sometime next year to do that. As for this upcoming week, I’m going to continue working on Fallout 4, try really hard to finish up Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight, continue playing GTA: San Andreas, and I might just start an episode of Life is Strange since I picked up the season pass for $10.00 this week. I’ll let you know how everything goes next week.

This Week in Trophies 10-25-2015 – 10-31-2015

What an embarrassing week for trophies. This is seriously the worst week I’ve ever had trophy wise. How do you even talk about 3 trophies?!? I even got one of them by mistake. Keep reading and I’ll tell you about my mistake trophy.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 80%

One more trophy down this week and only two more to go for the 100% completion. I only need to finish all of the levels to unlock all of the multiplayer characters and get 500 stars. Once that’s done I’m done with the game and can finally move onto something else.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – 18%

This is where my mistake trophy came in. While playing I had to put down my controller to answer a call and boom, five minutes later I get a trophy for being inactive during the game. Amazing. I totally forgot that this was one of the trophies and was surprised when it popped. Nevertheless, I’m still making my way through this game. For some reason it’s taking me a while, I don’t know if it’s due to my lack of gaming time or my lack of interest in the game. I’m still waiting for the story to pick up because beautiful life like graphics can only go so far. Right now I’m just following lights around this town and I understand what the game is doing, but something has to happen soon. Something exciting, something that makes me want to continue playing and be unable to put down my controller.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture Everybody's Gone to the Rapture

That’s it for this week and I kind of want to put this week behind me and just move on from this awful showing of trophies. For the upcoming week, I’m going to try really really hard to finish Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. I’m playing on crushing and while it really isn’t all that difficult as I thought it would be, I think that playing three times in a row has really taken its toll on me and I just want to be done with this game for good. I’m even rethinking getting the Uncharted Collection during the holiday time on sale. Other then that, I’m going to continue working on Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight, try to finish Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and go back and clean up some trophies for Broken Age. With only 10 days to go until Fallout 4, here’s hoping I can be finished with these games.

This Week in Trophies 10-18-2015 – 10-24-2015

This week had a little bit of everything. It was one of those weeks where I felt like I did a lot because I played a bunch of different games, but when I looked at my final numbers I realized that I really didn’t do all that much which is kind of a bummer. Anyway, here’s how my week went.

Angry Birds Trilogy – 31%

This game came out of no where right? This game has been sitting on my system for a while now. I started it when I first got it about two years ago, and have been randomly playing it on and off ever since. I really only play it when I’m multitasking. I know it sounds weird, because how can multitasking involve playing video games but believe me it’s totally do-able and this wasn’t the first time I’ve done it.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – 91%

I finally beat the game on hard! Finally! I spent most of my Sunday doing it, but it was well worth it and in the end the parts that I thought were going to be extremely hard actually turned out to be easy and I didn’t even die. I seriously died more on Normal which makes me think I’m ready to tackle Crushing mode.

Tales from the Borderlands – 100%

The final episode of this game finally came out and I just had to play it right when it came out to see what happened. I don’t want to really give anything away since I’ll have my full review of the episode up on Wednesday.

Tales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the BorderlandsTales from the Borderlands Tales from the Borderlands

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 71%

Once I got past level 85, the rest of them just seemed like a complete breeze for some reason. I was able to knock out level after level this week without much downtime letting me go way past level 100 and collecting a few other trophies I needed along the way. I noticed that a new patch was installed on the PS3 version of the game this week and for some reason it seems like the lives just keep piling up which helps a lot. I’m not sure if this is an error or if the game is going to continue on like this but I would really like to finish it up before this goes away.

Broken Age – 74%

I finished with this game about mid week and was really happy with the game overall. I still have to go back and clean up some random trophies that I didn’t get and I also have to go back and complete the game in under an hour. I’m really not looking forward to rushing through the game to get that under an hour trophy. While I have no problem playing the game again, I just think that this trophy kind of ruins the game as a whole. Needless to say, I will be developing a plan on how to easily complete the game in under and hour and once I develop a plan that works, I’ll be sure to let you know about it.

Broken Age

Chariot – 12%

I played this game quite a bit this week and was only able to get one trophy. While I’m still enjoying it, I’m a little stuck at the moment because the levels stopped opening which means that I have to go back and redo a lot of the levels. I don’t really mind, but I doubt I’ll be playing as much as I was.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – 15%

I started this game late in the week and I’m really still not sure what to think of it. I really am enjoying the graphics because they’re stunning and extremely real like, but I’m just not sure what I think of the actual story yet. I need to spend a little more time with the game before I form an opinion of the game as a whole.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture Everybody's Gone to the RaptureEverybody's Gone to the Rapture

That was it for this week, a total of 19 trophies. Not really a great week at all, but I will say that the 19 is better then a big fat 0. Currently I’m at the point where I’m actually counting down the days until Fallout 4 so I’m going to be trying not to start anything new especially with the end of the month coming up. There are a few things I would like to do before Fallout 4 comes out which is finish up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, finish Broken Age, finish Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and finish Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight. Other then that I’m going to stick to playing some games that are already installed on my systems and just sitting around waiting for me to play them. I’ll let you know how everything worked out for me next week.

This Week in Trophies 10-11-2015 – 10-17-2015

After not really being sure if I would find much time to game this week, it turned out that I had a little more time then I expected, due to some things that were just out of my control, and I ended up having a decent week. With an ending total of 39 trophies for the week, here’s what I was able to get.

Fallout 3 – 30%

I ended my first full playthrough of Fallout 3 this week with the death of my character that I spent the past couple of months playing. Although I didn’t mind that my character died in the end, I just thought that after a game like that the ending was a little underwhelming. I was just expecting a little more and was a little disappointed by the lack of a satisfying ending. While I’ll be putting this game back on the shelf for a little while, that doesn’t mean that I’m done with it. I can definitely see myself going back to play again at a later date.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 47%

I ended up spending way too much time on this game this week, but once I beat that one level that I was stuck on the levels just seemed to progress naturally. It’s not like I mind because I got a decent amount of trophies out of the game this week and I enjoy the Bejeweled type vibe the game as a whole has. I am once again stuck on a level, damn you level 85, but I’ll continue to play when I don’t have a lot of time to game and just want to play something quick.

Chariot – 11%

This game was pretty much unexpected this week since I really had no intention of playing it any time soon. With a delay of sorts in my schedule, I was stuck staring at my PS3 and this game just happened to be at the top of my game folder so I said what the hell and decided to start it. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually liked this game, a lot. I’ve already spent a bunch of time playing and expect to spend a bunch more playing. I’m really enjoying the Spelunky type feel to the game along with the small story that goes with it.

Broken Age – 65%

I spent one of my days off playing this game this week and was able to pick up a hell of a lot of trophies. I progressed through the story, completing act 2 and am currently working on finishing up the game. I did not see that twist in the story coming and am really impressed with the story as a whole. There are twists and turns everywhere and I’m eager to see how it ends.

That’s it for this week. After thinking I would barely get a couple of trophies, I ended up getting 39. Not bad as it brings me closer to my year end goal of 6,000. Now for the upcoming week, I plan on replacing Fallout 3 as my Sunday game with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune so that I can power through the rest of my Hard playthrough before starting my Crushing playthrough. I kind of put that game to the side in the past couple of weeks, but I’m really eager to finish it up and put it on the shelf for good. I also plan on finishing up Tales from the Borderlands this week with the release of Episode 5 on Tuesday. I’m super eager to see how this ends and am really looking forward to getting my platinum for the game as well. Other than that I’ll probably play a little bit of Chariot here and there as well as finish up Broken Age. If I can, I plan to start a new game this week. I’m probably going to start Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture since I picked it up this week while it was on sale. I’ll let you know how everything went next week.

This Week in Trophies 09-27-2015 – 10-03-2015

A pretty exciting trophy week for me as I not only got another platinum trophy, but I was able to get it in my quickest time ever. It took me a little over 7 hours to get my Teslagrad platinum making it beat out my old record of 1 day 6 hours for Sound Shapes. Teslagrad wasn’t the only game that I played this week, so here’s how my whole week played out.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight – 33%

I’m not really playing this game all that much since you only get 5 lives at a time and I refuse to pay for anything, but I’ll take what I can get trophy wise. Currently I’ve been stuck on level 53 for the past three days so we’ll see how long it’s going to take for me to get bored with this game and toss it to the side.

Fallout 3 – 26%

A six percent jump this week as I completed a couple of more side quests and took down the Behemoths scattered around the Wastelands. I’m really trying to get a few more trophies before going on with the final mission and finishing up the game. I’m not really in a rush, but I do want to be done with this game in time for Fallout 4.

Teslagrad – 100%

I started this game on one of my days off this week and basically spent the whole day playing. I’ll have my full review of this game up on Wednesday, and at least I was able to get another platinum and another 100% so I didn’t feel like I wasted my day off.

That was it for this week. I feel like I would have gotten more trophies if I didn’t spend my free time playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I was feeling a little nostalgic this week and decided to get back into the only game that I find the multiplayer enjoyable. Now for this upcoming week I’m going to continue working on Fallout 3 and Frozen Free Fall. I’ll hopefully finish up my Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Hard playthrough before starting Crushing and I might start a new PS4 game. It all depends on how much free time I have and if I can give up playing Mass Effect 3.
