This Week in Trophies 03-11-2018 – 03-17-2018

This was actually a good week for trophies. It started with last Sunday when I racked up a bunch of trophies in an older game and then continued throughout the week. It wasn’t my best week, but seeing as how the past couple of weeks have been absolute crap, this was definitely a good week. Keep reading to see what trophies I was able to get.

Labyrinth Legends – 33%

I know you’re thinking, “what the hell is this game doing on here,” but after writing about this for my I Never Finished blog I decided to go back and play this game. In doing so, I discovered that I really like this game, until it completely crashed my PS3. Anyway, I was able to get 4 new trophies for this game in one sitting, which isn’t a bad thing and it helped me decide that I would use some of my Sunday’s to catch up on some PS3 games that need to be played and finished. We’ll see how long this lasts for.

BioShock – 51%

I finally finished this game this week. It seems like it took me forever to complete this game this time around, but I was also filming so that could have been the problem. Anyway, I was glad to finally be able to complete this game, although the last part of this game completely glitched and I had to fight Atlas twice. It wasn’t really that hard, but still I hate that this game had so many bugs and glitches. On the plus side I did get to finally play the DLC for this game which I didn’t when I played the PS3 version because I didn’t buy it.

And that was it for this week, a total of 20 trophies. This is really rare since I never get this may trophies in a week as of late. Anyway, for the upcoming week I have no idea what I’m playing. I’ll probably get some Labyrinth Legends in today and the rest of the week is up in the air. I finished BioShock but I’m waiting for Far Cry 5 to come out to start a new game. This probably means I’ll be playing some games that need to be finished or at least trying to. Anyway, I’ll let you know how everything turns out next week.

I Never Finished…Labyrinth Legends…Because

Labyrinth Legends

This was the time where I had stopped downloading every single PS+ game because it was free and actually looked at the game I was downloading. I made sure that I wanted to play it before downloading it and adding yet another unfinished game onto my list. This was basically because I wanted to prove a point, but that’s not for here. Anyway, I genuinely thought I was going to enjoy this game and so I downloaded it. Unfortunately, it ended up here which means I never finished it.

Labyrinth Legends is about your little nameless character who goes on a mission to find his soon to be bride after she’s kidnaped on your wedding day by an evil mage. Not cool bro…not cool. Anyway, in this puzzle type dungeon crawler, you’ll make your way through level after level trying to find your soon to be wife. Will you find her and live happily ever after? I don’t know because I never finished it.

This simple looking game with its simple looking story is not simple. It’s actually really difficult and had me completely fooled after playing the tutorial. The tutorial makes this game look easy, makes it look like you can complete the whole trophy list within a couple of hours if you really tried, but it’s not. This game is actually really hard and after a few levels of playing and dying over and over again, I just gave up. Now this is embarrassing to say because no one ever wants to admit that their parents are better gamers than they are, but in this one instance, this one instance (!) my dad actually got further in this game than I did. That really bugs me. You’ll see my dad’s name pop up in a few of my blogs from time to time as he tends to stick to simpler games and helps me out with multiplayer stuff time to time and you’ll see me thank LMD, but this time he was better than me.

I hate these games where there are only 10 trophies. Not because there could be more. Games could always have 10 trophies, but it’s the hard games with 10 trophies that make even having only 2 trophies look like you weren’t even trying. That’s right, I was only able to get two trophies out of this game. One for completing the tutorial and one for collecting an item that didn’t have a head. The trophies for this game are the typical ones for these types of games and have you doing random stuff, completing the game, getting all the stars for the levels, and that sort of thing.

Probability of this game getting played again…5 out of 5.

Why is the probability of playing this game again so high? Well it’s still on my PS3 and I should really get to these games because I mean they’re just sitting there. Who am I kidding? I hate that my dad was better than me at this game and I want to finish it since he never did he just got a lot further than me. So will I sacrifice a weekend of not playing something new to finish this game? The answer is yes because unfortunately, one of the things that I learned from my dad was to be super competitive.

Now it’s your turn. Love this game? Hate this game? Know someone who’s better than you and just can’t stand it? Let me know down in the comments section below. Now for next week, a game that I waited ages to play. There were two reasons that I waited so long. One was that this game was full of bugs and glitches and I just wasn’t having it and the second was that I thought that Dragon Age was the superior of the two games. I still think that Dragon Age is superior, but I still decided to give this game a go after I seen this trophy list on my “friends” profile and saw that she was just missing trophies for stupid things and refused to go back to get them. I was like what the hell, I could do that, so I tried to but failed. Next week I’ll let you know why I never finished The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
