It was pretty damn clear that I was never going to become the rock goddess that I always thought I would be and playing Rock Smith 2014 proved that, you can read why I never finished that game here, so it was onto the next game. The next game just happened to be a free pinball game that I got thanks to PS+. There were just a few tables to play at first and then the dreaded DLC came along. Keep reading to see why I never finished Pinball Arcade.
Pinball Arcade is just that. It’s a pinball arcade filled with old pinball machines recreated and put on the PS3 for you to enjoy for the life of the PS3. One of the great things this game does is take really old, really popular, and sometimes really obsolete pinball machines and digitalizes them so that you can enjoy them once more without having to go and look for them at some random place that still has pinball machines.
I really did enjoy this game and the 4 original pinball machines that came with this game. They were new to me since I had never played them before and I thought it was a cool game because it actually felt like I was playing pinball. I remember being able to go to a local arcade and play actual pinball machines so this was just great for me. What stopped me from playing though was the tremendous amount of costly DLC that released new pinball machines. I could have finished the main set of games and be done since I had come so far, but I just gave up after a while as some objectives became frustrating and it made the game not fun to play anymore.
As you can see from the picture above, I was able to get a total of 6 of the 12 base trophies, 96 trophies all together if you count the many seasons of DLC that came out. I’m happy with the trophies that I got. I pretty much did the standard tour of trophies and am just missing some goal orientated trophies that are ranked very rare to ultra rare.
Probability of this game getting played again…3 out of 5.
While I’m happy with my B ranking in this game, that doesn’t mean that I don’t go back from time to time just to play this game for fun. If during that time I get some trophies, then I get some trophies. If not, then I just play for fun. The one thing I do refuse to do with this game though is buy all the DLC that is associated with it as I feel that it’s priced way to high even if some of the pinball machines that they have are some of my all time favorite.
Now it’s your turn. Did you love this game? Hate it? Feel like you were trapped by PS+ since you were only able to get the first 4 tables and nothing more? Let me know down in the comments section below and for next week, sadly anther Call of Duty game that I never finished. Still on my Call of Duty high from playing Ghosts, I decided to go and buy Black Ops 2. As you probably already guessed, I never finished this game so I’ll let you know why next week.
