This Week in Trophies 11-05-2017 – 11-11-2017

Trophy wise this was a pretty crazy week as I was able to get one platinum trophy, it could have been two, but I didn’t find the time, finished two games, started a new game, and just overall had a pretty busy trophy week. Anyway, let’s get into what trophies I was able to get for this week.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – 100%

This was my biggest accomplishment this week as I was finally able to get the platinum trophy after three weeks of playing this game. I can’t believe I played for three weeks and it sure as hell didn’t feel like I played that long. Anyway, my review for this game will be coming out in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned for that.

Shoppe Keep – 73%

This game still isn’t fixed and keeps crashing every so often at random times so playing it is tedious. Since I’m at the point of the game where you can set the day up and basically walk away, I play when I’m doing other things and don’t mind stopping to take on barbarians every so often. I will be happy when they patch this game though and fix the crash error.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins – 2%

I was only able to get one day of playtime with this game, but I completely fell in love with it and can’t wait until I can get into this game a little more. The year long break of Assassin’s Creed games was well worth it as Origins offers a new story and some amazing game play. I’m not that far into the game yet, but I’m really excited to see where it goes.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 82%

I finally beat this game this week and the only thing I have to do is finish up with some collectibles and play on the hardest difficulty. This I know is going to be a chore, but I’m going to push myself through it and play this game a second time just because I really want to be done with this game and not have it hanging on my trophy list as unfinished.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 42%

After playing this game months ago, I finally finished all five acts with a friend of mine and couldn’t be more happier to finally be able to explore bounties and rifts. I know this game is going to take a while to complete and I’m fine with that because I’m just going to take my time and play casually.

And that was it for the week. A decent week especially because of the platinum trophy. Next week is going to be crazy because I’ll be playing and streaming Assassin’s Creed: Origins, trying to finish up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, try to play the newest episode of Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 and the final episode of Guardians of the Galaxy, get some Diablo III: Reaper of Souls time in there, and play 2 new games. It’s going to be crazy and I’ll let you know next week if I was able to pull it off.

Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Why does Shoppe Keep keep crashing all of a sudden on the PS4?

Submitted by Anonymous Why does Shoppe Keep keep crashing all of a sudden on the PS4?

So a little back history on this game before I actually answer the question, Shoppe Keep was released for the PlayStation 4 on September 19, 2017 by Strange Fire Studios. This game basically lets you live out your Skyrim dream of running Belethors General Goods, where everything is for sale.

At first this game ran perfectly, like a game actually should, and there was nothing wrong with it. The only thing that was really wrong with it, if you wanted to be picky, was the screen size which could not be adjusted and half of it was cut off on the TV. So, when a couple weeks ago my PlayStation 4 notified me that it was downloading a patch for Shoppe Keep I was generally surprised. This game was running smoothly and had no major problems, so there didn’t really seem like a reason to patch the game unless of course they were going to fix the screen size problem. Anyway, when the patch was finally done downloading and installed there was no adjustment to the screen size and everything was basically the same except for the fact that the game constantly crashes now. Not only does the game constantly crash at random times but there is also a ton of lag while playing this game now. Instead of fixing the screen size this patch created problems for this game that had no problems at all.

So basically, the answer to your question is that this game is constantly crashing now because of the new patch. Hopefully Strange Fire Studios will see this and eventually put out another patch to fix this and fix the screen size. I have to say that ever since this patch I’ve been playing the game a lot less because I am tired of losing my data every time this game wants to crash which is randomly. I’m also tired of having to save so much that my saves start becoming corrupted and I have to create a new save every so often.

Have a video game question that you want answered? Go ahead and leave your question in the comment section below and I’ll make sure to add your name into the blog that features your question. If you prefer to be anonymous, then go ahead and type your question into the search box. I’ll be able to see it and maybe one day you’ll be able to see it on this blog.

This Week in Trophies 10-01-2017 – 10-07-2017

This week was an interesting one as at some points I had a lot of time for gaming and at other times I had no time for gaming. This is the time of the year when I’m really big into watching current TV shows, unlike the summer, and have to try and find some balance with my time. A lot of the time this means that my gaming gets cut short, but I feel like I accomplished a lot this week since I did get my 81st platinum trophy. Keep reading to see how my week went.

Shoppe Keep – 64%

I was able to get one trophy for this game this week and I seriously have no idea what the hell happened to this game after the latest patch. This game constantly keeps crashing over and over again during random sections, there’s a ton of lag, and overall it’s making for a really unenjoyable experience. No one has yet to get the platinum trophy for this game and while the appeal of being that first person is really strong, I hate the on going struggles with this game so I’ll play when I have a short period of time to play and am in need of something quick.

Batman: The Enemy Within – 40%

With the second episode finally being released this week, I was able to find some time to actually play the entire episode. My thoughts on the episode will have to wait until my full review which will be coming out shortly. If you’re interested I did do a let’s play for this episode which you can watch here.

Until Dawn – 100%

There you have it, platinum number 81. Very proud of that number at the moment. Anyway, last week I said I was going to play a horror game this October and I totally did and even got the platinum for it. Score one for me. Anyway, like with all games I finish, you’ll have to wait until my review to see what I thought about the game.

And that was it for the week. A nice 26 trophies compared to last week. Not bad, but not great. Now onto next week. Apparently the next episode of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: A Telltale Series comes out on Tuesday so I’ll be fitting that into my schedule for the week. Other than that I’m not sure. I want to do a Let’s Play video series for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, but I’m just trying to find some time to actually get to it. Should have probably did that while I was actually playing. I also want to try and fit in a new game some time this week. We’ll see how the week goes and I’ll let you know next week.

This Week in Trophies – 09-24-2017 – 09-30-2017

I’m going to warn you right now that this is going to be a super short blog because I have no idea where I went wrong this week. After the non-release of Batman: The Enemy Within, all we got was a trailer for the upcoming episode, I spent the rest of the week playing Shoppe Keep…and nothing else. So yeah, I didn’t even get that many trophies, but let’s get into what I was able to get.

Shoppe Keep – 55%

At the moment I have a love hate relationship with this game because while it worked just fine, there was this patch and now the game crashes on me every so often and has lag. This sucks because a few times I forgot to save after a day was over, or a few days, and basically lost all of my data. I’m really close to finishing up and just need 5 more trophies for the platinum, but there is a hell of a lot of grinding involved. While I would like to become the first person to get this platinum trophy, I don’t know at the moment if it’s going to happen because it’s just seeming like a huge waste of time.

Shoppe Keep Shoppe KeepShoppe Keep Shoppe Keep

And that was it for the week. I know a pathetic amount of trophies with only four trophies to talk about. For the upcoming week though, I plan on playing Shoppe Keep, but just not as much and then trying something different for this month. So, this is October and you know I have this thing about horror games. I own a bunch of them, but I push them to the side because they freak me the hell out. Anyway, I’m going to try and play some horror games this month. What do you guys think? I’m also going to be playing a few other new games, but I’ll be starting Until Dawn either today or sometime this week. I’ll let you know how things turn out for me next week.

This Week in Trophies 09-17-2017 – 09-23-2017

This was a super crazy week for me, mostly because of work, which just completely and utterly sucked. I mean I know it happens, but I really hate when it happens because of office politics and all that other crap. Once again gaming was my means to escape it all and I think I did pretty good this week. Without talking more about my boring work life, let’s see what trophies I was able to get this week.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – 100%

I’m so glad I was able to get this platinum trophy making this my second Uncharted platinum trophy. I won’t say much about the game here so you’ll have to wait for my full review to see what I thought of the game. Unfortunately that’s going to be a little while from now because as you know my reviews are super backlogged, just like all the game I still have to play.

Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2 – 60%

A new episode of Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2 came out this week and luckily I was able to play it. I’ll have the video of my playthrough up by this evening, fingers crossed, and my review for the episode will be right after my Uncharted: The Lost Legacy review.

Shoppe Keep – 44%

I first seen this game in the PSN store in the weekly sale bin. I always check there even though I know I don’t need anymore games. Anyway, at first I was like this game looks stupid and then I was like this game looks like it could be fun so I purchased it. When I first started playing I thought the game was horrible and stupid, but I continued to play because I wasn’t going to give up that easily. Needless to say that I am now addicted to this game and have put countless hours into it when I should be playing some other stuff. Anyway, this game isn’t without its flaws, but I am growing fond of it.

And that was it for this week. A stellar week with 29 trophies in total. Not all that bad as I’m up to 7,803 trophies in total. I’m pretty proud of that. Now for the upcoming week, I’m going to continue playing Shoppe Keep because I know I can get the platinum trophy in it and I’m going to play until I do. I’ll also be playing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy again even though I have the platinum. Why? Because I’m going to be making a let’s play video that might have some random trophy tips in it here and there. I’ll also be playing the new Batman: The Enemy Within Episode when it comes out later this week. Other than that I think I’m pretty set on games for the week, but you never know. I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.
