South Park: The Fractured But Whole Review (PS4)

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

This was one of those games that I was so hyped up for that I couldn’t wait to play it. It had been delayed time after time and each time it got delayed I would groan in frustration and wait until the next release date was announced. When the hard release date of this game was announced and the game went gold, I went ahead and got my pre-order. I have to say that I bought South Park: The Stick of Truth on my PS3 as a whim because of two reasons. One I received a gift card and figured what the hell and two I’m a casual South Park watcher. I don’t watch every episode but that doesn’t mean that I won’t leave it on if I happen to find it on when channel surfing. Anyway, I ended up loving The Stick of Truth and figured that this one would follow in its footsteps.

The Fractured But Whole takes place right after The Stick of Truth. You are now king, but a sinister plot is brewing in the background. Also, it’s now time to play super hero’s. You’ll transform yourself from king into the super hero of your choosing in order to…wait for it…find Scrambles, the missing cat. There’s a hundred dollar reward for Scrambles and if you get it, you can help kick start the Coon and Friends franchise. There will be many obstacles in your way like a rival super hero gang, Freedom Pals, and Super villain Professor Chaos. While looking for Scrambles and battling your way through sixth-graders, Professor Chaos’s minions, and other obstacles you’ll find yourself uncovering the corruption behind the South Park Police Department. Just when you think it’s over and you’ve won, the game has only just started as Mitch Conner has some plans of his own.

This game is just like a South Park episode meaning it’s highly over the top. At first this is funny, but about 15 hours in, it’s not so funny anymore. For me, the perfect way to end this game would have been to defeat Professor Chaos, and finally find Scrambles. The whole Mitch Conner thing and how things went from there was just too much and it kind of ruined the game as a whole for me. I have to say though I did enjoy the whole super hero thing and how the kids switched games and had all these plans for franchises and spin-offs and based itself off of the whole Marvel and DC Universe type thing. That was done in a clever way, not to mention that all of your favorite characters from the show are in the game and it really gives you that whole South Park feel. If the game was a little shorter, I can’t believe I’m saying that, and a little less over the top it would have been the perfect sequel to the Stick of Truth. The fact that the game ran a little too long, became a little much and kind of crossed the line a few times, kind of knocked the game down a bit.

The playability of this game was much improved from the Stick of Truth and the battles were much more strategic. This made playing the game more fun and challenging as you really had to think about your next move. I really liked this aspect of the game as it was turn based and felt very old school RPG, but in a South Park way. This really made the game and the battles were really great as they had to be thought out and you had to see which other super hero was going to work best with you. The strategy side of this game was just perfect and a few times I had to go back and switch things up in order to create the perfect team to match my own character. I also have to credit this game for running as smooth as it did. There were a few hiccups along the way, but nothing major and game breaking. This was a good thing and it made the experience of playing better.

The graphics for this game were basically the highlight of the game because it put you right into a South Park episode. It’s pretty amazing how the graphics match up perfectly in order to do this and it really works for this game making it another highlight of this game. I loved being able to go and explore all of South Park and have it actually look like I was walking through the show and going into everyone’s house. I can’t say enough good things about how this game looks. I know it’s a simple graphic just like the show, but the fact that you feel like you’re in a episode of South Park only boosts the game.

There are a total of 36 trophies for this game and they’re pretty easy to get. All you have to do is basically play the game. Most of the trophies come naturally even though you may have to search for a trophy or two. The trophies themselves involve random things like finding collectibles, which can be done after the main game as you can still explore, to some gross things like using everyone’s toilet within the game. There are also some story based trophies and some battle based trophies along with playing on the highest difficulty. All of these aren’t so bad and even playing on the highest difficulty wasn’t all that hard. It’s a really do-able trophy list that shouldn’t be a problem.

There is no multiplayer for this game and I like how it wasn’t tacked on to try and sell more copies. This is a single player game and it was made that way for a reason. I really couldn’t see there being a multiplayer portion to this game and there isn’t a need for it. Not every game has to have some tacked on multiplayer.

Overall I give this game a 3 out of 5.

What’s Great:
+ This game really makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of a South Park episode as everything is basically the same as the show.
+ The switch from Medieval play to Super Hero’s was pretty neat and fluid that was also a fun take on the Marvel vs. DC Universe thing.
+ The playability of this game was much improved from The Stick of Truth and really worked for this game as you had to be more strategic and really think about what you were doing during the battles.

What’s Not So Great:
The game ran a little long and the story line became a little scrambled because of it. Sometimes bigger isn’t always better and this is one of those cases.
Fart jokes and other risqué jokes can only go so far and about 15 hours in, you’ll be tired of them, not to mention it’ll be even worse if you have to do another playthrough in order to beat the game on the highest difficulty.

I have to say that my feelings about this game are mixed. I enjoyed most of it until it went a little over board and instead of laughing at what was an obvious joke I found myself cringing. After the main story was revealed and then there was a sub plot hidden in there, it became a little tiresome to play and I just wanted the game to be over. I’m going to say that if you’re a die hard South Park fan, that you’ll want to pick this one up because it’s a 20 hour long version of the show. If you liked The Stick of Truth, I would still say that you might want to give this one a go, but expect it to be a little more over the top than the first game. If you’re not a South Park fan and get easily offended by random things, I would say to steer clear of this game and find yourself something else to play.

This Week in Trophies 11-26-2017 – 12-03-2017

This was a pretty good week for trophies considering that I was able to get a total of 24 trophies this week. It’s not a great amount, but it’s not a bad amount either when you consider the fact that one of those trophies was a platinum trophy. Anyway, on with what trophies I was able to get this week.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 100%

I finally finished this game this week. Everyone by this time knows that my reviews are backlogged, just like a lot of my games and you won’t be seeing a review for this game for a while, but I swear one is coming. Overall it was an OK experience playing this game but I’ll get into more detail in my review.

South Park: The Fractured But WholeSouth Park: The Fractured But Whole

Assassin’s Creed: Origins – 38%

I’m still have a really fun time playing this game and streaming it any chance I get. Exploring is one of my favorite parts of this game just because I really love the whole setting. The story line of the game is a little iffy at the moment and I’m waiting to see who backstabs who as I approach the final mission of the game. I want to try and get as much done as possible before that happens because I’m not really sure if you can go back and finish up after the game. If anyone knows and can drop me a line in the comments section it would be much appreciated.

Jeopardy – 54%

This was one of my holiday impulse buys. I told myself I would not play another Jeopardy game since I’ve been playing them since the SNES. That didn’t stop me though as I picked up this game and Wheel of Fortune. It’s like an addiction. I will say that this game is a little more boring than the PS3 version and the online section is already dead. If anyone is playing and needs someone to play 10 games in order to get the trophy for that let me know and I’m more than willing to help.

Star Wars Battlefront II – 43%

After finishing the campaign which was a little disappointing, I jumped into the multiplayer for this game this week and found it to be basically the same as the last game with a few differences here and there. It’s the standard multiplayer and I’ll have fun playing it from time to time.

The Sims 4 – 13%

As much as I love this game, it is glitchy as hell and trying to run a household is just a pain in the ass. It’s like seriously if you have more than two people, the whole game has no idea what to do. It’s a complete glitch and lag fest as after a certain point it just stops working. I’m either going to grit my teeth and try and get through it or wait for a new patch.

The Sims 4The Sims 4The Sims 4

And there you have it, my week in trophies. Now for next week, it should be some more of the same with the addition of Doom and Wolfenstein II, which I’ve been eager to play. I’ll try to get some other random games thrown in there for good measure, but we’ll see how the week goes especially with the busy holiday season coming up.

This Week in Trophies 11-12-2017 – 11-18-2017

This was a pretty exciting week for trophies as I played bunch of games, started two new games (like I needed to start more games), got one platinum trophy, and overall got a pretty decent amount of trophies for a week where I was pretty busy too. Anyway, on with the trophy breakdown.

Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2 – 80%

I played the latest episode for this game and completed it. You can watch my full playthrough of the episode here, but you’ll have to wait just a little while longer for my full review of the episode.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – A Telltale Series – 100%

As with Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2, I finished the episode, got my platinum trophy and you’ll have to wait once again for another review for this game. Sorry that my reviews are so backed up. Anyway, while you wait, you can also check out my full playthrough of the episode here.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 51%

I finally finished my first of many playthroughs of this game and actually was able to start bounties and rifts along with Act V on this game. I really enjoyed the extra act and I’m enjoying working on the bounties and rifts. As much as I enjoy those, I’m also looking forward to playing as the other characters and getting them to level 70 as well as my hardcore mode. Anyone looking to do a hardcore run through this game? Let me know and we can set something up.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins – 10%

I can’t remember when I actually had this much fun playing an Assassin’s Creed game. This game is truly amazing and I’m enjoying every single second of it. I enjoy just running around and doing side quests and working on the main story which I’m really not that far into. This really feels like an Assassin’s Creed game, just amped up from its break. I’ve been streaming this on a weekly basis, but if you miss my streams you can check out my adventures on my YouTube channel.

Star Wars Battlefront II – 7%

I know, I know, I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie, although I did see parts of Rogue One during my tattoo session. Anyway, I really enjoyed the first Battlefront and wanted to give this one a try. Right now I’m working on the campaign mode, but I’ll be getting into the multiplayer soon. You can watch me play the campaign mode on Twitch and if you want to set up a multiplayer session, let me know as not many of my friends are actually playing this game.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 91%

I got one more trophy for this game this week and the only one left is to play the whole game again on the hardest difficulty. This is going to be a chore, but I am going to try and power through it in order to get the platinum trophy hopefully before the end of the month and definitely before the end of the year.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

The Sims 4 – 7%

Because I am an old school PC Sims gamer, I broke down and got this one for my PS4. So far I’m playing this game as much as I actually can. I might or might not have been late for work one day because of it, but that’s besides the point. The controls feel a little wonky to me, but I’m still having a blast.

The Sims 4The Sims 4The Sims 4The Sims 4The Sims 4

A really nice week for trophies if I don’t say so myself. Next week should be pretty similar minus the platinum trophy because I have some extra time off thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday. I plan on continuing to play Assassin’s Creed Origins, Star Wars Battlefront II, The Sims 4, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and will try to find time to get the latest episode of Batman: The Enemy Within played this week. Come back next week to see how I did. In the meantime, I hope that everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving filled with a bunch of food and gaming.

This Week in Trophies 11-05-2017 – 11-11-2017

Trophy wise this was a pretty crazy week as I was able to get one platinum trophy, it could have been two, but I didn’t find the time, finished two games, started a new game, and just overall had a pretty busy trophy week. Anyway, let’s get into what trophies I was able to get for this week.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – 100%

This was my biggest accomplishment this week as I was finally able to get the platinum trophy after three weeks of playing this game. I can’t believe I played for three weeks and it sure as hell didn’t feel like I played that long. Anyway, my review for this game will be coming out in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned for that.

Wolfenstein: The New OrderWolfenstein: The New OrderWolfenstein: The New Order

Shoppe Keep – 73%

This game still isn’t fixed and keeps crashing every so often at random times so playing it is tedious. Since I’m at the point of the game where you can set the day up and basically walk away, I play when I’m doing other things and don’t mind stopping to take on barbarians every so often. I will be happy when they patch this game though and fix the crash error.

Shoppe Keep

Assassin’s Creed: Origins – 2%

I was only able to get one day of playtime with this game, but I completely fell in love with it and can’t wait until I can get into this game a little more. The year long break of Assassin’s Creed games was well worth it as Origins offers a new story and some amazing game play. I’m not that far into the game yet, but I’m really excited to see where it goes.

Assassin's Creed: OriginsAssassin's Creed: Origins

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 82%

I finally beat this game this week and the only thing I have to do is finish up with some collectibles and play on the hardest difficulty. This I know is going to be a chore, but I’m going to push myself through it and play this game a second time just because I really want to be done with this game and not have it hanging on my trophy list as unfinished.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 42%

After playing this game months ago, I finally finished all five acts with a friend of mine and couldn’t be more happier to finally be able to explore bounties and rifts. I know this game is going to take a while to complete and I’m fine with that because I’m just going to take my time and play casually.

And that was it for the week. A decent week especially because of the platinum trophy. Next week is going to be crazy because I’ll be playing and streaming Assassin’s Creed: Origins, trying to finish up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, try to play the newest episode of Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 and the final episode of Guardians of the Galaxy, get some Diablo III: Reaper of Souls time in there, and play 2 new games. It’s going to be crazy and I’ll let you know next week if I was able to pull it off.

Tentative Streaming Schedule for the Week of 11-05-2017 – 11-11-2017

I know that last week I did really bad when it came to sticking to this schedule and I apologize but I was pretty damn sick and not only do I hate being sick, but I hate playing video games as well. I know, I know. How can a gamer hate playing video games? It happens and it happens to me when I’m sick. Anyway, here is my tentative schedule for the upcoming week.

12:30 pm – 4:30 pm – ???(Probably Diablo III: Reaper of Souls)

There you have it, my schedule for the week. I know it’s a little on the light side, but this upcoming week is going to be extremely busy for me so this is about all the time that I’ll have to game. In the upcoming weeks, I’ll try to beef up my streaming schedule.

I’m not sure if I’m even close to finishing South Park: The Fractured But Whole, I thought I was last week, but this game seems to be stretching on a little bit too long if you ask me. What I’m most excited for though, since I’ve had this game sitting here for over a week now is finally playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins. I wish I had more time to play it though. Also, I am always looking for suggestions on what you want to see me stream. I’m even open to doing a co-op stream if anyone is interested let me know and we can set something up or let me know if you want in on my stream of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. Since it’s just me and my buddy I have two open spaces available and wouldn’t mind someone jumping in.

This Week in Trophies 10-22-2017 -10-28-2017

This was a great week for trophies because I got a bunch of them. I even passed the 7,900 mark making my way even closer to the 8,000 mark. I’m still baffled at the amount of trophies that I have considering that I when I first got my PS3, I was never interested in trophies at all and thought they were stupid. Now I write a weekly blog about them, go figure. Anyway, here’s how my week went.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – 94%

I finished the main campaign of the game this week, went back to unlock all of the perks, and solved all of the enigma codes. The only thing left for me to do is play on Uber. This might be close to impossible because I really suck at this game, but I’m going to try because I want this platinum trophy. I’m going to try really hard because first of all I think this game is great and second of all, I really think with some time and patience I can get it done.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 67%

While I did enjoy this extremely offensive game at first, I’m starting to enjoy it a little less. The whole game itself gets old really fast, but I’m really set on finishing it and getting the platinum trophy for it so I’ll continue until I do so.

That was it for the week because Best Buy sucks and didn’t deliver Assassin’s Creed: Origins even though I was promised to have it on release day. Now I’m not expected to have it until sometime next week. What the hell? Anyway, overall not a bad week with a bunch of trophies and two games that are almost finished. This upcoming week is kind of up in the air as I will probably be going back and playing Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on the weekend with my buddy while sticking to Wolfenstein: The New Order, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and hopefully Assassin’s Creed: Origins during the week. I’ll let you know how everything turns out next week.

Tentative Twitch Streaming Schedule for the Week of 10–29-2017 – 11-04-2017

Here is my upcoming Twitch streaming schedule. I probably should have mentioned last time that my times are eastern, which would have probably helped. As always, this is subject to a lot of change depending on if I actually get games, if I beat them, or of course if something else comes up. I will try to stick as close to this schedule as possible, and you could always follow me on Twitch or Twitter to see if I’ll be streaming or not.

5:30 pm – 7:30 pm – ???

There you have it my streaming schedule for the next week. I know you see a lot of question marks on there, mostly for Sunday and Saturday and those mean that I will be streaming at that time, but I’m not sure what. A buddy of mine has recently picked up Diablo III and wants to start from scratch and stream it together so if he’s on at those times when I’m streaming we’ll be streaming that together and if not, I’ll pick something else to stream.

Just as a side note, I think I’m close to finishing South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and if I do then those streams will be cancelled so that I can finish that game up and get the platinum trophy for it. Also, I am always looking for suggestions on what you want to see me stream. I’m even open to doing a co-op stream if anyone is interested let me know and we can set something up.

This Week in Trophies 10-15-2017 – 10-21-2017

This was a pretty exciting week for trophies as I continued to play Wolfenstein: The New Order, started a new game, and played the second episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. I was able to do all of that with a super crazy work schedule, so I’m pretty damn proud of myself. Anyway, let’s get right into my trophy breakdown for the week.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – 38%

I continued to play this game this week, mostly live on Twitch, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a great game and it’s one of those games that even though I’ve died like a million times, I’m OK with it and continue to play because I really like this game. I think it’s probably one of the best games that I’ve played recently. I’m looking forward to finishing the last two chapters of this game and then going back in order to clean up some trophies and then play on Uber mode.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm – 60%

The second episode of this game came out this week and I made sure to make time to play it. While I won’t say much about it here, you’ll have to wait for my review which unfortunately won’t be out for a while. I swear it’s worth the wait though and I should have my full episode playthrough on YouTube later today.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 23%

I started playing this game the second day it was released because my shipment got all messed up and it wasn’t delivered on release day like promised. Thanks Best Buy! Anyway, when I did start playing, I have to say that this game is just super funny. It plays out like an episode of South Park which is at times extremely offensive, but it is still funny as hell. I’m having a blast playing and can’t wait to finish.

A pretty good week with a total of 36 trophies to brag about. Not bad and I’m hoping my streak of getting this many trophies a week or possibly more will continue. Now for the upcoming week, I plan on hopefully finishing up Wolfenstein: The New Order and getting the platinum trophy for this game while I continue to play South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I’ll also stat playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins this week if I can get it on time. I’ll be playing most of this live on Twitch, so if you’re interested in watching you can always take a look at my schedule here and see what I plan on playing and when I plan on playing it. I’ll let you know how things go next week.

E3 2016 – Part 2

After the Bethesda conference on Sunday, I was pumped for Monday as it looked like it would be turning out to be a pretty good E3 after all. Sure there was some crappy stuff with the EA conference not really showing anything, but I had some pretty high hopes for the three press conferences that were to be showcased on Monday, so here we go.

Microsoft Press Conference

So, I don’t even own an Xbox, never have and probably never will, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to see what Microsoft has going on and in the works. They started the show by introducing the Xbox One S, which I thought looked pretty badass. Up next was the exclusive Gears of War 4 which will now have a cross-play feature between Xbox One and Windows 10. I’ve always wanted to play Gears of War because it looks like a pretty awesome franchise and 4 looks pretty amazing from what they showed. It also came with a release date of 10-11-2016 and there’s going to be a collectible controller.

Next up was Killer Instinct which kind of reminded me of a more successful version of Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. New Gears of War characters are going to be added and it had the crowd going crazy. This was followed by Forza Horizon 3 which is a racing game and I had zero interest in it because I’m not all that big into racing games to begin with. Then there was ReCore which looks like an interesting concept and you can tell that a lot of effort went into it, but yet again it was not something I would play so no jealously there.

Now I know I’m going to get a lot of hate, but the Final Fantasy XV demo did not impress me one bit. I’ve never played this franchise or have the desire to but it just looked like a bunch of people running around and dodging a big hand. This was followed by some DLC for The Division which will come to Xbox One first along with more information on Battlefield One which was just a repeat of what was shown at the EA conference. Next came some hardware stuff. I have to say that there was that slight kick in the balls to Playstatoin when they said they wanted to have a faster and more reliable network and the addition of Cortana who I personally find useless. Other than that they announced features that Playstation already has such “Clubs” or as us PSN people like to call them “Communities”. There was also an announcement of want ads for multiplayer and even though Playstation doesn’t have that, there’s PSNProfiles.com which you can basically do the same thing. There was also mention of the ability to be able to sign up for competitions. Then there was the introduction of customizable controllers which I have to say, had me pretty jealous since I would like to customize my Playstation controller like that.

After that was some Minecraft stuff which had me bored since the presenters were…a little too enthusiastic about Minecraft along with the new game from the creators of Limbo called Inside. Just another reminder that I still haven’t played Limbo yet. This was followed by a montage of indie games that are coming soon. Next up, We Happy Few which looks amazing and has a kind of BioShock feel to it where nothing is really as it seems to be. I’m really hoping for a PS4 release for this one as well as the next game which was shown which was Gwent. I’m assuming this was created to compete with The Elder Scrolls: Legends which has basically the same concept. While I’m not interested in The Elder Scrolls one, I do have a lot of interest in Gwent because in the short time I spent playing The Witcher 3, most of it was spent playing Gwent. Like The Elder Scrolls: Legends, there will be a single player campaign along with multiplayer.

Although I’ll pass on the Tekken 7 game and Dead Rising 4, which is basically killing zombies to Christmas music, I’m totally jealous of Scalebound which looks just really cool and Sea of Thieves because who doesn’t want to play as a pirate? Then there’s State of Decay 2…sigh…is it time to jump ship to Xbox? No, I have to resist the urge even though these games look pretty sweet. The trailer for Halo Wars had me realizing why I choose Playstation every time because I have zero interest in Halo and then the big finale.

Project Scorpio is announced for Holiday 2017 with the tag line “No one get’s left behind” and then Microsoft drops the mic and ends the show because they knew that Playstation wouldn’t be talking about Project Neo.

Ubisoft Press Conference

What better way to start a press conference then by dancing right? Which leads into the perfect opportunity to promote the next Just Dance game. Everyone lets out a huge sigh of relief because the world would simply end if there wasn’t another Just Dance game released for this year. While that was a whole ten minutes wasted, after a brief opening from Aisha Tyler, who killed it again like she does every year, we finally get into the serious games. Up first is Ghost Recon: Wildlands. While this game looks awesome as you hunt down a drug cartel, I’m not sure it’s for me. I like that there’s solo play and co-op but you really have to play with people who know what they’re doing because if not it’s just not as cool as it looks up on the E3 stage.

The next game up is South Park and it had a really weird intro making me thing that someone went and made a Purge video game, which I think would be really cool, but it turned out to be The Fractured But Whole which was one of the games I was looking forward to this year. I love how this game looks like an episode and is said to be a continuation of The Stick of Truth. The scenes that they showed were hysterical and the new game play was pretty sweet as it’s still turn based while allowing you to move around the battle area now. This is supposed to have a release date of 12-6-2016, but I’m thinking it’s going to be delayed. There’s also some more talk about The Division DLC and how this game is a long term commitment for Ubisoft which makes me happy because I can buy it whenever and it’ll still be relevant.

Ubisoft then announces it’s plan to get into the VR competition and at this point, I know it looks cool, but I’m not sure it’s going to be as big as everyone thinks it’s going to be. I really think it’s just going to be a super expensive fad. To show off their move into VR they decide to show Eagle Flight because who hasn’t wanted to play as an Eagle soaring through the air picking up rabbits and taking out other Eagles trying to get their prize? Anyone? Anyone? No One. Here’s the thing with VR, when they show it, it just looks like a first person game and you really can’t see what it’s going to look like. How do you really know that when you play whatever game it’s going to be that awesome? I know I’m on the border of getting some major hate, but that Star Trek VR game that was shown next looked so damn basic. It really looked like something from the 1990’s and not something that was made today, I know the actual Star Trek stars were playing and it was really cool, but was it?

Next, another game that I’ve been waiting for, For Honor. This year the trailer was even better than last year and I’m even more excited about this game. Not only is there multiplayer, but there’s also a single player campaign which I found surprising. I thought the combat style looked pretty sweet and it’s even nicer that this game finally has a release date of 2-14-2017. Yes, the release date is far away but I think it will pay off if this game has a little extra polish. On a side note, dear future girlfriend, please don’t be offended when I spend the day playing For Honor instead of doing all the things couples do for Valentine’s Day. Thanks!

No Ubisoft conference is complete without an oh-no moment and Grow Up, the sequel to Grow Home was one of them. I really can’t believe this mess of a game is going to have a sequel. Seriously, mind blown. Oh-No turns into Huh? as Trails of the Blood Dragon is shown and then a cringe worthy moment as there’s a promo and more for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie. I thought that when they said there would be no Assassin’s Creed they meant no Assassin’s Creed in any way shape or form. Guess not.

Finally is the WatchDogs 2 trailer, which I’ve avoided until this press conference just because I wanted to see it on the big screen of E3 first. I like that there’s a new location, new character who’s also a member of DeadS3c, but I kinda wish the new character was a badass hacker chick. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they got rid of whatever his name was because he was boring as shit, but still it would have been nice to have another lead role filled by a female. What’s nice is that it has a release date of 11-15-2016, but I don’t know if it’s a day one purchase for me. Contemplating if I’ll pre-order or not, I get a head shaking moment as I hear that there’s going to be a WatchDogs movie. Sigh.

Ubisoft ends the show with a new IP and I’m thinking this is going to be fun, but was soon proven wrong as it’s this weird sports, open world type game called Steep. Total pass, I completely zoned out by the end of the show and thought this was a horrible way to end their overall pretty good press conference.

Kudos: Seriously, another kudos to all the support from the gaming community for the tragic events of the night club shooting. It was nice that it was mentioned and that these companies didn’t act like nothing happened any they were more important than an actual tragedy.

There’s one more press conference to go and that’s the Sony one. The one that I wait for all year long like a child on Christmas Eve. It’s the big one for me and usually my favorite as I see a bunch of games that I know I’m going to have to buy. By the end I’m usually surprised and already making my list, but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what I thought of it.
