These Past Two Weeks in Trophies 01-29-2017 – 02-11-2017

Thanks to being sick with the flu for over a week, I’m not 100% better but I am well enough to get some gaming in and finally continue with my blog which I have missed. I want to thank all of my well wishers and people who continue to read even though I’ve had no new content. I truly apologize and completely blame a fellow co-worker who not only made me miss two paid days of work, but also made me miss doing this. She will not be named, but do know that I’m not her biggest fan. Anyway, let’s get to the trophies because there are two weeks worth of them and there are kinda a lot.

Catlateral Damage – 100%

I finally experienced what it was like to play as a cat. Was it a good one or a bad one? You’ll have to wait until my full blog on the game to come out in order to find out.

Hitman Go: Definitive Edition – 100%

Another game that I was able to start and then actually finish before my week in review so as always I can’t say much about it here. My full review will be up in a couple of weeks so you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to see what I thought about the game as a whole.

Stardew Valley – 44%

Like with most games, my love of this game has been wavering just a little. It might be because I’m sick and easily annoyed or it could be that the game has become tedious and it’s the same thing over and over again lately as I play. Either way I’m still playing when I get a chance in order to see if I’m missing something or if maybe I’ve already completed the game and I just don’t know it.

Overwatch – 16%

Oh how I completely and utterly suck at this game…let me count the ways. No matter how hard I try or which character I use I really just suck at this game. A big thank you to my buddy @klorg for putting up with me as I struggle to play on the same level as him. I’ll continue to play this game from time to time as I’m determined to become a somewhat decent player.

Gems of War – 91%

A little birdy told me this week, thanks LMD, that it is super easy to buy this new character and then quickly level him up to mystic status. I’m pretty sure you can still do it now so if you have a lot of glory wings you can do this too. Anyway, this kind of got me back into the game and I’ve been playing occasionally again.

Gems of War

Goat Simulator – 53%

Now again, I don’t know if it’s being sick or if this game is just the worst game that I have ever played. EVER. This is a big statement to make but seriously, whoever thought this was a good game I don’t even know what to say. There’s no point, there’s nothing funny about it, it’s just…stupid. I don’t use this word lightly and I don’t even see how there is so much damn DLC for this game about nothing, but there you have it.

No Man’s Sky – 1%

I said I would never play this game, but it was given to me as a gift. Shows you how well people know me and I figured since I already played one crappy game, Goat Simulator, how crappy could this one be too? Pretty damn crappy. I’m going to give this one a little bit more of a try though even though I cringe just thinking about it. I really have no idea why I even decided to play this game. It’s been a pretty sad week. I even fell asleep while playing.

No Man's Sky

LEGO Jurassic World – 10%

I played this game because I thought enough time had passed since I played my last LEGO game which was a Star Wars one. I’m a big Jurassic Park fan and I figured a Lego version of it would be cool to play because well…Lego Dinosaurs am I right? Anyway I’m on the fence so far about this game, but I do enjoy playing it at the moment.

That was it, a nice haul for two weeks, half of which I was so sick I couldn’t even lift my PS4 controller along with just getting annoyed with anything that I played. I’m really hoping that it’s just the fact that I’m really cranky when I’m sick. I know it’s horrible but still. Anyway, moving on as I become better each and every day until one day the flu is just completely gone, I’ll try to get in as much gaming as possible. With the amount of games that I’ve played this past two weeks it’s hard to say what I’ll be playing but I do know that I will be playing For Honor when it comes out on Tuesday. Other than that everything is up in the air and I’ll let you know how things turned out next week.

This Week in Trophies 01-22-2017 – 01-28-2017

I thought that this week was pretty eventful when it came to gaming. I finished one game this week and played two whole new games which I thought I was going to finish also but sadly didn’t. I’ll get into why in a moment. Other than that it was the normal crazy week that I usually have, I was just happy that I had some downtime to game and get some trophies. Let’s take a look at how my week went.

Watch Dogs 2 – 100%

I finally got the platinum trophy for this game! I was a couple of trophies away from getting this platinum last week, but was finally able to do it this week. I wasn’t too happy with the overall game but you’ll have to wait a few weeks for my full review to see why.

Watch Dogs 2 Watch Dogs 2Watch Dogs 2 Watch Dogs 2

Tetraminos – 80%

Remember that flash sale last week? Yeah, my wallet does because I picked up a bunch of games that I probably didn’t even need. Tetraminos was one of many games and I decided to play this one first because well it’s basically Tetris. I was looking for a good Tetris game for my PS4 because it’s like a staple point on each of my gaming systems and Ubisoft completely messed up the Tetris they released so I figured I would give this one a try. While I did enjoy it, I’m not enjoying the fact that there are bugs and glitches that stop you from getting trophies. These need to be patched so that I can finish this game.

Startdew Valley – 27%

This has to be one of those games that I’ve been playing for a really long time now and it’s amazing how it’s holding my interest this long. Usually I’ve been a little ADHD when it comes to games lately but I’m still really loving this game and enjoying every minute of gaming as I find new little tricks and just overall new things in the game each time I play.

Stardew Valley Stardew Valley

Catlateral Damage – 76%

Another game that I picked up on sale because I’m a sucker for these types of games that are similar to Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread. I really thought I would finish this game this week, but finishing the game requires a grind, which I’m not fond of and I’m going to get it done a little at a time because while this game is fun the first time around, after the 10th time around it’s not so fun anymore.

That was it for this week, a pretty decent trophy haul and I got to play some new games as well. For this upcoming week, my work schedule might be a little crazy but I’m going to try and get some game time in. When I do game I plan on finishing up Catlateral Damage, hope that Tetraminos gets a patch so that I can finish the game, continue to play Stardew Valley, and once again try to finish up This War of Mine: The Little Ones which I ignored this week. If I can get one of these games finished, I’ll probably start a new one. I’ll let you know how everything went next week.

This Week in Trophies 01-15-2017 – 01-21-2017

I think I’m at the point where I don’t even have to say that I had a crazy week since every week seems crazy. I think when my week isn’t crazy then it will be abnormal and I can talk about how uneventful it was and I had nothing to do and all that other stuff. For now though we’ll say that it was just crazy and move on from there. Now what you’re really here for which is my recap of all the trophies that I was able to get this week.

Trophy Milestone! This week I hit my 7,000th trophy! It was pretty amazing seeing that number on my trophy card. Years and years of hard work right there.

Watch Dogs 2 – 88%

I really thought I was going to get the platinum trophy before the week was out. I really really did, but it just didn’t happen as I got stuck on one of the missions because of stupidity and then this trophy with the 5 DedSec Events is really giving me a hard time since I can’t get any of these events to trigger. Anyway, I still have one final mission to go and then that DedSec Events trophy and one more trophy I specifically saved for last just to have a funny platinum snapshot.

Stardew Valley – 24%

Although I played this game this week, the trophies are slow to come as they aren’t the easiest to get. When I’m playing though I’m not really worried about the trophies and I’m just trying to have a good time. I’m still really loving this game as I try different farming techniques, but I just wish I had some more time to play.

Stardew Valley

This War of Mine: The Little Ones – 69%

The final trophies that I need to make this game finished and give me the platinum trophy are not easy at all. Half the time I’m almost there to get the trophy that I was going for and something happens and I just end up losing…again. It sucks, but I’m not giving up because I want the platinum trophy in this game. I’ve only been playing a little at a time though because this game is depressing and I don’t like playing for long periods of time.

This War of Mine: The Little One

That’s it for this week. I really wish that I did have some more time for gaming, but it just isn’t in my cards at the moment. There are a bunch of games I want to finish up before my deadline which is the 14th of next month because that’s when For Honor comes out. If I’ll be able to do it is another question. Then there’s this little flash sale going on…so yeah. Anyway, for next week I plan on getting that Watch Dogs 2 platinum trophy, and then tossing that game, continue playing Stardew Valley, try and finish This War of Mine: The Little Ones, and I might start something new that doesn’t require a huge amount of time to play. I’ll let you know how things went next week.

This Week in Trophies 01-08-2017 – 01-14-2017

My week was if nothing just absolutely crazy. Gaming was definitely my only solace this week. So, not to get to into what my non-gaming week was like I will say that it involved a co-worker trying to steal my vacation days that I’ve had planned since last year. LAST YEAR! My wonderful co-worker crossed my name off the vacation calendar and everything stating that she would be “out of town.” Without getting into it there was a lot of drama, some tears, on her part, and I got my vacation back. Anyway, now that I got that off my chest, here’s my weekly trophy breakdown.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones – 66%

I continued playing this game this week in hopes of finishing it and getting the platinum trophy. That didn’t happen though, as you can tell and it’s mostly because this game takes a lot out of me. The game as a whole sends a message and it’s a dark and depressing one. When I do play, it’s usually not for long and the trophies are all random because I have no idea what they’re even for half the time. Anyway, I’m determined to play until I have the platinum trophy.

Watch Dogs 2 – 27%

I started a new game this week and it was Watch Dogs 2. I picked up this game over the holidays when it was on sale and figured why not when I was searching for a new game to play this week. So far, I think it’s ok. It’s not a bad game, although the voice acting and the overall acting isn’t the greatest, and it’s not the worst game either. At the moment I have mixed feelings about the game in general but will continue to play because it’s cool to jump into other people’s games and watch them go all frantic while you hack them and hide in a parked car. Until they actually find you…then that’s a different story.

Stardew Valley – 22%

I love this game. I haven’t said that before have I? No, I’ve totally said it every single week that I’ve talked about this game. It’s just, great. I mean really, I get to live out my farming dreams and what could be better than that? I have everything set up just right to so I basically don’t have to do anything and can spend all day in the mines. How awesome is that?

Stardew Valley Stardew ValleyStardew Valley

That was it for this week, not a bad haul on trophies after the week that I’ve had. It’s been interesting, I will say that. I’m sure the rest of the year will be just as interesting and you can hear all about it every week here. As far as gaming goes, for next week I’ll be continuing to play Stardew Valley. I don’t think I’m anywhere close to finishing that game at all, but I will be trying to finish up This War of Mine: The Little Ones and Watch Dogs 2. If I can finish one of those games then I’ll start a new one. I’ll let you know how everything went next week.

This Week in Trophies 01-01-2017- 01-07-2017

I still can’t believe another year has gone by and it’s now 2017. Time just keeps flying right on by so I figured I might as well start the new year off right with some major gaming this week. I played so much of one single game this week I thought this was going to be one of my shortest blogs ever, but I surprised myself with a game binge fest yesterday and had some surprising results. Keep reading to see how my week went.

Stardew Valley – 18%

Have I told you how much I absolutely love this game? I’ve probably said it a few times now. I seriously only meant to play this game for a little bit at a time this week but got so into it that time just flew by and I spent more than half of my week playing only this game. As you can tell I’m hooked on this little game and am having a really great time playing.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered – 100%

I wanted to play something other than Stardew Valley because sometimes you just can’t play one thing over and over again no matter how much you love it. Anyway, I figured I would give this a try since it was a free PS+ game this month and I feel like while I add these games into my library I never get a chance to play. Anyway, I did and was able to get the platinum trophy in an all day binge fest. I’ll let you know what I thought about the game in a couple of weeks when I do my full review.

After I finished Day of the Tentacle Remastered, I still had a hankering for wanting to play something new. I have a bunch of games just piled up waiting to be played, but decided to give this little game, which was also free thanks to PS+, a chance. Lucky I did because I’m really enjoying it. It’s a different kind of game, one that took a few hours to get used to, but I’m totally hooked on it.

That was it for this week, a nice haul of trophies especially since I got the majority of them in one day. Now for the upcoming week, I plan on continuing to play Stardew Valley, This War of Mine: The Little Ones, and probably start something new. I would go back to Mafia III but for some reason that game just isn’t sitting right with me and I’m not sure if I can endure the whole game. It might have to be one of those games that I give up for now and then go back to at a later time. I’ll let you know how things work out next week.

This Week in Trophies 12-25-2016 – 12-31-2016

I want to start off by saying that I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year! In typical fashion I spent the last hours of 2016 trying to get in as much gaming time as possible and get those last few trophies that might help me out with my goals. I’ll let you know how I did with those tomorrow, but after that I spent some time with a buddy of mine playing some Borderlands which is always fun. I tried to get a lot of gaming in this week and I think I did pretty good so here’s a breakdown of how my week went.

Overwatch: Origins Edition – 13%

I had no intention of getting this game, but I got it as a gift and was extremely happy because one of my favorite Mass Effect 3 players was playing this game and I knew it would be awesome to team up with him. It was and I’m having a great time playing. We could always use some extra players though so if you have Overwatch and want to join leave me a comment in the comments section and we can set up a gaming session.

Stardew Valley – 7%

I finally got some trophies for this little game that I am loving so much. The trophies are well deserved and are no easy feat at all. It doesn’t matter because I just adore this game. It’s fun and there’s so much to do and I can’t stop playing. While it’s never a bad thing when you can’t stop playing a game, when you have a backlog as huge as mine it kinda sucks. Backlog be dammed though because I’m going to continue playing.

Stardew Valley Stardew ValleyStardew Valley Stardew ValleyStardew Valley

RISK URBAN ASSAULT – 45%

I’m in the mood of “what the hell was I thinking” while I play this game now. I’m struggling to play the online portion which is filled with people dropping out of the game when they’re losing and then trying to actually find a game while trying to finish up with some of the trophies for this game. It’s one of those games I’m going to struggle with but eventually get I hope.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier – 40%

All I’m willing to say about this game is that I played the first two episodes this week and you’ll have to wait a few weeks for my full review on each episode. Yes I know, but I’m behind once again on my reviews and have a ton of them coming out in the upcoming weeks. It’ll be worth the wait though!

Mafia III – 17%

When I know that I want to play a game, I try to stay away from other reviews and stuff which I know is weird because I expect you to read my reviews when the game comes out, but I feel like if I don’t I won’t be objective about the game. Anyway I am absolutely hating this game. I think that the quests are repetitive, you can’t do what you want when you want, and I’m tired of it playing out like a movie. Not to mention that Lincoln is one of the most unproportioned characters I’ve ever come across. The man is huge, clunky to move around, and just overall weird to maneuver throughout the game.

Mafia III Mafia IIIMafia III

That was it for this week. A nice way to end out the year and start a new year fresh. While you’ll see how I did on my goals for last year, I’ll also let you know the new goals I have in store for this year. As for this week though I plan on continuing to play Overwatch, Mafia III (grudgingly), Stardew Valley, RISK URBAN ASSAULT, and I actually have enough room on my PS4 to add a new game which might happen. I’ll let you know how everything went next week.

This Week in Trophies 12-18-2016 – 12-24-2016

Busy busy busy week since today is Christmas. Lots of last minute shopping, lots of work that had to be done, another Christmas party to go to (apparently one wasn’t enough), and lots of cooking and baking to do. Between all that I did get in some time to game though! Which was awesome and why you’re here waiting for me to tell you about my trophies for the week, so keep reading to see them all.

Batman – 100%

I dragged my feet a little when it came to this game, but I finally finished the last episode. I can’t tell you about it here, so you’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for my full review to see what I thought about the game as a whole.

Batman BatmanBatman BatmanBatman BatmanBatman

Battleship – 100%

I also got the final trophies that I needed for this game this week to clear it up and finish it before the end of the year. Always nice to finish a couple of games before the end of the year to feel like I actually made some progress. Anyway, you’ll have to wait for my full review to see what I thought about the game as a whole.

Battleship BattleshipBattleship BattleshipBattleship BattleshipBattleship

Stardew Valley – 0%

No trophies for this game yet, total sad face, but I’m having a blast playing. I like the farming aspect of it, I like the mining aspect of it, I love the whole town aspect of it. So far you can probably tell that I’m really loving this game even though it seems I can’t get any of the trophies for the life of me. No matter though, I’m having a blast playing.

Mafia III – 12%

I decided to start this game this week since it was one that I picked up on sale for the holidays. Gotta love those holiday sales. So far I’m finding it not so great as I struggle to play it. Lincoln is clunky and his movements are weird. I think they made him physically too big if that makes any sense and it makes it awkward to move him around. I’m having a hard time with the driving stuff too as well as the game constantly telling me what to do instead of letting me free roam.

Mafia III Mafia IIIMafia III Mafia IIIMafia III Mafia IIIMafia III Mafia III

RISK: Urban Assault – 10%

Since I was never allowed to play Risk as a child, apparently I would get a hankering for world domination, this was a completely new experience for me. I’m not quite sure if I like it yet, but I’m going to keep playing to see how things turn out. Right now I’m trying to just play the game and learn the ins and outs and then I’ll start going towards getting the trophies.

RISK: Urban Assault RISK: Urban Assault

That was it for this week. As you can tell, I didn’t even get the chance to play the new season of The Walking Dead. To be honest I’m not that disappointed though, but I should be able to get to it this week sometime. I think overall it was a pretty good week and next week should hopefully be the same. I plan on continuing to play Stardew Valley, RISK: Urban Assault, Mafia III, and I’ll most likely start Overwatch this week after I wipe my system clean of games that I’m no longer playing. I hope that everyone reading has a happy and safe holiday and I’ll let you know how my gaming week went next week!
