This Week in Trophies 08-09-2015 – 08-15-2015

Not a lot of time to spend with my Playstation systems made this week pretty uneventful trophy wise. While I still was able to get a decent amount of trophies and complete a full DLC, I still feel like I could have done better. Anyway, here’s how my week went.

Fallout 3 – 6%

Look at that, a whole three percent increase in this game. Amazing right? I’m still playing at a really low level, under 10, so traveling around the Wasteland is a pretty difficult task at the moment. I’m currently at this constant pace of walk around a little, save a lot, discover something new. I’m staying away from the main mission at this time because when I attempted it last time I got demolished. The good news is that I’m still really enjoying the game.

The Sims 3 – 75%

I continued on with this game this week because I think I overcame a lot of hurdles that hold back people from getting the platinum and I’m well on my way with only 8 more trophies to go. I’m also really enjoying playing this version of The Sims which is the most important part because if I wasn’t enjoying it then why the hell would I still be playing it.

The Escapists – 19%

I got one whole trophy this week from this game. One! This game is crazy hard and I’m having the hardest time breaking out of the second prison. I’m also pretty sure I messed up my current save somehow and I might have to start over again. I’ll have to see the next time I play. Although things are becoming a little tedious while playing this game, I’m still enjoying it when I find the time to play.

The Escapists

Dragon Age: Inquisition – 100%

I got back into playing Dragon Age: Inquisition this week with the release of some new DLC. I’ll have my full review of the DLC up on Wednesday. Playing made me realize how much I miss playing this game so I’m thinking that I might start my “reign of terror” playthrough where I’ll do everything wrong, make just about everyone hate me, and still get the same ending. Interesting.

That’s it for this week. Now for this upcoming week I’m going to try to pick up Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel again since I completely dropped it this week. I know I’m really close to the platinum in that game but I just got a little bored with it and decided to let it sit on the shelf for a little. I’ll also continue playing Fallout 3, The Sims 3, and The Escapists. Tuesday I’ll be playing the latest Tales from the Borderlands episode, which I’m super excited about, and I might or might not start a new game this week.

This Week in Trophies 08-02-2015 – 08-08-2015

Another week and another handful of trophies to add to my ever growing collection in order to help me get to my year end goal of 6,000 overall trophies. While I continued to play a few games that I’ve been working on for a while now I also started two new games this week. Take a look at how my week went.

Fallout 3 – 3%

I know, I know, Fallout 3 was at 3% last week, but I got one trophy in this game this week I swear! Seriously it is a complete pain to get trophies for this game, but I’m really loving the whole experience of playing this game. I would be getting more play time in with this game but I really like setting aside a decent amount of time to actually play because if not I feel like I’m not getting anywhere and I don’t like that. Fallout 4 is still months away so hopefully I can finish this before it comes out. Playing Fallout New Vegas though before the release of Fallout 4 is pretty much not going to happen.

The Sims 3 – 62%

I continued to play The Sims 3 this week because I am seriously close to the platinum. With only 13 more trophies to go, I’m confident that with a little more play time I can get this within the next few weeks. Since I’ve been playing The Sims since it was first released on the PC, I’m really enjoying getting back into this game and getting to play the console version which really isn’t all that bad.

Tennis in the Face – 100%

This was one of the games that I picked up on sale last week and figured I would give it a try this week. Needless to say, I couldn’t stop playing once I started and quickly got the 100% in one day. I’ll have my full review up on Wednesday.

The Escapists – 18%

This was the other game that I picked up on sale this week and thought what the hell, I might as well start it this week. My Orange is the New Black withdrawal is kicking in so I figured I would play a prison game to tide me over until next season. So far I’m really liking the game. I think it’s funny and clever and each different prison is like a puzzle that you have to crack in order to be able to escape.

That was it for this week. While I continued to work my way through Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel there weren’t any trophies which is how it goes sometimes when you’re working towards a platinum. Now for this week, Borderlands is still on my radar along with some Fallout 3, The Sims 3, The Escapists and I’ll also be making room for the much awaited and very anticipated Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC that comes out on Tuesday.
