This Week in Trophies 08-06-2017 – 08-12-2017

This was an interesting week as I was bogged down by work and felt like I barely had time to play anything even though I did get two episodic games in and finished the main content of a game, excluding the DLC, that I’ve been working on for over 10 months now. That being said, the reason why I feel like I barely had time to play because I’m currently working on my 80th platinum trophy which I really want to be Falllout 4, but it seems like every time I picked it up to play I had to put it down and do something else. I’m pretty sure platinum # 80 won’t be Fallout 4, but I’m at least willing to try. Anyway, I did better trophy wise then I did last week so let’s take a look and see how I did.

Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2 – 20%

You know how I hate to say too much about games that I’ve finished, so there’s not much to say about this game here, but my full review of the first episode of this game will be up this Wednesday, so be on the look out for that, and until then if you’re interested to see how my first playthrough went you can watch the whole thing here.

Gems of War – 95%

I finally finished the main trophy list for this game, which means time for a review! It also means that I won’t say much about it here other than the fact that I’ll be continuing to play this game as I try to finish up the DLC for this game. There’s only one trophy left and I’m pretty sure that I can do it, I’m just not sure when.

Gems of War

Batman: The Enemy Within – 20%

Yes this was the week of episode games as they were kind of easy to play and helped me make some content for my YouTube channel. While once again I’m not going to go into this game much here, you’ll see my full review in a couple of weeks you can take a look at my first playthrough of episode one here.

Batman: The Enemy Within Batman: The Enemy WithinBatman: The Enemy Within Batman: The Enemy WithinBatman: The Enemy Within Batman: The Enemy Within

And that was it for the week. A total of 13 trophies, which was an improvement from last week. Not a whole lot of improvement, but something. As for next week, I plan on continuing to play Gems of War as I’m involved in the whole Guild Wars thing, start the next episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, and start Sonic Mania when it comes out on Tuesday. I’ll be doing this while trying to fit Fallout 4 in my busy schedule which may or may not work because this upcoming week is also tattoo time. I’ll let you know how things work out next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-30-2017 – 08-05-2017

Believe it or not, but this week was worse than last week when it came to trophies. I thought I was going to be able to pop out a bunch of trophies this week since it seemed like I had a simple week, but it turns out that every single time I think I have a simple week it just goes to hell. Anyway, this was one of those weeks where I really didn’t have that much time to game and there was also the fact that Guild Wars started again with Gems of War. I have to represent my almost full Guild and participate, which when you have limited time to game takes up a lot of time. Anyway, take a look at the trophies I was able to get this week.

The Long Dark – 7%

I started this game the day it came out and seriously could not put it down for most of the week. I was even documenting my episode one playthrough, until I ran into some trouble with the third chapter. Since the latest update the game keeps crashing every 30-40 minutes and has become unstable. Because of that my recording, since I use the record feature on my PS4, has become unusable and I feel like I wasted a bunch of time especially since I have the first two chapters of episode one on my YouTube channel. I have to say that while I am enjoying the game, the constant crashing has gotten on my nerves just a bit and I might shelve this game until it’s fixed. I really hope this game gets fixed soon because it was totally worth the money that I spent on it and have already dumped a bunch of hours into it.

The Long Dark The Long DarkThe Long Dark The Long DarkThe Long Dark

And that was it for the week, making this a short blog. For the upcoming week, I’m going to hold off on playing The Long Dark until this crashing issue gets fixed, but I am going to start Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2, because even though I wasn’t really that much of a fan of the game as a whole when it ended last season, I have to see where this one goes, I’ll also be starting Batman: The Enemy Within when the first episode drops this week, and I might try to finish up a couple of other games or start a new one. I’ll let you know how things work out next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-23-2017 – 07-29-2017

This was a crazy week, lately it seems like which week’s aren’t crazy, but I tried to get in as much gaming time as possible. With it being close to the end of the month, I really didn’t want to start any new games. Shocking I know, but I wanted to go back and try to finish up some games. I did get a platinum trophy, and if you keep reading you can see which trophy it was for and how the rest of my week went.

Lara Croft GO – 100%

I finally finished this game and got the platinum trophy. While it didn’t take that long, only a couple of weeks, it kind of felt like it took forever to finish this game. Anyway, when I finish a game I don’t like to talk too much about it here. You can find my full review of this game up on Wednesday.

Lara Croft GO Lara Croft GOLara Croft GO Lara Croft GOLara Croft GO Lara Croft GOLara Croft GO

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 23%

To be honest, I really didn’t want to play this game this week. I put in my disc for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls when it told me that an updated was needed. Instead of waiting for the update, I took the disc out and put this disc in instead. I swear with this game though every single time I think I’m close to the game ending, it feels like it just starts all over again. I have no idea what’s going on, but I did enjoy my time playing.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb Raider

Pure Pool – 54%

I started playing this game again this week because I needed something quick to be able to play at night after work and I really couldn’t find another game that I wanted to play. I was able to rack up a decent amount of trophies for this game this week and was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure if I’ll keep playing in the weeks to come, but it was fun while it lasted.

Pure Pool Pure PoolPure Pool Pure PoolPure Pool

And that was it for the week. Not bad, but not that good either. This upcoming week is going to be a complete mess but I’m hoping to play some Gems of War, if Guild Wars starts up again, and then on Tuesday I’ll be playing The Long Dark which is a game that I’ve been looking forward to for the past few weeks. Other than that I have no idea what’s going to happen so I’ll let you know how everything goes next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-16-2017 – 07-22-2017

I have to say that this is going to be a really quick little blog because I didn’t get much done this week when it came to trophies or even gaming for that matter. It was one of those weeks where I had a lot of work, a lot of web design stuff with my oh so wonderful clients, a day when -gasp- I just didn’t feel like gaming, and he fact that my arm still kind of hurt from last week’s tattoo session. Anyway, here are the trophies I was able to get this week.

Lara Croft GO – 52%

I could have finished this game this week, but didn’t. I did add another two levels of this game to my YouTube channel so if you’re looking for some walkthroughs you can find them here. I’m really enjoying this game a lot more than Hitman GO. Mostly because even though it’s a puzzle game, there’s still a story being told where it seems like the Hitman game didn’t have that. Anyway, I’m hoping this week I can at least get the platinum for this game and finish up my video’s for this game.

Lara Croft GO Lara Croft GOLara Croft GO Lara Croft GOLara Croft GO

And that was it for this week. I told you it was going to be a quick blog. This upcoming week seems like a normal one so I should be able to game a little bit more. I’m going to try and finish Lara Croft GO and if I actually do then my video’s will be up on YouTube by Saturday. While I’m still playing this game, I plan on trying to get back into playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, some Diablo III and then try not to start something new with the new month approaching and it being a busy one with all these games coming out. I’ll let you know how everything goes next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-09-2017 – 07-15-2017

There were a lot of things going on this week that I feel like I didn’t even get a chance to game. From a messed up work schedule to a much needed tattoo appointment, time wasn’t really on my side this week which was just perfect because I decided I was going to start a new game and of course not even finish it. Anyway, onto the trophies.

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 20%

I thought this game was over when I played it this week, but apparently it’s not. I think I’m at the end now, I’m probably wrong again, but there still feels like there’s a lot to do. I do enjoy the time that I play, but I just can’t seem to be eager to start up that game every time I start my PS4. It’s kind of like, I sit there for a little while staring at my PS4 screen, sigh and then put the game in. Then I end up enjoying my playtime. I still don’t know what to think about this game is what it all comes down to.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb Raider

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 21%

I’m still really enjoying my time playing this game and play whenever I have a decent amount of time to play which wasn’t a lot this week. I was able to get past act II though and move onto act III. I’m right in the middle of act III and it shouldn’t be long before I finish the game itself. Getting the platinum trophy is a whole other story though as the first time I did it, it took me three months. With the different trophies for this game, I’m sure it’s going to take a hell of a lot longer than that plus there are a bunch of new games coming out next month that I’m eager to start playing.

Lara Croft GO – 25%

I picked this game up on sale last week and decided to start it this week. I finished with the first two levels, but it’s taking a little while to go through as I make video’s for this game as I go. You can see the first two level’s completely done on my YouTube channel if you’re looking for a walkthrough. So far I’m liking his a lot more than Hitman GO, which I played and reviewed. You can read the full review of Hitman GO, here. Like everything else, I’ll continue to play but it’s going to take a while because sometimes making video’s isn’t an easy thing to do.

AdVenture Capitalist – 42%

It seems like forever since I last played this game and got anything out of it. Anyone else playing this game feel like that? I really just want to finish this damn game and get it over with but the trophies are just annoying and grindy, which is what you get for a free game that you don’t want to spend any actual money on. Not to mention that this game is glitchy as hell and randomly doesn’t start or makes my PS4 do a hard shutdown. Not fun.

AdVenture Capitalist

That was it for this week. Nothing compared to last week, but at least it was something. Now for this upcoming week. I plan to try and finish up Lara Croft GO and if I do my remaining video’s will be up on YouTube next Saturday. If not, I’ll upload what I have and go from there. I also plan on playing some more Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Gems of War, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I might throw a new game in there depending on how I feel and I’ll let you know how everything works out next week.

This Week in Trophies 07-02-2017 – 07-08-2017

I had a lot of extra time on my hands this week and it totally shows because I was able to get an insane amount of trophies. This had a lot to do with a mid week holiday, some “schedule” adjustments and a lot of games that really weren’t all that difficult to complete. Keep reading to see the trophies I was able to get this week.

This War of Mine: The Little Ones – 75%

I picked up this game again last Sunday because I was looking for something different to play. I haven’t played this game in a while because it was depressing the hell out of me so I put it to the side. I picked it up and played for a few hours, got myself two trophies and moved on. I know I’ll get the platinum for this eventually, I just have to be in the right mood.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 12%

I’m slowly making my way through this game, if you were wondering @aaronmorrsi1995 won our little challenge and beat the game way before me. That’s besides the point though because I’m having a good time making my way though this game that I’ve played many times before. Even though I’m taking my time that’s probably the way it should be done because I’m doing a lot of exploring and other random things which is fun.

Gems of War – 92%

I was able to get another Gems of War trophy this week and it was for completing the weekly challenge because it was super simple. All you had to do was play Treasure Hunt. This is the second time they held this type of challenge, I completely missed the first one but I was not missing this one and I finally got my trophy. Only two more trophies to go for this game and I’m done.

Gems of War

Baseball Riot – 100%

I picked this game up on sale this week and was able to play the whole game. I’ll have my full review up on Wednesday with a surprise video to go along with it. If you’re looking for some tips though on how to get some of the more difficult trophies for this game, make sure to check out my YouTube channel as I uploaded 13 videos that should help out.

Tina’s Toy Factory – 100%

Another sale game this week that I won’t say much about because my full review of this game will be up within the next couple of weeks. It didn’t take too long to get the 100% on this game and there’s a reason for that, but you’ll have to wait for the review to find out why.

Puzzle Showdown 4K – 100%

Yet another sale game this week that I was able to not only finish but get a shiny new platinum trophy for this game. That makes platinum number 78 for me and I’ll have my full review of the game up within the next few weeks as well.

A full week for me this week as I started and finished three whole games. They weren’t huge games and didn’t take that much time, but it was still pretty decent not to mention that I was able to get my 78th platinum trophy. If only I could keep this up. Now for next week, I have a jacked up schedule at work again. Go figure, so I have no idea what’s going to happen gaming wise. I’m going to try and continue playing Gems of War, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Diablo III, but I might also start Lara Croft GO which I also got on sale. I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.

This Week in Trophies 06-25-2017 – 07-01-2017

This was a good week for gaming. At least I feel like it was a good week for gaming. My trophy breakdown kind of reflects it, but I’m also at one of those points where I play a lot, but I’m not really close to getting any trophies because they require an insane amount of work to actually get them and I’m working on it. Makes sense right? Anyway, here’s a breakdown of how my week went.

Gems of War – 90%

I’m almost finished with the “main” trophy list and once I do I’ll have a review for the game as a whole, but I feel that it’s really not worth it to write a blog for each and every update because nothing about the main game actually changes that dramatically. There basically just updates that tack on another three trophies. Anyway, I’ll keep playing this as I’m now invested in Guild Wars and I finally have my Guild up to 30 active members. Go Guild!

Gems of War

Dungeon Defenders II – 52%

Not like the first Dungeon Defenders at all, it’s still an ok game if I could actually get it to work on the first try. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to log in and when I do I am stuck at one of the levels. Completely stuck and no matter what I do I cannot beat this one damn level. I played for a few hours this past week, but became extremely frustrated and eventually stopped. I’ll try this game again during the week to see if I can advance any.

Dungeon Defenders II Dungeon Defenders IIDungeon Defenders II Dungeon Defenders II

Killing Floor 2 – 22%

Although this game is basically do this, rinse and repeat, I’m having a pretty good time when I play. It’s not one of those games that I could play for hours upon hours, but it’s a nice game to play when I’m limited on time. Once you get the hang of the game and how the weapons and classes operate it’s really not that bad. It’s not that great either, but you know how it is.

Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2Killing Floor 2

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 15%

I finished the Baba Yaga DLC this week, just the main story not the rest of the stuff that comes with it, and will continue to play although it’s kind of lost it’s interest for me. I don’t really know the direction in which the game is going and although the story line is an easy one to follow, I have no idea what I’m doing half the time. I thought the Baba Yaga DLC was a pretty decent DLC as it told the tale of an old Slavic folklore, but if I had to pay for it I would have been disappointed at the length.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – 6%

I started this game yesterday after asking for a suggestion on twitter and getting a response from @aaronmorrsi1995. This isn’t my first time playing Diablo III since I played on the PS3 and even have the platinum. This time around is different though as it has a bunch of new stuff added in and so far I’m enjoying playing an old favorite of mine.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil EditionDiablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil EditionDiablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition

That was it for this week. Not a bad week by far and at least I got to start a new game. Now for the upcoming week, I have some extra time off for work. Thank you random holidays, which means I’ll also have more time to game. This is never a bad thing. I plan on continuing to play the games that I’ve been playing, Gems of War, Killing Floor 2, Dungeon Defenders II, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. Even though I wanted to play a new game last week though and I did, I still have that need to play something else now that all of my games have finally been added into my PS4. I’m hitting the 2TB mark with everything so I’m thinking the 8TB external drive was a good thing. Will I start something new? You’ll have to come back next week to find out.

This Week in Trophies 06-18-2017 – 06-24-2017

With work being easy as pie this week and my web design client being taken care of about mid week after the disaster last week, this left me the perfect opportunity to game as much as possible this week and I totally did. I felt like I played more games this week than I have in a while and it actually felt good. Without even knowing it I hit my milestone 7,500th trophy this week which I really still can’t believe. I didn’t stop there and powered on though so keep reading to see how I did this week.

Abzu – 100%

I finally finished this game this week! One more game that was removed in my ever growing backlog. As always though, I’ll be giving you my full review of this game so come back Wednesday to hear about my experience with the game and what I thought about it.

ABZÛ ABZÛABZÛ ABZÛ

Killing Floor 2 – 18%

So the servers for this game absolutely suck and it seems I can never get into a game, but when I do I usually spend anywhere from 30 minutes to about an hour and a half playing this game. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not a great game either. I do enjoy just sitting there and playing without having to actually think and that’s one of the things that draws me to this game.

Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2Killing Floor 2

Gems of War – 88%

With the new patch for this game, came new trophies and I was like Ugh. I’ve been playing this game daily because of the guild wars, but have now played even more as I try to finish up this ever growing trophy list which just seems impossible. The good news is that I did finish all of the new patched in trophies, which were just a bunch of crap really since they were just add-on’s to previous trophies.

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 14%

I’ve been slowly making my way through this game for the past few weeks, really wishing that I had played Diablo III instead, but I’m making some progress. Or at least I think I’m making progress. With this game I really have no idea. Anyway, when I do play I enjoy the time that I play, but I’m still not sure about this game. Am I close to the end, am I not close to the end? I have no idea as I’ve now been sucked into some DLC stuff. Anyway, I’ll keep powering through to see how it goes.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider

Dungeon Defenders II – 23%

I downloaded and started this game this week because it was free and I really loved the original Dungeon Defenders. I spent hours upon hours playing the original with some former friends and I thought that this game would breathe some new life and give me some new memories, but so far I’m not that into it. I’ll keep playing to finish up the trophies and stuff, but it just isn’t as good as the original which I do miss playing because someone had to shut off the servers.

Dungeon Defenders II Dungeon Defenders IIDungeon Defenders II

And that was it for this week. A pretty productive week, and I kind of plan on next week being the same thing. I plan on continuing my Rise of the Tomb Raider playthrough, get some Killing Floor 2 in when I can, and play some more Dungeon Defenders II to finish the game up. It is the end of the month so I am a little weary about starting a new game, but you never know because when I get that itch of wanting to start something new, it just can’t be stopped. I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.

This Week in Trophies 06-11-2017 – 06-17-2017

I’m going to be honest and say that this week basically just sucked when it came to trophies. I really had absolutely no time to play because of real world problems. Not only do I work one of those super adult desk job type jobs which makes me think every once in a while, when did I get so old, but I also do some freelance Web Design and Development. While I thought I would have a nice week of playing video games when I was done with my job, turns out the freelance stuff wasn’t so easy this time around as one of the sites I manage had the shit hit the fan and it was up to me to clean it up. Anyway, I did manage to get some gaming in and here’s what I was able to get.

Abzu – 50%

I finished up the main story to this game and am now going back to get the trophies that I missed. I have to say that I really enjoyed this underwater Journey game and by the end felt a deep connection to the game that I didn’t think I would feel. I’ll get into that more once I eventually finish it and write the review, but for now that’s all you’re getting.

ABZÛ ABZÛABZÛ ABZÛABZÛ

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 12%

I never knew it would take this much time to play a Tomb Raider game. Time was not on my side this week and I was barely able to play this game because of my lack of time. I’m kind of enjoying my time playing, but the jury is still out on this game and I think I’m towards the end so I don’t know what to think.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb Raider

Killing Floor 2 – 2%

Why did I start this game this week? Two reasons, one because it was recommended to me and two because I was having such a frustrating day that I needed something that was mindless and fun in order to relax. Mission accomplished on both ends. While I can’t see myself getting lost in this game, I can see myself going back every once in a while to have some mindless fun.

Killing Floor 2 Killing Floor 2

And that was it for this week. I’m thinking that this upcoming week is going to be more of the same because I still have some Web Site stuff to figure out and my clients are a pain in the ass. Pro-tip from a seasoned Web Designer, never ever do stuff for so-called “friends.” It doesn’t work out. EVER. And if something goes wrong you’re always to blame even if you aren’t. Anyway, back to the gaming stuff. I’m hoping I can finish Abzu this week while continuing to play Rise of the Tomb Raider and some Killing Floor 2 when I have the chance. Chances are that I won’t be starting anything new any time soon, but you never know. I’ll let you know how my week turns out next week.

This Week in Trophies 06-04-207 – 06-10-2017

After a few lackluster weeks, I really felt like I had to amp it up with the trophy hunting because there are a bunch of games in my backlog and I really want to finish them up and move on. Anyway, I feel like I did a good job. Not dragging this out, let’s see what trophies I actually did get this week.

MouseCraft – 100%

I took most of the day last Sunday to finish this game up and had a really great time doing so. Like always, I’ll have my full review posted within the next couple of weeks to let you know what I really thought about the game.

MouseCraft MouseCraftMouseCraft MouseCraftMouseCraft MouseCraftMouseCraft MouseCraftMouseCraft MouseCraftMouseCraft

Rise of the Tomb Raider – 11%

I started this game this week after a big debate of if I was going to play this game or Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. So far, I think it’s ok. It’s not the greatest Tomb Raider game, but it’s not the worst either. I’m still not far enough into it to actually judge it, but I am playing it when I can.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider Rise of the Tomb RaiderRise of the Tomb Raider

Abzu – 15%

I also started playing this game this week because I like having those smaller games to play along with the big games since I’m never sure how much time I’m going to have to game. Anyway, I’m kind of liking this under water Journey like game even though the controls are a little tricky and at the moment I’m not sure what the whole point of the game is.

ABZÛ ABZÛABZÛ

And that was it for this week. Not bad trophy wise, and I did get a lot of game play in so I’m a happy camper. This upcoming week, I plan on finishing Abzu as well as continuing my journey with Rise of the Tomb Raider in order to see where that leads me. Going off topic for a moment, I didn’t realize that Rise of the Tomb Raider has 125 trophies. Seriously? That’s a lot of trophies. Anyway, I’ll probably also be starting Killing Floor 2 because Matt @TheAlbumWeb has told me how absolutely wonderful this game is despite the fact that the trailer looks like crap. I’ll let you know next week if Matt was right about Killing Floor 2 and what other trophies I was able to get.
