These Past Three Weeks in Trophies 12-02-2018 – 12-22-2018

As you might have already known, it’s been three whole weeks since I posted a trophy blog. I’ve basically been sick these past three weeks with a really bad case of bronchitis that also turned into a really bad ear infection, which caused me to miss a bunch of work, then work while I was sick and miserable because everyone is just miserable when they’re sick and who really wants to work, and it caused me to miss a lot of blogging and a lot of gaming. I am feeling a little better as the bronchitis starts to go away and the ear infection has basically cleared up, so why not start blogging again. Anyway, here’s a breakdown of the trophies I was able to get within the past three weeks.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 82%

I finally got the platinum trophy for this game! Which means that I can’t say anything about this game here, and my reviews are really backed up so it’s going to be a while before I can actually tell you guys what I thought about the game. I will say that for the first time ever, I did actually buy the DLC for this game and even finished that, so I also can’t talk about that here. I promise that the new year will be filled with reviews though.

Dying Light – 28%

Thanks to my buddy @tjarvinen86, I was able to get some trophies for this game within these past three weeks. I want to say a big thank you to him for playing this game with me while I was sick because I was really sick and he had to hear all of my coughing and sneezing and all that other gross stuff over the microphone, but he stuck with me and helped me progress in this game.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game – 18%

I’ve been wanting to play this game for a while and when I seen that this game finally had trophies, I downloaded it for free and started playing. Thanks to this game I was able to get my 9,000th trophy which was a huge milestone for me. I have to say though that I’m really enjoying this game and I really like playing when I get the chance to do so.

WWE 2K19 – 35%

This is the first WWE game that I’ve played in a really long time, I bought it on sale during the holiday sale time and decided to play it. It’s also my first 2K WWE game and I have to say that from what I’ve played in the past, this feels like a huge downgrade. I’m really not enjoying this game and it feels like an absolute chore to play. I like to call this my angry game because it either makes me angry when I play or I play it when I’m feeling angry for whatever reason.

Tomb Raider – 55%

Here’s a blast from the past because the last time I played this game on the PS3 was when it was released. I played this game when my buddy @tjarvinen86 needed some MP trophies that I also needed. Another big thank you to him for playing this game with me because I was so sick when we played and he had to endure all of my sickness.

There you have it, three weeks, a total of 53 trophies, a new platinum trophy, and a milestone 9,000th trophy. Not bad for being sick and taking breaks between sleeping, working, and being miserable in order to game. For the upcoming week, I plan to continue to play some more GWENT, WWE 2K19 so that I can finish it up, and some other games that I have left unfinished because I refuse to start a new game until the new year. I’ll let you know how things worked out for me next week.

This Week in Trophies 11-25-2018 – 12-01-2018

I don’t know what happened trophy wise this week. I feel like I got off onto a great start, but then just went downhill somewhere with the trophy count. That being said, the whole week wasn’t a loss because I did hit my 100th platinum trophy. Which was amazing, I expected balloons to drop down from the ceiling, but I guess that doesn’t happen when you hit that kind of milestone. Anyway, let’s take a look at my final trophy count for the week.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 100%

Not only did I hit my 100th trophy thanks to this game, it was also pretty cool that this was a milestone platinum for me seeing how my 10th platinum trophy was Borderlands 2 on the PS3 and that I was able to get it at the exact same time as my buddy @tjarvinen86. It’s like we planned it or something. Anyway, it only took a little over three years for me to get this trophy so it’ll take me a little time to review this game as I continue to work on my backlog of reviews. Until then I’m going to keep quite on this one.

Borderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 65%

I’m still enjoying this game way too much as I make my way around ancient Greece. The trophies are coming a little slower now as I grow closer to getting the platinum for this game, but I’m fine with that because I’m enjoying this game so much that I think this might be the first Assassin’s Creed game that I actually keep and buy all of the DLC for. Now that’s saying something.

Assassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed Odyssey

There you have it, a sad 10 little trophies for the week, but what makes up for all of that was the fact that one of those trophies was my 100th platinum. I could have just gotten the 100th platinum trophy for the week and still have been a happy camper. Now for the upcoming week, I just got a bunch of games in because of holiday sales and I have to say that I’m eager to play each and every one of them. I know this is going to kill my completion, but this week I plan on playing some more Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, especially with the new DLC coming out, some more Dying Light when I get a chance, and I’ll probably start my first WWE game that I’ve purchased in years, along with Vampyr. I’ll let you know how things worked out next week.

This Week in Trophies 11-18-2018 – 11-24-2018

This week has been pretty good. I made a lot of progress on some games that I’ve been playing and some progress on some games that were just sitting in the backlog list just waiting to be played. While I didn’t finish anything this week, I was happy at what I was able to get so let’s take a look at the trophies that I got this week.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 53%

I have officially finished this game, meaning that the story for this game is done. I’m not done with this game though because I’m having way too much fun exploring Ancient Greece and there’s still a bunch to do. I have to say though story wise, that I think this is the best Assassin’s Creed game hands down. I loved how the game ended and I’m excited to see where the franchise goes next.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – 95%

It’s been three whole years since this game has been on my blog and it’s all because of @tjarvinen86. After he got his Borderlands 2 platinum, he went back to this game so naturally I also went back to this game and we’ve been just getting as many trophies as possible and are both pretty close to getting the platinum trophy. This is some exciting stuff since I really didn’t expect to ever get this platinum trophy.

Borderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-SequelBorderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Dying Light – 23%

Another game I never expected to finish or even play again, but when @tjarvinen86 offered me some help with the game, I couldn’t turn down the chance of adding another platinum trophy to my list and getting another game finished. So far I’ve restarted my story since I have no idea where I was before or what I was doing, and it’s coming along nicely. I got some trophies out of the way and now have a bunch of random ones and story ones to go. We’ll see how it goes.

Dying LightDying LightDying Light

While I was only able to get 22 trophies this week, I feel like I made a lot of progress. I finished a game that I’ve been playing and streaming for over 70 hours now and I went back to two old games and finally started playing them again. I would call that a successful week. For the upcoming week I plan on trying not to start a bunch of games that I got on sale during the holiday time and concentrate on finishing up Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Dying Light. I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.

This Week in Trophies 11-11-2018 – 11-17-2018

This week had its ups and downs. While I was able to acquire two platinum trophies this week, yes two, I did go without internet for a while which meant that I wasn’t able to stream and I couldn’t play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as much as I wanted to. This put a little damper on my gaming, but I think I recovered nicely, so keep reading to find out what trophies I was able to get this week.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected – 100%

I finally got the platinum and 100% for this game this week and it’s all thanks to my buddy @tjarvinen86. I won’t say much about the game here, because everything will be in my review. As you probably already know, my reviews are backed way the hell up so it’s going to be a little while, but please be patient with me as I promise that a review for the whole game as well as the DLC Enter the Dominatrix will be out soon.

Saints Row IV: Re-ElectedSaints Row IV: Re-Elected

Burly Men at Sea – 100%

My second platinum trophy for the week, which is always a rare but welcomed occurrence. I can’t say much about this game either which just kills me because I want to talk about this game. This review will also be coming out soon, so just bear with me as I try to get everything out as soon as possible.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 31%

So I was able to get one trophy for this game this past week and I’m fine with that. What I’m not fine with as that my internet was down again so I couldn’t stream this game and didn’t play. This has made me come to the sad conclusion that I just won’t be streaming open world games anymore making this my last open world game that I stream. They just take too much time to play and stream that it’s just not working for me. I do love this game though and will continue to enjoy it as I slowly make my way through it.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Red Dead Redemption 2 – 7%

So I’m still not able to get into this game and I just started chapter 3. I’m not sure if the game picks up from here or what’s going on, so at this point I’m a little disappointed and would have rather that I waited to get this game on sale or purchase Fallout 76 instead. I’ll continue to play this game as it seems I have no choice, but I’m not really all that happy about it.

Red Dead Redemption 2Red Dead Redemption 2

A total of 30 trophies for the week, which basically cuts last week’s total in half, but I did get two platinum trophies so that has to count for something right? I’m also close to hitting the 9,000 trophy mark which has me really excited as I should hopefully be able to do it before the end of the year. Now for the upcoming week I plan on playing some more Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, and some Dying Light in co-op with my buddy @tjarvinen86. I’ll let you know how things go next week.

This Week in Trophies 11-4-2018 – 11-10-2018

I have to say I had a pretty damn good week when it came to trophies. I was able to get one platinum, which was a given and thanks to my buddy @tjarvinen86, I was able to come really close to getting a platinum trophy in a game that I’ve been ignoring for the past two years. Anyway, onto the trophies.

Goosebumps: The Game – 100%

Just as quickly as I started this game, I also finished it. That means that I won’t be saying much about this game here and you’ll have to wait for my review of this game which should be out in a few weeks. I have a lot of game review and DLC content coming out within the next few weeks so be patient with me as I try to get everything posted.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 36%

Can I tell you how much I still love this game? Yes it’s true, I’m totally in love with this game and I play every chance that I get. It’s an amazing game and I can’t stop playing it. That being said, the trophies are coming really slow and that’s fine with me because the one thing I love doing in this game is exploring.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Red Dead Redemption 2 – 4%

So I’m slowly coming around to this game, probably as slowly as this game is progressing. I’m not spending a whole lot of time with it, but I am spending some time with it and I still feel like I’m learning the ins and outs of it.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected – 93%

After finally being able to get a co-op session in with my buddy @tjarvinen86, this was the game we decided to play and because of him I’m one trophy away from my platinum trophy and I was finally able to finish Enter the Dominatrix. While I won’t say much about the DLC or the actual game since reviews on both of those will come in time, I will say that I had a great time co-oping this game with my buddy and this is one of those games that works better when playing with friends.

What Remains of Edith Finch – 100%

I didn’t know what to expect going into this game. All I knew was that it was short and I could basically get it done in one sitting. So I did all of that, got all of the trophies and before I talk more about it, you’ll have to wait for a review.

That was it for this week and are you ready for my total? A total of 60 trophies this week! How awesome is that! Pretty damn awesome for me. Now for the upcoming week, I doubt I can get another 60 trophies but I plan on finishing up Saints Row IV: Re-Elected once and for all, playing and finishing Burly Men at Sea, and of course playing some more Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ll let you know how things turn out next week.

These Past Two Weeks in Trophies 10-21-2018 – 11-03-2018

These past two weeks have been crazy. Not just in the trophy department, but in general. As you may have known by now, last weekend I attended Spooky Empire, which not only put me behind on my gaming, but also blogging. Totally worth it though, as most conventions are and it did give me some more time to try and get more trophies then I normally would, so let’s check them out.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 36%

I absolutely love this game and think it’s the best thing to ever happen to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. I love the RPG elements, I love the exploring elements, and I just love the story of this game. It’s an amazing game and I really can’t stop playing it. It’s my go to game and even though you don’t have to explore every single location in the game. It’s just like, why not? This is probably also why it’s taking me so long to finish the game, but I’m not complaining.

I, Zombie – 100%

This is one of those little games that I picked up on sale for Halloween and actually finished it which means I won’t say much about here, but once I get my shit together I’ll have a proper review of it up.

I, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, ZombieI, Zombie

Red Dead Redemption 2 – 2%

I was so eager to play this game and when I couldn’t play the game I got to the point that I was bummed at Spooky Empire that the game came in and I couldn’t play it! When I finally did get a chance to play it I was even more bummed out because I just can’t get into it. I’ve spent a few hours playing and for some reason I just can’t get into this game. I don’t know if it’s me or the game, but I really loved Red Dead Redemption, so I’m going to give this game a big chance and continue to play even though I feel like I’m forcing myself to at this point.

Red Dead Redemption 2Red Dead Redemption 2

There you have it, two weeks, 22 trophies. This is pretty sad and I hope to be on a climb when it comes to trophies for the next couple of weeks, but we’ll see how things go. For the upcoming week I plan on continuing to play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, try to get into Red Dead Redemption 2, and probably work on a few other games that are in my backlog as I try to get my stats up for the end of the year. I’ll let you know how things go next week.

This Week in Trophies 10-14-2018 – 10-20-2018

This week was basically and up and down kind of week. I wasn’t really feeling all that great mid week and actually didn’t game for a couple of days in order to rest up. No one really likes to game when they’re sick. Anyway, I was feeling better by the end of the week and tried to get as many trophies as possible. Take a look and see what I was able to get for the week.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 22%

I’m still loving this game and I’m loving the fact that I don’t have to actually work on the story at the moment and I can go around and just do random stuff. If one of the random things I choose to do just happens to be the story, then so be it. If not, I really don’t care as I just love exploring ancient Greece and I love playing as Kassandra.

Assassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed Odyssey

Doodle Devil – 100%

I picked this game up on sale yesterday and actually completed it. So while I won’t be saying much about it here, I will say that I have a review coming up for it in a few weeks and will actually have a trophy guide for it as well, so stay tuned for both of those.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition – 35%

For some reason I remember having more fun playing this game on my PS3. I’m having a really hard time playing this game for some reason and every time I load the game to play it just feels like this huge chore. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I will continue on with this game to get the platinum because it would look really weird to have the platinum trophy for this on the PS3 and not the PS4.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition

Minecraft – 28%

This still isn’t my favorite game, but if I know someone who says, “hey come in my game and get some free trophies,” I’m not going to pass that up. So, that’s basically what I did this week. I knew someone who was able to get me some trophies and I did. Yay trophies.

MinecraftMinecraft

Shadow of the Tomb Raider – 55%

I finally finished this game this week, and although I did enjoy this game, I don’t think it was worth the $60 that I paid for it. Sorry, but it just wasn’t. The chances of me getting the platinum trophy for this game are kind of slim, but I wouldn’t rule it out. I’m kind of happy though with the 55% that I finished with. I might go back and so some of the challenge tombs and try to complete the game to 100%, but I’m not sure about the difficulty related trophies. I also thought that this was a fitting end to a series that has naturally come to close.

Shadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb Raider

There you have it, a total of 29 trophies which isn’t bad considering that I didn’t game for most of the week. While it’s not the best week, it wasn’t the worst either. Anyway, this blog is going to be on hold for the next week and will pick up again on November 4th as I have some stuff that I’ll be doing next weekend and will be unable to blog. Shock and horror I know, but we’ll see how many trophies I can get in two weeks time. For the next two weeks though, I’ll be playing some more Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, maybe some Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and of course Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ll let you know how everything goes when this blog resumes in November.

This Week in Trophies 10-07-2018 – 10-13-2018

While this week wasn’t as great as last week, I still had a pretty decent trophy haul that I’m proud of and I was able to stream a lot more. While I wasn’t able to stream as much as I wanted to, it was still something. I think of this week as kind of a win-win type week, so let’s get into my trophy breakdown for the week.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 18%

Have I said how much I absolutely love this game? I want to play this game 24/7 and I still feel like that wouldn’t be enough to embrace this whole game. The map is huge, the story is intriguing, and everything just feels right with this game. I love this game. I’ve said that already right?

Assassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed OdysseyAssassin's Creed Odyssey

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition – 34%

This game on the other hand, I’m not enjoying as much as I thought I would have. I really enjoyed playing this game on the PS3, but I’m having a really hard time playing this game on the PS4 for some reason. I’m going to finish this game, but it’s just taking a while and I’m getting a little antsy when it comes to this game.

Far Cry 3 Classic EditionFar Cry 3 Classic EditionFar Cry 3 Classic Edition

Shadow of the Tomb Raider – 40%

So I have been dragging my feet to play this game because it was just super boring to me and the whole thing made no sense, but I’m at this part now where I’m having this big revelation. I’m really enjoying the game now and I want to, no need to, see how this game ends and see if this big theory I have on the game is true or not. I won’t spoil anything here, but I look forward to continuing this game.

There you have it, a total of 22 trophies for this week, not bad, but not as great as last week either. I’m pretty happy with my overall trophy haul and will continue to stay on this path for this week. The following week is going to be chaotic with the release of Red Dead Redemption too and the fact that I’ll be taking a little break from gaming and this blog. We’ll see how it goes though and I’ll let you know how everything worked out for this upcoming week next week.

This Week in Trophies 09-30-2018 – 10-06-2018

This was another awesome week of gaming for me as I crushed it again in the trophy department. I really had a great time gaming this week and even though I crushed it in the trophy department, I still really wish that I had more time to game. Doesn’t every adult though? Anyway onto the trophies that I was able to get for the week.

Marvel’s Spider-Man – 100%

I finally got the platinum trophy for this game. This was a huge success for me and I can’t wait to talk more about this game in my upcoming review this Wednesday.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 12%

I was extremely hyped about this game and when I finally got it on Friday I couldn’t wait to play it. Turns out the hype is real and I am really loving each and every aspect of this game. I can’t play enough of it and at this point it feels like I have to force myself to play other games that I was playing in order to finish them up when all I really want to do is play this game 24/7.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition – 26%

I’m still enjoying this game as I’ve only really been playing it one day a week. I’m going to try and up that, but with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey I feel like it’s going to be impossible. I will try and switch things up a bit, but we’ll see how it goes.

I finally finished the first episode of this game which means I’m not going to say a lot about it here and you’ll have to wait for my review which will be out next Wednesday.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider – 17%

I really don’t know what to think about this game. When I’m playing it I feel like I can’t put it down, when I’m not playing it, it’s the last thing on my mind. I’m on the fence with this game and I think I just need to progress through the story a little bit more and see how things go.

Shadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb RaiderShadow of the Tomb Raider

Word Search by POWGI (PS Vita) – 67%

I’m slowly making my way through this game and heading towards the platinum trophy. Since I’m playing on the PS Vita it makes it a little easier to play since I’m just basically playing whenever I’m watching something boring on TV or something that I’m really not into. It’s a great game for that.

And that’s it for this week, a total of 42 trophies which makes me extremely happy since by the end of the month this is going to completely drop to nothing as I head off to Spooky Empire, which promises to be the darker side of comic-con. That’s not until the end of the month though so I have plenty of time to make up for all the gaming that won’t be done that weekend. For the upcoming week I’m going to try and mix things up and play some Assassin’s Cred Odyssey, Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I want to give these games some equal time and attention so we’ll see how that goes and I’ll let you know my progress on the trophies next week.

This Week in Trophies 09-23-2018 – 09-29-2018

Can I say that I’m pretty damn impressed with myself this week when it comes to trophies? You’ll know why by the end of this blog when I give you the actual number of trophies, but it was just pretty amazing. I couldn’t believe the final count myself because I haven’t had a week like this in forever. Anyway, onto the trophies!

Far Cry 3: Classic Edition – 17%

I bought and started this game last week because to be honest it’s probably one of my favorite Far Cry games. This is most likely because it was my first Far Cry game that I played on the PS3. So a little nostalgia came into the mix here as I decided to buy and play this game again. I’m having a pretty good time playing this game again and I’m pretty happy with the progress that I was able to make during one gaming session. I can’t wait to continue to play this game and get the platinum for the second time.

Life is Strange 2 – 10%

I started this game really late last night and wasn’t able to fully complete the first episode, and by that I mean that I wasn’t able to go back and grab a few collectibles that I missed so I’ll be doing that this week. I’m still not sure what to think about this game at the moment and am going to need some time to process before writing my review of this game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man – 57%

I would say that I’m progressing nicely on this game and I’m happy with my progression. As far as the game itself goes, I’m kind of on the borderline when it comes to this game. I think that maybe I’m not a part of the huge Spider-Man hype that has been going on for a while and I just basically jumped into this game blindly and it makes it a little less enjoyable for me. Don’t get me wrong I love swinging around NYC and seeing all the sights and how well they were done, but the storyline for this game is falling a little flat for me.

I really had no intention of playing this game this week. It’s not like I had time to jump back into my game and actually play for an endless amount of hours, but someone on my friends list this week did and I was able to reap some of the rewards. So yeah, that’s basically what these trophies were, the hard work and dedication put in by someone else and I just happened to jump into their game, got my trophies and ran out.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider – 8%

I picked this game up last week when I went through my little binge buying state and I started playing. At the moment, while I’m enjoying the little time that I had to play this game I’m completely lost on the story. Guess I should have finished Rise of the Tomb Raider before starting this game. As I progress I think I’ll do fine though. We’ll see how it goes as it’s kind of going down the same path as the other newer Tomb Raiders and it’s getting a little boring even at the beginning.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season – 31%

I played the second episode of this game this week, but unfortunately did not actually get all the trophies so like the first episode I’ll have to go back and play again. That being said I really did enjoy this episode and I’m really sad that Telltale is closing its doors and that this game may never be finished. I know I’ve complained about Telltale plenty of times with their wonky quick time events, crashes, horrible loading times, and the list can go on, but they were a decent company that made some pretty memorable games and they will be very much missed as a lot of their games go unfinished.

Do you know what this game is great for on the PS4? Playing while you’re on hold with the cable company because your internet isn’t working. I was on hold with the cable company a lot this week as I had problems with my internet and needing to keep myself busy I played this game. Turned out to be good in my favor as I was at least able to get a trophy in.

Do you know what this game is great for on the PS Vita? Playing while you watch a bunch of TV shows that no longer hold your interest because it’s TV season again. So many times this week when I watched TV I found myself picking up my Vita and playing because a lot of my favorite shows have become boring and unwatchable for another season so instead I played this. Turned out to be a good thing because I was able to get 12 trophies for this game.

Are you ready for my total number of trophies this week? I certainly wasn’t when I first seen it, but it’s 68. 68 trophies in the matter of one week! This is one of the best trophy hunting weeks I’ve had in the longest times. I’m super happy with this number and for next week, I’m going to try and do more of the same with less interruptions to my streaming. For this upcoming week I plan on continuing to play and maybe finishing Marvel’s Spider-Man, continuing to play Far Cry 3: Classic Edition, continuing to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and starting Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at end of the week. I’ll let you know how everything goes next week.
