This Week in Trophies 10-23-2016 – 10-29-2016

This was a pretty lack luster week for me when it comes to trophies. It wasn’t for my lack of trying, although I did work another crazy schedule this week, it was just a blah week. Before the release of the third episode of Batman and Skyrim, I had only gotten one trophy. Don’t worry though, I have more to talk about than just one trophy so keep reading to see what else I was able to get this week.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 19%

I was able to get one single trophy from this game this week as I continue to work my way around the city. I think that this is one of those games that it starts off slow with the trophies but as the games gets towards the end, it’s just a continuous type thing. I might be wrong, but we’ll see as I try to get some more time in to play.

Tom Clancy's The Division

Batman – 60%

With the release of episode 3 this week, I didn’t think that I would have been able to fit it into my schedule but luckily I did. It was totally worth it and I don’t want to say too much about it because I’ll have my review up within the next couple of weeks. I know, I know, I’m still a little behind on my reviews.

Skyrim – 9%
I was totally excited that I was getting this game this week, and then I had to work on Friday. This wasn’t just a regular work day either as I had to combine my normal job with some freelance web design stuff all on the same day. I usually don’t like to do this, but sometimes things just happen. Anyway, I finally got a chance to play it late Friday night and I’ve been playing it ever since. I’m really enjoying my journey back into Skyrim and look forward to dumping another couple of hundred hours into this game.

Skyrim SkyrimSkyrim SkyrimSkyrim SkyrimSkyrim SkyrimSkyrim

That was it for this week. Nothing all that exciting, but it was something. Now for next week, I’m not going to lie. A lot of these games that I’m playing / have sitting on my system are going to get ignored because I’m in complete and total Skyrim mode. I’m not making any plans to play anything but Skyrim in the upcoming days and I’ll let you know by some chance if that changed next week.

This Week (and Last Week) in Trophies 10-02-2016 – 10-15-2016

In case you didn’t know, there have been no blogs last week because of Hurricane Matthew, which unfortunately was headed right for my direction. I’m glad to say that I came out just fine and lived to play another game. During this time, I learned a lot about my neighbors, who I basically knew nothing about. The tough looking biker guy who loves to rev his bike over and over and over again and his wife who I didn’t think looked all that friendly? They just happen to be the nicest people I’ve ever met as they helped me clear some downed trees. That creepy guy with the N7 hat who sometimes I catch staring into my window? Turns out to be an asshole, which I should have already known, who takes his trees and throws them onto my property to save his fat ass from hauling them to the front of the house. Now that I’ve had that quick vent, onto what you’re really here for, the trophies.

Deadpool – 18%

Right before the hurricane, I decided to play this game because what the hell. Also, because I had just seen the movie and thought that the game would be equally as funny. So far I’m enjoying it, I haven’t really gotten into it that much. It’s not a bad game but I don’t think I’m going to be ranking it as one of my all-time favorites any time soon.

Actual Sunlight – 100%

I played this during the hurricane, because did you really think I would go through a hurricane without having some kind of video game time? Anyway, I’ll have my full review of the game within the next few weeks.

Crazy Market – 40%

Another hurricane game as I tried to play as many Vita games as possible that didn’t require an internet connection because I had no power. I’m extremely happy I charged my Vita the night before and had enough battery life to last me while I was without power. Granted it wasn’t a long time, but it was long enough.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 17%

After some much needed cleanup, I was able to get back into gaming and was convinced by someone on my friends list to play this game. I started playing again after taking a little break and was instantly hooked once more. I look forward to once again getting into this game and finishing it up.

Tom Clancy's The Division Tom Clancy's The Division

Gems of War – 70%

I can’t tell you enough how addicted I am to this game. I don’t know why as it’s just one big Bejeweled game with some extra twists and turns added into it, but it’s one of the games that I spend hours upon hours playing. I enjoy every minute of it and I still have a bunch of open spots in my guild if anyone is looking to join.

Gems of War

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and I’m still kind of waiting for things to calm down a bit. Needless to say though, I will be taking a day to play Dragon Age: Origins because I missed two whole days of playing and I desperately miss the game. Other than that I’ll be working on some games that have been sitting on my PS4 as I try not to start anything new. I would expect to see some trophies for Deadpool, Tom Clancy’s The Division, and Gems of War next week. There might be some other trophies, but you’ll just have to come back to see what they are.

This Week in Trophies 09-18-2016 – 09-24-2016

This was a decent trophy week to say the least. It was a pretty boring week everywhere else, which was very much welcomed because sometimes you need stuff to not be so hectic so that you can just take a moment and breathe. This was one of those weeks and it made gaming a lot easier. Here’s a breakdown of what I did trophy wise this week.

Gems of War – 66%

So I’m really liking this game. Liking it so much that I go to play for an hour and end up playing for three or more hours at a time. It’s that good. I even did the whole guild thing, that’s how much I’m enjoying it. If anyone is interested in joining my Gems of War guild, I still have 9 open spots so let me know in the comments section below.

Gems of War Gems of WarGems of War Gems of War

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 15%

I got a lot more playtime in with this game this week and even opened my game up to random people. While this was ok, for some reason I still prefer to play alone at the moment. I did venture out into the Dark Zone for a little more this week, but didn’t really stay all that long since I couldn’t seem to get the hang of what I was supposed to do while out there. Other than that I enjoyed my time playing and will continue to do so.

Tom Clancy's The Division Tom Clancy's The Division

Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition – 33%

I know, I complain about this game almost every week yet I continue to play it. At this point, I’m really just trying to finish the game and get the platinum trophy. After that I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting rid of this game since I won’t be building some of those grand things that you see people building in Minecraft any time soon. I don’t’ mind building games, I really don’t. I just wish this one had some kind of point to it.

AdVenture Capitalist – 19%

Like I said this week, this is basically a game that plays itself so that’s what I’ve been letting it do. I’m actually regretting putting this on my system seeing how often it crashes and then completely crashes my PS4. I just want to finish up the trophies for this game and be done with it at this point.

AdVenture Capitalist

Batman – 40%

I played the new episode of Batman this week, which was interesting. I don’t want to give anything away at the moment, but I will have my review of the entire episode up within the next few weeks so keep watching this spot for it.

Batman BatmanBatman BatmanBatman Batman

That was it for this week. A pretty interesting week and a nice amount of trophies, especially since my nights have been occupied with all the new TV shows that have started up for the fall. Sometimes it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day. Now for this upcoming week it’s going to be difficult. There’s that boring “Adult” stuff that I will most likely have to do, even though I’ll try to get out of it as much as possible, but other than that I’ll be spending a day playing Dragon Age: Origins because even after all these years it’s still my favorite. Throughout the week I’ll also continue playing Gems of War, AdVenture Capitalist, Tom Clancy’s The Division, and Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition.

This Week in Trophies 09-11-2016 – 09-17-2016

Mark this week as another crazy one with work and a very short tattoo session thrown in for good measure. I’ll tell you about the tattoo session another time because I didn’t get to fully have the background on my current tattoo done and I think without it fully being done, it really doesn’t do the work that was done any justice. Anyway, moving on to my trophies for the week. While I continued to play some games, I added a couple of more free games into the mix because why the hell not.

Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition – 27%

I played this game on and off this week and it’s only to help out my Dad. I mean, I’ve been getting trophies like crazy, but if it wasn’t for him I would really have absolutely no interest in the game since I have no idea what the hell to do whenever I play. There’s no set story, there’s no set quest, and I’m just lost when I play.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 12%

I continued to play this game this week and had a blast doing so. I can see how it gets a little repetitive after a while, but I’m still having fun at the moment while I play. I did enter the Dark Zone this week and then quickly backed out as I was killed by a rogue agent about 30 seconds after I entered. So yeah, I’ll eventually go back into the Dark Zone just not at the moment.

AdVenture Capitalist – 14%

As most of you already know this game is free and it’s really hard for me to pass up a free game. This was one of the free games that I got this week and started playing. So far, it’s not a bad game. It’s not an amazing one either, but what do you want for free? Anyway, once everything is setup the game basically plays itself and all you have to do is check on it at least once a day.

AdVenture Capitalist AdVenture CapitalistAdVenture Capitalist

Gems of War – 41%

Another free game this week, but this one is different. I really like the concept that it’s a Bejeweled type game with a twist. You’ll assemble a team of warriors to fight against another team of warriors by moving gems around the board and making matches. There’s more into it than that, but I can say that for a free game it is pretty cool.

Gems of War Gems of WarGems of War Gems of WarGems of War Gems of WarGems of War Gems of WarGems of War Gems of War

That was it for this week. Another decent trophy week that I was pretty happy with. For the upcoming week I’ll be enjoying my day of Dragon Age: Origins along with playing some more of Tom Clancy’s The Division, checking AdVenture Capitalist daily, and getting in some Gems of War when I get a chance. I’ll probably be playing Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition every once in a while as well. I’ll let you know how things went next week.

This Week in Trophies 09-04-2016 – 09-10-2016

I feel like even though this has been a super crazy, very stressful week, that I still got a lot done gaming wise. Since I’m always pretty vague on some personal aspects I will say that I work a very boring desk job and I also freelance as a Web Designer. This week both job aspects were extremely crazy as my boring desk job was anything but and an old client who decided he didn’t want a website decided that he wanted one again and he wanted it yesterday. Needless to say, gaming is my very much needed escape from everything. Let’s take a look at what trophies I was able to get between the crazy.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 7%

I continued to play this game this week and I can’t stress enough how much I love this game. I really don’t know why, but I just do. If I could play all day I would since there’s just so much to do. Anyway, this game is becoming a fast favorite and at the moment I’m enjoying my time playing solo, but I’m sure I’ll have to get into actually playing with other people real soon.

Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition – 16%

As I said last week, I would be starting this game in order to help out someone on my friends list, LMD, who just happens to be my dad. Since he’s helped me out so much in the past, I felt obligated to help him since he really doesn’t get into that many games and usually sticks to one or two games at most. Anyway, he loves this game and needed some help so I offered. I actually enjoyed my time playing this week and look forward to continuing.

Fallout 4 – 86%

I finished the main story for Nuka-World this week. I still have a lot that needs to be done for that DLC, but I have to say that it was not bad. I didn’t really expect to see my beloved character go from the ultimate good guy to the ultimate bad guy, but I have to say it was a welcomed change and kinda fun. Anyway, there’s still a lot to do when it comes to this DLC which means some more time playing Fallout 4 in upcoming weeks.

Fallout 4 Fallout 4Fallout 4 Fallout 4

That was it for this week. Not a bad trophy haul if you ask me, but next week is probably going to be a little different. Work plans on being crazy and so does the freelance Web Design stuff and I can only put things off for so long before I have to stay in the real world and do real world things. I am going to try to game as much as possible but I also have a tattoo session this week that I’m of course looking forward to. Of course I’ll be telling you more about that in the upcoming weeks, but as for gaming this week, I’m going to get in a day of playing some Dragon Age: Origins while I continue to play Tom Clancy’s The Division, Minecraft, and Fallout 4. I might download a couple of free games that are available for the PS4 too, but that’s a huge maybe and it depends on how much time I actually have. Anyway, I let you know how things go next week.

This Week in Trophies 08-28-2016 – 09-03-2016

This was a mixture of boring and crazy, if you could believe that, all rolled into what felt like a really really long week. While I did get a lot of gaming done, I also had a super busy week and for some reason it never feels like I can game enough anymore. Have I mentioned how much I hate being an adult? A real adult that has to work in a non-dream job environment. Anyway, here’s the newest trophy count.

Dragon Age: Origins – 98%

I re-started an old favorite last week and my first priority was to finish that damn Darkspawn Chronicles DLC. I can gladly report that I did and I’ll have my review of the DLC as a whole up within the next couple of weeks. Other than that it’s back to playing the main game before playing my final DLC The Golems of Amgarrak.

Far Cry Primal – 100%

Just as I kind of predicted, I finished this game this week and was able to get the platinum trophy. Go me, platinum trophy # 62. I never in a million years thought I would have been able to get this many platinum trophies, but sometimes dreams do come true. Anyway, I’ll have my full review of this game up within the next couple of weeks. I have a ton of reviews and everything is kind of backlogged, like the pile of games I still have to play. Bonus Points! If you can find the trophy snapshot that made me giggle.

Fallout 4 – 82%

I started playing Fallout 4 again this week with the release of Nuka World. I’m not sure what to think of this DLC yet as unlike the main game it kind of encourages you to be a shitty person. I’m on the fence whether or not I like it yet, mostly because Piper left me when I decided to open fire on some friendly factions, but then again I really like playing the bad guy. I’ve also made more money in this DLC than I have throughout the whole game. Anyway, I’m at a point where I’m kinda stuck with an enemy that kills me within 5 seconds and I’m not sure where my last save is going to take me. So yeah…kinda screwed but I’ll see if I can figure something out.

Fallout 4

Tom Clancy’s The Division – 1%

I finished Far Cry Primal and felt like I deserved to start a new game so I did. This one is kind of a surprise I know, but I did get this one on a very good sale that I’ve been waiting for and decided to not wait until the end of the year. So far I’m really loving this game, granted I’m not that far into it and I might tell you next week that I hate this game, but right now I love it. The only problem is that I really can’t tell if my character is male or female. It’s not a big deal, but I’m pretty sure I choose the female option, she just looks really androgynous.

Tom Clancy's The Division

That was it for this week, in my opinion it was a pretty badass week as I finished a DLC, got a platinum trophy, started some DLC, and started a new game. Now for next week it really depends on how my week goes, but I’ll be playing some more Dragon Age: Origins, continue playing Tom Clancy’s The Division, see if I can get myself out of a very sticky situation in Fallout 4, and probably start Minecraft for the PS4. Yes I know, I really didn’t want to play this game, but someone that has helped me out over and over again, LMD, has requested that I play and since he’s helped me out so much I feel obligated. I’ll let you know how things went next week.
