Frequently Asked Video Game Questions – Is the Trophy “Taken for a Ride” glitched for Fallout 4?

Submitted by Anonymous – Is the Trophy “Taken for a Ride” glitched for Fallout 4?

Because I personally didn’t have any problems when it came to playing this DLC myself, I had to look this one up. For me everything worked as it should and I got this trophy when I should, but there seems to be a lot of complaints when it comes to this trophy. A lot of people are getting stuck after this quest is just about over when you’ve beaten the overboss and have become the new overboss. A door is supposed to open for you, but for those of you that are having a glitch the door doesn’t open and you can’t progress. I’ve seen people talking about uninstalling and reinstalling the DLC, but that doesn’t seem to work, and neither does restarting the game.

I couldn’t find evidence of this problem being solved so I’m going to say that before you even start playing Nuka World that you create a main back up save for your game. By this time you’ve already probably spent hundreds of hours into this game and there’s no reason you should lose all of your data because of a glitch. Once you have your main save, create another save to play off of. If everything works out fine then you can delete your backup save if you want, but if things don’t work out at least you can go back to a time before you played Nuka World.

Watch_Dogs Social Lubricant PATCHED

As of today, the drinking games in Watch_Dogs, which once completed gets you the Social Lubricant trophy, have been patched. Yes, that day has finally come and I know a lot of people have been waiting for this so that they can be finished with this game. Like some people, I got this trophy a few weeks before the patch so this is kind of irrelevant for me.

If you are one of the people who were waiting for this patch so that you could finish the game, here are the patch notes for the drinking games:
– Increase round fail time by 20%.
– Increase button cycling time by 50%.
– Increase player reticle radius by 25% in collect button mode.
– Increase player reticle last frame velocity impact on this frame position by 70%.
– Increase player input factor by 50%.
– Reduce max force applied randomly to player reticle from 0.35 to 0.29.
– Reduce moving target speed by 15%.

Hopefully those of you who didn’t get the Social Lubricant trophy can now get it. I just think that the only thing that should have been adjusted was for the player to use the focus ability during the drinking games. Judging by these patch notes, the drinking games now seem dumbed down making this probably one of the easiest trophies in the game.

This patch took a while to come out, and the reason why I think this patch took so long to come out isn’t because Ubisoft was collecting feedback from users, but because they wanted to see how many people were actually getting this trophy and playing the game. When the amount of people getting this trophy and playing the game slowed down, they released the patch hoping people would jump back into the game and play once more. So you can see that this patch is their marketing ploy to get people to jump back into their game. The more people talk about the patch and start getting the trophy, the more people that start playing Watch_Dogs again. Very slick.

Yes, the drinking games were extremely annoying and just about controller breaking, but a little time and patience was all it really took to get this trophy. If you want to see what each drinking game looked like before this patch you can take a look at my video’s here:
The Wards – Level 1 – 10
The Loop – Level 1 – 10
Pawnee – Level 1 – 10

Final Verdict? For those of you that need the Social Lubricant as the last trophy for your platinum, then go for it. You might as well get it now and just move on from the game. There are way too many games coming out over the next few months to be stuck on this one. I just want to take these final moments to brag that I got it before the patch. 😀
