Weekly Trophy Tip – LEGO STAR WARS: The Force Awakens – I Like That Wookiee…

LEGO STAR WARS: The Force Awakens

This trophy will be one of those trophies that you’ll be getting when you go through your “clean-up” phase of playing LEGO STAR WARS: The Force Awakens. If you know LEGO games then you know what I’m talking about when I say your “clean-up” phase. Anyway, this trophy is pretty simple and there’s a really simple way to get it and I’m going to tell you how.

LEGO STAR WARS: The Force Awakens – I Like That Wookiee…
Complete a Free Play level playing as Maz Kanata and Chewbacca – Bronze
TIP: What’s good about this trophy is that it can be done in any level once it’s unlocked for Free Play. So here’s the thing, go ahead and pick the level you want to do your free play in. For me it was one that I was able to get multiple trophies in at the same time, but that’s just me. Anyway, once you have your level, make sure to go to the very last section of that level which is available when you choose the free play mode. When you do this make sure you pick your main characters as the Chewbacca. Make sure he’s the original one that you play during the main campaign and not the one with a mask. Once you enter the level, switch to the second character and select Maz Kanata. Once both of them are on the screen, go to the options menu and choose exit level. Save and exit the level and your trophy will pop. You also have the option to continue playing the level as both of them if you want and play to the end. The choice is yours.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Virginia – Aleph

While the trophies for this game are super simple, there isn’t a reason why you shouldn’t get any of these trophies and eventually get the platinum, but the descriptions for trophies is a whole other story. They are so vague and have nothing to do with the game at all. It’s really weird and it can prevent you from getting some trophies that are pretty simple. Anyway, let’s make it a little more simple to get at least one of the trophies for this game.

Virginia – Aleph
Get your foot off my neck – Bronze
TIP: Seriously, if you’re playing this game you probably have no idea what the hell to do when it comes to this trophy just by looking at the trophy description. Is someone going to be stepping on your neck at one point in the game? Will you have to remove that foot? What do you have to do to get this trophy??!! It’s really simple actually as this happens in one of the first scenes of the game. After shutting off Anne’s alarm clock and going through her daily routine before work, you’ll find yourself in a Taxi. Make sure to stare out the right side of the window and wait for the Virginia sign to pop up. Follow the sign with your pointer until it passes and you’ll have the first trophy for this game. Simple right? Need some more help, take a look at the video below to see how I did it.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Letter Quest Remastered – Why?

While most of the trophies for this game are just a grind, this one can be a little tricky if you aren’t actually paying attention and trying to actually get this trophy. Why you might ask? Keep reading to find out and to find out some tips on how to quickly and efficiently get this trophy.

Letter Quest Remastered – Why?
Spell 3 words with no vowels – Bronze
TIP: While this trophy is of course super easy to get, when I was trying to get it the only word I could think of that didn’t have a vowel is Why. Yes, I know there are a ton of words that don’t have vowels, but the name of the trophy alone plays a little trick with your head and you think that the only real word without a vowel is why. Spoiler alert, it’s totally not, so here’s a list of suitable words for you to use in order to get this trophy:

• Dry
• Fly
• Fry
• Cry
• Pry
• Gym
• Shy
• Sky
• Sly
• Spy
• Try
• Why
• Hymn
• Cyst
• Myth
• Crypt
• Gypsy
• Lynch
• Nymph
• Rhythm(s)

Please note that the words you use have to be at least three letters since that is all the game will accept. These are just a few words that you can use in order to make getting this trophy just a little easier. There are more, but I’m not going to list them all for you, just enough for you to get by.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Actual Sunlight – Inconspicuous Consumption

While most of the trophies for this game will come naturally because the game really requires you to click everything that’s clickable at all times, this one is sometimes over looked. If you miss if the first time you’ll have to go back and start a new game in order to get it. Let’s avoid having to go back and play again and have you get this trophy on the first try.

Actual Sunlight – Inconspicuous Consumption
Review the most obscure item in the store – Bronze
TIP: While progressing through the game, you’ll come up on the first day of the game where our main character, Evan, has to go to work. After chatting up as many people as you can at his job, you’ll go to your desk and select work. After that scene, you’ll find yourself in a convenience store. Here there will be a bunch of different items for you to click, but the one item that you want to click is the microwave which is all the way on the top right of the screen and will be the last item in the store.

The first time I played this game, I went through and clicked on everything in the store including the microwave, but the trophy didn’t pop. The second time I played, when I entered the store the only thing that I clicked was the microwave and the trophy popped. I don’t know if this was a glitch or not, but I’m going to say that when you play just to make sure to go to the microwave first and click on it to avoid having to go back and try again.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Fallout 4 – Raiding for a Living

This trophy tip comes courtesy of Fallout 4’s new DLC Nuka-World. Probably the biggest DLC out of all the DLC’s that have been released for this game, there are a lot of trophies that are based on you and your actions and this is one of them. Get ready to play the bad guy or girl as you get this trophy.

Fallout 4 – Raiding for a Living
Complete 12 quests for any Nuka-World Raider gangs –Bronze
TIP In order to get this trophy, you’re going to have to align yourself with the three gangs of Nuka-World. I would suggest doing this before completing any of the missions after Taken for a Ride since it’s easier and you’ll get more quests. Talk to gang leaders Mason (The Pack), Nisha (The Disciples), and Mags (The Operators) and let them know that you’re willing to work for them. Once you do this they’ll start handing you out work. Now in order to get this trophy, all you have to do is complete 12 quests from the gang “collective”, meaning that you can complete 4 for each gang and get the trophy. It doesn’t have to be just for one gang.

What I did, and what helped a lot, was that I picked up mission from each gang and then headed back out to the common wealth. I completed each of the three quests, headed back to Nuka-World, turned them in, and got a new quest. I did this three more times and then got the trophy.

The quests themselves are basic and simple which really don’t require much work, but as I said before, these are gangs you’re working for so be prepared if you’re playing as a squeaky clean character to do some pretty horrible things. Depending on what character you bring with you he/she might turn against you.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Saints Row: Gat out of Hell – Are You Crazy?

This trophy, ugh this trophy. It was such a pain in the ass to get. It seemed like the simplest thing to do that when I first seen it, I was like well that can’t be hard. Boy was I wrong. I figured I would help you guys out a little and give you a few pointers on how to make this trophy a little easier.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell – Are You Crazy?
Get a Comet into the Ultor lobby – Bronze
TIP: For this trophy, you want to find a Comet, which is one of those small little compact cars that are usually on fire, really close to the Ultor HQ. This is pretty easy since there’s a bridge nearby and these cars are just about everywhere. You’ll want to find one that isn’t on fire or look like it’s about to burst into flames the second you get into it because you need this car to last. Once you get into the car, and I can’t stress this enough, carefully drive to the Ultor HQ. Park right out in front of any of the two lobby doors and get out of the car. Open two of the four doors before getting back into the car. Once into the car, drive into the lobby. This isn’t as simple as it seems either because it’s going to take a little maneuvering as you try to wiggle your way into the lobby with the car. Once you’re in the trophy should pop.

Now while that doesn’t seem all that difficult, I will tell you that it takes a little while to find a Comet that is actually durable enough to do this. I can’t tell you how many times I got into one of these cars only to have it immediately catch fire and explode. Another helpful tip for trying to get this trophy is to make sure you have absolutely no notoriety. This way Satan’s minions aren’t shooting at you and you’re not causing extra damage to the car. Take a look at the video below to see how I did it.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Mass Effect 2 – No One Left Behind

Since I’ve been replaying Mass Effect 2, it seems fitting that one of my weekly trophy tips be for a game that I basically know inside and out and at this point feels like I can play with my eyes closed. It’s taken a while to get to know this game as much as I do and it feels right to share that knowledge in case you may be struggling with some of the harder trophies for this game. So, let’s make sure no one gets left behind in your playthrough and you get this highly missable trophy.

Mass Effect 2 – No One Left Behind
Keep your team alive through the Suicide Mission – Gold
TIP: This trophy can be achieved on any difficulty level, so I would say to play on the difficulty that you feel most comfortable with. There’s no shame in playing this game on casual as it is one of the more difficult Mass Effects to play on Insanity. Anyway, the very first thing that you want to do is to make sure your Shepard is either a complete Paragon or Renegade. Playing both sides won’t help you in any way this time around as you need those Paragon or Renegade options to unlock in order to break up fights between your squad mates so that you aren’t choosing one of the other. Once you’ve decided how to play make sure you take every chance to make every single Paragon or Renegade move the game has to offer. I know playing as a Renegade you may be tempted to make the occasional Paragon choice, but don’t. You can do that in another playthrough when you’re not trying to save your whole team. I will say though that it’s easier to keep the whole team alive playing as a Paragon but it can be done playing as a Renegade as well since I’ve successfully kept my whole team alive playing as both.

The second thing you need to do is to make sure that you actually interact with each of your squad mates and do all of their loyalty missions. Doing this basically ensures that they make it through the suicide mission because they are loyal to you. Another thing that helps? Fully upgrading your ship no matter the cost. Yes it means that you have to probe a bunch of planets and it can feel like a huge waste of time, but it’s not. Without a fully upgraded ship, things will go wrong and it could mean the death of one of your squad mates.

Lastly, when you finally decide to go through the Omega 4 relay, you’ll have to assign certain team members to do certain things. Some of the team members cannot do the things you want them so it’s always smart to assign them correctly in order to assure they don’t die. Here’s a breakdown of who I choose for each task.

Collector Base Infiltration
• Tech Specialist – Tali
• Diversion Squad Leader – Jacob

The Long Walk
• Biotic Specialist – Samara
• Second Team – Garrus
• Escort for the Survivors – Grunt

This means that during the final battle I take into battle with me Miranda and Thane, but you can choose whoever you want as long as they aren’t already assigned to another mission. Follow these steps and you’ll look like a “Big Goddamn Hero” as Zaeed would put it when you’re whole team survives. I also want to comment that it makes you feel really good to when you do the impossible and bring everyone back from what was supposed to be a suicide mission.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Tropico 5 – Claustrophilia

This week’s trophy tip comes courtesy of Tropico 5. The thing with this game is that while the campaign is super difficult, the trophies that don’t involve playing the campaign don’t have to be that difficult. This is one of those trophies that can easily be gained and doesn’t take a lot of time to do so.

Tropico 5 – Claustrophilia
Won a Sandbox game on a Tiny island – Bronze
TIP: When starting Tropico 5, in order to get this trophy you want to click on New Game and then click on Sandbox. Once there you can use an already existing Dynasty or create a new one, the choice is yours. Once you have your Dynasty chosen you’re going to want to adjust the settings Map settings. Here is where you’re going to choose that you want to play on a tiny island. What you’re going to do is go to Generated Map and click on it. From there you’ll choose the island size. Choose tiny, but before starting adjust a few more settings so that you’ll be able to get this trophy quickly. Change you’re starting money to Unlimited and change the economic difficulty and political difficulty to very low. Then change your victory by points and set it to 3.

BONUS TIP: It is my strong suggestion that since there are two trophies for playing on Sandbox mode that you also get the To Live in Interesting Times trophy as well. While you’re setting up your gaming for playing on a tiny island, go ahead and change the disaster settings to relentless. Once you do this you’re ready to play the game. One a tiny island with the victory set to a low point the chance of getting a disaster before you hit the 3 points is extremely low and you just got two trophies instead of one.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug – Dig

This is one of those trophies that isn’t extremely hard, but it does require some patience and a good strategy. With both of those this trophy is as good as yours, so let’s help you get this trophy.

Arcade Game Series: Dig Dug – Dig
Dig through the entire area on any Round! – Gold
TIP: For this trophy, you’re going to want to start on round one. Why? Because it’s the easiest round. Think of this round as an introduction round. This is basically where you’ll learn how to play the game and get any other trophy that requires you to do silly little things. Before you start though you’re going to want to bump your men up to 5 so that you have some extra lives in case you end up dying. In order to dig through the entire area, you should start with an up and down motion. Avoid enemies if possible, but you can kill them as long as you leave two of them on the board. If you only leave one on the board the round is basically over. Anyway, once you finish digging up and down throughout the entire board, start moving from left to right or right to left, whatever your preference is until the trophy pops. Kill the last two enemies and be on your way. Below is a video of how I did it.

Weekly Trophy Tip – Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man – Picky Eater

You know the saying practice makes perfect, well that’s probably the most fitting tip that I can give for this week’s trophy tip. There are a couple of things that you can do though to make your time getting this trophy less controller breaking and a little easier. Let’s get you this trophy.

Arcade Game Series: Ms. Pac-Man – Picky Eater
Clear 3 rounds in a row without eating a single ghost and without losing a life! – Gold
TIP: The easiest way to get this trophy is to start at round 1 since you have to clear 3 rounds in a row without losing a live. The first three rounds are the easiest in the game and it’s better to get it done during these rounds instead of the later rounds when everything is a little crazy. It’ll take some practice and some getting used to, but learn the pattern that the ghosts move and create your own route to move around the board. The first two rounds are on the same map so this makes it a little easier, but the third one is different and it could throw you for a little loop since you haven’t had time to adjust yourself to that new map pattern. Take your time though and make sure to watch the ghosts. Try not to trap yourself in any corners and eat the power pellets when you need to. If you find yourself getting frustrated take some time away from the game before starting again. Below is a short video of how I did it.
