I Never Finished…X-Men Origins: Wolverine…Because

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

My first mistake with this game was probably that I rented it to begin with, which as you can tell has never really worked out for me, and then my second mistake had to be that I thought this game would actually be good because I am a huge X-Men fan. Huge. Mistake number two right there because sadly we all know that games that are the counter parts to movies are usually never really all that good in the first place.

Based on the movie that came out around the same time, this is your basic hack and slash game that loosely follows the same plot of the movie. It tells how Wolverine became Wolverine. There’s also some original plot lines thrown in there for good measure, but for the life of me I can’t even remember what they were.

As you can see from the picture above, I was only able to get 19 out of the 51 trophies for this game. It’s a shame really because these were some really easy trophies. This was still sadly in that time when I was not a trophy hunter and could care less about trophies so this game was played for a few days and then tossed to the side. I got through a couple of story missions and then completed a bunch of random tasks to get some of the random trophies for this game but that was it. Truthfully I just wasn’t impressed by this game. Yes I enjoyed the movie, but the game was a different story.

Probability of this game getting played again…0 out of 5.

I know if I found this game and played it that it would be a super easy platinum trophy, but I just can’t. I have absolutely no interest to try and find this game or even try to play this game again. It’s just one of those games that will forever sit on my list being incomplete and I’m ok with that.

Now it’s your turn. Are you like me and played this game, thought it was meh, and now it just sits on your trophy list as incomplete? Or! Or, maybe you’re not like me at all and thought this was the greatest game every. You have the platinum trophy and you’ll even pick this game up and play it from time to time. Let me know in the comments section below. Now for next week, a game in a series of games that I absolutely loved on the PS2 but found the PS3 start of the series to be seriously lacking. It’s Fight Night Round 4. I’ll let you know more about why I never finished this game next week.
