Most Anticipated Game for August 2016

The time is upon us again, another month is just about over and a whole new month is about to start. A whole new month means more video game releases as we come one step closer to the main video game season, where everything comes out all at once and I realize why I’m always so broke in the first place. Let’s see if August has anything interesting coming out that will take me away from my backlog.

*Just as a side note, my list of August releases is not perfect. There might be some missing, or some dates may change. If you have anything you want to add feel free to let me know in the comments and I’ll include it in the list.*

08/09/2016
No Mans Sky – PS4

08/19/2016
F1 2016 – PS3

08/23/2016
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – PS4
Madden NFL 17 – PS4 / PS3
The King of Fighters XIV – PS4

08/30/2016
Resident Evil 4 – PS4
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X – PS4 / PS Vita
Attack on Titan – PS4
God Eater 2: Rage Burst – PS4
Assetto Corsa – PS4

And there you have it, another list of games for that looks eh for August. I’m guessing that since No Mans Sky actually went gold that it will actually be released on the 9th like it’s supposed to this time. This is one of the games that I’ve said before that I think is over hyped and I’ll be skipping altogether. I’ll also be skipping Deus Ex and Madden NFL 17, which means another month of working on my backlog. Unfortunately, none of these games make the cut for my holiday sale list.

Here’s my running list of games that I’ll be looking for during holiday sale time, with nothing new added this month.
• LEGO: Marvel’s Avengers
• Alekhine’s Gun
• Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
• Far Cry Primal
• Republique
• Tom Clancy’s: The Division
• Tales from the Borderlands – PS3
• Overwatch
• Dead Island Definitive Collection
• Ghostbusters

Now it’s your turn. Let me know in the comments section below if you’ll be picking up any of these games. I know a lot of you will probably be picking up No Mans Sky. While I think the game is way over hyped and I would rather wait for the next Mass Effect for my space exploration game, I’m always happy to hear everyone else’s opinions. Who knows, maybe I’m wrong and No Mans Sky is an absolutely amazing game that I’m missing out on. Maybe I’ll even add it to my list of holiday games if I hear anything good about it.

  1. Apart from the obvious No Man’s Sky! I’d say Attack on Titan or God Eater 2, which both look pretty interesting.

      • Will certainly do! Is that because of the overhyped nature? Or that you’re not a fan of its style?

      • I don’t mind the style of it, I just think it’s way over hyped. Kind of like Destiny was. I beat the main story in a day and everything else was just farming which got boring really fast.

      • Yeah Destiny died pretty fast for me. As long as it’s not a mindless grind and that what we can do is interesting enough.
